History:
Spoiler
Karl Schneider was born in St. Pölten, Lower Austria, to a middleclass family.
From a young age Karl could identify more with is uncles who were avid wrestling fans, something his rather grounded and pragmatic father did'nt. When Karl grew older he excelled in classes, both in mind and body. He played football (soccer) in the schools team, participated at marathons and seemed to be all a parent could wish for but it seemed that his father never fully apreciated the hard work the young boy put in his studies and sports to finally gain his fathers respect and love.
As his father was rather cold and did'nt share any common hobby with Karl, the boy searched for other fatherfigures finding them in his fathers younger brothers who were avid wrestling enthusiasts who took him under their wings, knowing how their big brother could be. They awakened the fire for professional wrestling in the teen and from that day on, as he watched a professional show he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life!
His father of course would have none of it and demanded that Karl would give up this "juvenile hogwash" and get a "safe and respectful" job.
After many fights between the stubborn man and his passionate son, his uncles finally brought their older brother to a compromisse.
They would pay for Karls wrestling school and all he needed for it while Karl would promise to study. After this the young man decided to study journalism as writing articles for the school gazette was one of his favourite things to do.
He trained under the best trainers Austria had to offer and took some time off in his studies, much to the dismay of his father, to learn from the finest japanese trainers.
After coming back and finishing his studies with a master degree, his father died of a sudden heart attack, both men never able to clear their differences which traumatized Karl and to this day he refuses to talk about his father. He decided to give the wrestling main focus and started to move to America, wrestling in several Indie companies and soon he became a household name with his gimmick as "Sensenmann" aka "Grim Reaper" in english.
His gimmick found much success and his star was on the rise. Next to his rising wrestling carreer, he found private success too as he met his wife and had a little daughter soonafter.
Everything seemed to be perfect, the big companies were after him when the accident happened.
No one was sure if it really was unintentional or not but at ladder match vs a longterm rival of his both men stood on a ladder with Karls opponent booked too hit him but either he forgot, was nervous...or purposefully...the strike of his opponent was to hard, making Karl miss his spot and hes left leg shifting in between to steps of the ladder when his body went down, breaking his leg at the fall.
It was a complicated operation, as the knee was severely shattered, given into the hand of one of the finest surgeons money could offer, but at the day of the operation the surgeon, who was drug addict for the longest time, botched the operation, leaving the upcoming wrestler with a useless left leg and in constant pain.
When the doctors told him that he could never wrestle again in the ring the once proud and lively man became depressed, sarcastic and started to drink hard because of the constant pain his knee gave him.
Unable to deal with it anymore his wife left, taking Karls five year old daughter with him.
Broken, mentally, physically and with money, he retreated back to Austria living with his mother.
Help came to Karl through a friend of an european wrestling magazine who knew him for years and knew of Karls talent as journalist.
Given the fact that he knew the ropes, the guys, the whole system, the bosses were eager to get their hands on the former upstarting star.
Karl, without any options at hand took the chance and, given that he spoke japanese and english, was given the job of Japan correspondent.
Now Karl took his old VW Beetle and head of the far east and into the direction of LAW
