Good day all. I have been thinking lately (A dangerous thing, I know) and, this isn't something I'm particularly proud of, I believe I've had the most roster turnover in LAW's history. Obviously something like that can't be proven (can it?) but, judging how many times my name pops up on the Reference Checker (over 50!) Of course, now I believe my roster of 25 is set in stone, I decided to make a criteria on whether or not an old character need retiring. I ask myself three questions:
1) Am I intrested in playing with this character?
2) Have others expressed interest in playing this character and/or is this character populer?
3) Do I feel like finding/creating a character to replace them?
If I answer YES to any of these questions, that character stays, if I answer NO to all three, well, off to the incinerator with you.
My question for the community at large is this: Is roster turnover an exclusive Pride problem, if not, how do you decide when to give up on a character? Do you do the same as I do, or something different?

Re: A question for the community: Roster Turnover
I've never retired any characters. There are definitely characters I feel like I don't use as much as others, especially now that my roster's expanded a fair bit, but I'm still interested in using them, and I try to keep the use of my roster balanced. I feel like I'd miss my characters if I had to get rid of them. They've all grown close to me, and I have fond memories with each of them.
If you feel like you can't keep track of your roster, you could always try adopting your characters out to other users. I'm sure there would be plenty that would be interested in them, and it helps keep them around.

Re: A question for the community: Roster Turnover
I've never retired any but I always figured that I'd retire a girl if she was not only unpopular, but also a character that I didn't mind being unpopular. Essentially if I didn't care that they weren't getting matches I'd probably stop using them
if you don't like smother fights you won't like this roster

I only do hentai at my own discretion. Don't ask me for matches expecting one. I only do them for storylines or rivalries when I feel up to it.

Re: A question for the community: Roster Turnover
The thing is, the temptation to add yet more is still there. I did say that I wouldn't be using the Reference Checker again, but, the temptatation is always there. So, as an announcement of sorts, I'm rescending that statement. If I want to add more, I'll add more. (Even though the likely hood of that happening is > 1%, as laziness is quite the motivater to stay in one's lane)
