Idol in peril! Toshiko vs Rise

As Rise slowly and agonisingly got up to her feet and got into a fighting stance to face Toshiko the martial artist angrily ordered her to fight. An easy early victory was staring her right in the face, but it seemed that Toshiko was not interested in that as much as she was looking to get a fight out of the idol. Rise stared fearfully at the masked woman for a moment before turning around and running away, going as fast as she could. She made a beeline for the ropes, then at the last moment she jumped into the ropes and rebounded off of them, raising her knee in the hopes that she would be launched straight into Toshiko and that her knee would strike her in the abs. At least, that's what she hoped for.

Toshiko Ito continued to spitefully look at Rise as she looked back with fear in her eyes. She watched as the idol went to blast her with a knee, which Toshiko deftly sidestepped. The Twilight Edge watched her whiff before forcefully turning her to face her. "Pathetic," was the simple retort to Rise's attempt.

And then Toshiko would unleash hell. Performing one of her signatures, she would fire off multiple elbow strikes and forearms in Rise's direction, attempting to wear her down as she swung with impact and precision, wanting to keep Rise off of her game and then open her up to finish with a final high roundhouse kick, attempting to blast the idol's head with a stiff kick to finish off her Rush of Madness signature move.

When Rise attempted to knee Toshiko in the stomach only to whiff right past her the idol knew already that she was in trouble. But when the woman gave off that simple "pathetic" Rise could FEEL how screwed she was in her bones. Though in the following seconds all she could feel in her bones was pain as she was barraged with elbow strikes and forearms, each one making the idol cry out in pain, barely staying on her feet by a thread. But even that was nothing next to the finishing blow; a high kick that launched Rise off her feet, soaring through the air for a moment before she came crashing down. Rise hit the mat with such a heavy impact that she bounced once, then lay on the mat unmoving. The referee took a step closer and examined Rise closely, checking to make sure that she was unconscious, or to make sure that she wasn't dead.

Toshiko's barrage of strikes was nearly uncontested by Rise. They hit with impressive thuds and thwacks, as Ito's body almost seemingly danced with each strike, elegant in how violent it was. And then, the Japanese striker would suddenly hit a roundhouse kick with a loud WHACK! Rise's body fell right after as she lay on the mat, not moving. Toshiko stared down at her foe coldly as the referee checked on her.

The Twilight Edge wasn't done though. She would place her foot underneath Rise's chin, slowly pushing her up to a standing position by her boot. The referee looked concerned, but still couldn't do anything about it. Staring dead into the listless eyes of her opponent, she would push her body upright for the only moment she needed before spinning and firing yet another kick to the side of Rise's head, nailing the Twilight Grasp!

Waiting for Rise's body to hit the mat again, she would look down at Rise once more, the girl absolutely unconscious. Ito looked annoyed, now. Easy. A waste of her time. Devoid of challenge or a chance to improve herself. The referee would check on Rise again until Toshiko would roughly grab hold of the deadweight of Rise and then grab hold of her, starting to muscle her up to her feet, ill-intent in her eyes with the desire to make a further statement with the glorified ragdoll that was her opponent.

Surprisingly Rise was actually still conscious following Toshiko's 'Rush of Madness', albeit only barely. She saw Toshiko place a foot underneath her chin through blurred vision and watched her gaze move up the martial artists body as Ito forced her to stand. Although 'stand' wasn't exactly an accurate term since all that was keeping her up was Toshiko's foot, her legs certainly weren't doing anything to help. In Rise's weakened state there was nothing she could do to stop Toshiko, so Toshiko's knockout kick went completely unopposed without so much as a whisper of protest. Rise dropped to the side and her world went completely dark.

As Toshiko picked up Rise yet again there was a strong reaction from the crowd. Many of them were fans of Rise or just general wrestling fans who thought she was taking things too far that boo'd her, yelling at her to just pin Rise or yelling at the referee for doing nothing. Though there were some that egged her on, wanting to see her beat on the idol even more and reduce her to a pulp. All eyes were on Toshiko's next move, so much so that no one noticed the new arrivals until they were already entering the ring, but when they did Toshiko would suddenly hear the shocked reactions of the crowd.

There were two intruders that entered the ring. One was a tall blonde man who had the look of a thug and a metal chair slung over one shoulder, the other a short and slender blue haired woman who looked Toshiko up and down like she was scanning her for weaknesses. The two of them stood side by side, glaring the martial artist down. The man's name was Kanji Tatsumi and the woman was Naoto Shirogane.

Kanji growled at Toshiko, towering over her in an attempt to intimidate her "Hey, that's our friend you've got there! Let her go!" Naoto sighed and raised a hand to stop Kanji, for now "You've already won, that's plain to see. Just end it and walk away." Though the woman spoke calmly her anger was written visibly on her face. It would be clear by their body language that though they were restraining themselves for now the two of them were absolutely ready for a fight. It was up to Toshiko if she wanted one.

Toshiko Ito had muscled Rise back to her feet, having to push up the dead weight of her nearly unconscious, or potentially unconscious, opponent. As the Twilight Edge got Rise up, she was prepared to lay another attack on her. However, she felt two more people enter the ring, stomping towards her. It was a pair of other performers, with both of them ready to attack were she to go further. Toshiko might have a hot head at times, and may have hated having her time wasted, but she still knew better than to pick a fight with both of them, even if she thought through how to attack both of them.

Ito would then shove Rise to the mat in front of both Kanji and Naoto and, after another moment, she would place her foot on top of Rise's chest, staring at both of them over her mask with a hardened look. "Count," she stated in a terse tone, to which the referee went down, probably at a quicker than normal count.

"One, Two, Three!"

The bell rang and Toshiko's theme played as the referee went to raise the Twilight Edge's hand in victory, only for her to yank it away, giving Rise's friends a fearless look before stepping back off of Rise. She would then walk around her fallen opponent's body and then past Naoto, seemingly unafraid that she would attack her as she walked away.

The heavyweight striker would then gracefully roll over the top rope and then drop to the ground, frustrated and annoyed at her lack of a challenge in this match up, while also hating the fact that she had others get involved. Still, she was victorious, and she would take a win, regardless of how simple it may have been.

Kanji and Naoto both watched as Toshko shoved Rise down to the mat and planted a foot on her chest, neither of them giving an inch while the martial artist stared them down with a hard look. As Rise was pinned she would not move even one inch throughout the referee's count though frankly it wouldn't have mattered if the referee was counting to three hundred, the idol was out like a light and she probably wasn't going to get up for a while. As Toshiko walked past Naoto on her way out the ring Naoto wouldn't give her a second glance, instead she ran past her to tend to her friend "Rise, are you alright?"

Kanji on the other hand didn't rush to his friend's side and instead gave Toshiko a death glare as she made her way out of the ring, wanting to make sure that she didn't try anything funny. Murmurs broke out amongst the audience who were sure that a brawl was about to break out, but Ito left the ring without any incidents and Kanji was able to restrain himself enough to not go after her. Once Toshiko had left Kanji would join Naoto and the two of them would take Rise back to her changing room.
