Just throwing out there a quick idea that I've had for some time, and seeing if it picks up any interest on the forum.
What if LAW had their own "betting"/gambling service, where viewers could bet on the results of some upcoming matches that are to take place? Like, based on introducing the opponents, and the match type. I'm thinking there's a few ways to play it out in canon.
1. Set up a sub-forum, where players could post a match pairing that they're starting or about to start as a poll, and other members could then vote/guess on the result to their liking. These results could then be incorporated as part of the actual story of the match, regarding whose considered to be the favorite etc, or disregarded/ignored in the match story itself, whichever way would suit the players best.
2. Alternatively, if players would not like to include the interactive element of a poll, they could come up with some results from betting by themselves, just by referencing "LawBets" (or whatever it would get called) to establish the setup for the match as one fighter being a clear favorite, or crowds thinking it's going to be a very even one
Of course, there would be no requirement whatsoever to incorporate this element into any matches/storylines, it could just serve as a fun added element for anyone interested. Could also serve as some spicy fuel for Twitter feuds etc.
As an example, the poll threads in the sub-forum could be as simple as this:
"Who will claim the victory?
Isa - The Angel of Ice
Astra Nova - The Interstellar Heroine
(This could also be e.g. *To be revealed* if people would need to vote without knowing the specifics)
Option 1: Isa
Option 2: Astra Nova
Option 3: Draw
(Option 4: Some wildcard that fits the storyline?)"
(I guess people could also pit two of their own wrestlers against each other for betting purposes, but not sure how well that would serve some storylines instead of mainly curiosity.)
Anyway, curious to hear any thoughts on whether this kind of thing would be interesting or could work on the forum, or if there's some reasons why it would not be that good of an idea, or wouldn't really garner interest!
