TLDR - I don't wanna read a long winner post
The Cliffnotes
• The tag is gone now. From now on, you can simply paste links from youtube, imgur, and a ton of other sites into your posts and they will render on LAW. Go ahead and try it out. For images/videos/other content that doesn't render automatically, try to use the new tag (it's the little computer sign button in the full editor). If you're having trouble with it, reach out to me.
• Due to increasingly limited availability on my end because of life circumstances, and @RJD's abdication of his mod position, I have been looking for a new moderator for some time. After much deliberation, I'm pleased to introduce you to your new LAW moderator, @ADarlingDucky. Please welcome her as you always have and help her become acclimated to modhood.
• A lot of people don't seem to be aware but we have a regularly scheduled yearly ppv event in January called "We Are LAW". It will likely take place closer to the end of this coming January. The inaugural Lightweight Champion will be determined at this ppv. This is our biggest event, and this ppv along with other official ppv events going forward will be split into an undercard and a main card (please see below for details)
• We've been very liberal with user-run events compounding with ppv's throughout this year. This coming year, I plan to be a little more conservative. After We Are LAW, I intend to hold off on these types of events for a few months and to start up the Tokyo Brawl idea from a while back, possibly incorporating the Lawless title into the event.
• As it stands, we have the middleweight, heavyweight, and loser championships in circulation. The inaugural hentai champ is being determined at the Laws of Love event. Please observe the poll attached to this thread and vote on whether or not you'd like to see a new championship established at We Are LAW 2018, or if you'd like to use that event to set up for future belts.
The More Detailed Version

• It's 2018 and no one wants to go through the hassle of doing [[image=][/image]] or [] or any of that nonsense. I removed the youtube tag but kept most of the others in case people want to map their images to be a certain letter. But from now on, if you're posting a link to an image or video from youtube, imgur, or certain other sites (if you want a full list, you can ask), it should automatically generate just fine with just the link. I haven't fully tested the feature, but as far as I'm aware it should work. There's also the new tag (it's the little computer sign button in the full editor), which I believe should render images and videos that aren't on the list of supported cites.
• Additional guidelines added to the site rules for title contenders The full explanation for these are at the bottom of the post but for future reference, I'm tired of people messaging me to express they feel they've done something to slight the community in part or in whole, and therefore think that they can or cannot get a championship match. I also had people message me with concerns over the ambiguity of what may or may not warrant disciplinary action when it comes to title contention.
We're going to take this opportunity to affirm that people are expected to finish their PPV matches. If you still have matches going from last year's PPV, please end it before We Are LAW 2018 if you would like to participate in the event. Even if you have to end it abruptly or in a way that you don't want to, please work on it. It will have been a year and people had time. Going forward, if you have an incomplete match from a year ago or if you are the source of large chunks of inactivity in official events, your participation in PPV events may be restricted if you cannot complete your ppv threads within a year. Further, since We Are LAW is our biggest event and many users both old and new are generally interested in events, it will be split into two segments: the undercard and the main card. They work similarly to cards in most fight sports and some wrestling events, where the main card features headliners and the undercard features matches from up and comers or lesser talent. Each user will be allowed to partake in up to two undercard matches and two main card matches. The main card will have more rules for participation than the undercard. Going forward, before you consider joining a ppv, please make efforts to ensure that you can reasonably finish the thread with the rp partner(s) that you'd like to have a match with.

Undercard: Generally more accessible. As long as you don't have ppv threads from a year ago still running, you can begin/post your match here.

Main Card: Reserved for Championship matches and high-profile matches/segments. Characters featured should have already debuted. You are strongly encouraged to begin working towards setting up the match/thread you'd like in advance so that your main card match or thread isn't a one-off thing. It should be the middle or end of an arc/story, not the beginning.

The same character cannot be featured on both the cards. It is not required that every champion defend their title. If you are not breaching the 3-month inactivity limit with a belt, you're allowed to abstain. Though you are encouraged to defend. The idea of characters working their way up out of the undercard by having their ppv debut there and moving up to the main card at a later event is encouraged.
• Within the past year or so, we've had several events. Laws of Love is the most current one going on right now. It is a hentai themed event where the inaugural hentai champion (and hopefully number one contender) will be determined. Aside from that, we've done several. Bloodsport, The Summer Submission Spectacular, The Last Woman's Standing Tourney, and the Rising Star Tourney, to name a few. These were all user-run events that we've held in the past year and change. While many of these events have been well received, many of them are still active and in-progress to this day. We'll be toning down the frequency. While Laws of Love is going on and We Are Law is coming up, we won't have any events going on. Months after We Are Law, we'll focus on the Tokyo Brawl that everyone seemed hyped about a while back. And we'll try not to have user events overlap.
• Lastly, as far as titles are concerned, I'd like to get an understanding on what people wanna focus on. Please observe the poll above and vote/reply appropriately.

I'm pretty much up for any belt besides world. If every other belt is out before it, then logically, there will have been a few past title holders/higher card contenders fitting for a world shot.

So far the most votes have gone to Tag and Lawless. Anyone have any ideas or teams they'd like to mention?
