LAW Headcanons/Worldbuilding Thread

Unread post by FreestylePoet »

Hey y'all! So @CaptainL and I had an idea to set up a thread where users can discuss their personal headcanons for the world of LAW. Things like "how does A work behind the scenes" or "what is B part of LAW called" or "what does LAW do for C situation." All of us have our own personal headcanons and interpretations, and there's not much in terms of a "word of God" canon for most things.

So this isn't to say that you have to use anything in this thread, but if someone takes inspiration from something in here... that'd be kinda neat. I just thought this might be a more open and permanent place than the Discord to discuss these things.

I'll start. Dunno where "LAW World" came from for the streaming service, and I have nothing but love for those who use that name. But... I don't like it :( I've been thinking about other names, and I feel like LAW on Demand rolls off the tongue pretty well, as does LAW Live. I also like LAW on Order as a pun to Law & Order. Haven't decided what I wanna do.

Glad to see this thread pop up! I've always thought it was a cool idea for a thread since I saw it proposed, and I'm happy to share a few of my own.
  • Just based on the layout of the site, I imagine LAW using blue and grey/white a lot for their color schemes. So I'm used to thinking of the ring as those colors, probably with the logo in the middle of the mat. @kerfine 's Fire Pro videos probably shaped this.
  • LAW being LAW, it seems reasonable enough that they'd have ring girls around (ie. the bikini girls by the ring you see in boxing and MMA holding up the round cards), and I've referenced them in a few of my threads. Since wrestling typically doesn't have rounds, they'd probably be holding up signs for the next match at the card, or taking entrance gear from the wrestlers who have made their entrances (Raw actually had ring girls for its first year who did this). As for who they are...maybe local models, maybe jobbers and/or Young Lionesses doing a side gig, maybe both?
  • On that same note, I imagine LAW publishes gravure photobooks of its talent like some joshi promotions do (could also involve some staged wrestling shots like how some wrestling fetish companies sell photosets). I've done some fun RPs taking place at photoshoots for these.
  • I imagine a lot of promos taking place in front of walls of sponsor logos with the press present, like how many Japanese promotions do it. Not to say there can't be some in-ring promos too though (and I've done promos that were definitely in-ring).
  • As to the topic of how a promotion like LAW can even exist...I just like to think that in the world of LAW, the concept of public indecency is a lot more lenient. Not enough for certain people to not find nudity embarrassing (ENF gang represent), but they wouldn't necessarily be arrested for it, even if it might be seen as weird.
  • Just because of how massive PPV cards have gotten, I find it easier to imagine most LAW PPVs, especially recent ones, taking place over two days. The undercard/main card structure is easy enough to fit into a two-day schedule.
  • I figure that LAW has a two-hour weekly TV show. Maybe a B-show as well. I figured out a while back that the number of threads in Womens' Ring would equal out to about eight matches a show on average if the show had been ongoing for the same length of time the site was, which fits nicely if we assume around 15 minutes for a typical match, give or take a few. However, that was a while ago and it's not accounting for promos or the Intergender Ring, which stands to reason that they might have gotten a B-show.
I will likely add to these as more ideas come up, so watch this space!

A good portion of the audience isn't male like one would assume, Most of the fanbase are actually lesbian females who film the matches for fap material XD

I'm thinking that LAW's normal shows on tour or something have like 2 portions each night. Like the first portion being the normal kind, where matches are held normally but there's always some suggestive shots here and there. And after the first portion is done, we get the Afterdark where the violence and sex meter rises up high. And then there's like twice the admission fee for it. And obviously Afterdark isn't for kids so audience have to be over the age of consent. Underages are banned from Afterdark.
I maybe Low Definition but my girls are... High Definition.

I know we discussed this on the Discord, but I actually headcanon it as the reverse. In Low's headcanon, LAW separates out the lewd and violent matches. But not all lewd or violent matches are "booked" to be lewd or violent. Both Alizeh vs. Courage and Satsuki vs. Claudia were Standard Matches. But Courage came at the end, and Satsuki/Claudia literally turned into a hardstyle hentai match halfway through.

You're probably thinking "okay, but why would they book Claudia or Courage to appear in front of families?" And the answer is that they wouldn't. It sounds to me like it'd be WAY easier from a liability standpoint for LAW to only book matches that they're 100% sure would never go lewd or violent for their first show. And every other match gets put in LAW After Dark, regardless of whether or not it actually ends up having adult content.

That's how I personally headcanon it anyway!

My head canon is the same as Low's, though I imagine After Dark would just be held on different nights instead of as a post show, as it'd be much easier to enforce the 18+ rule.
