Apex Match: Eve Summers vs. Raquel Masters

Raquel was backstage bouncing from foot to foot in the hallway. She was wearing her white and light blue ring attire and feeling confident. She was wrestling Eve, a friend who was sometimes more than a friend but never more than a fling. Raquel didn't mind that... but she felt like Eve didn't want much attachment so she rolled with it even if at times she wanted to talk to Eve about that.

Also of note was Raquel was facing off against a woman who had never beaten her in the ring. Being smaller didn't matter to Raquel. She was going to beat Eve again and had every reason to be confident. Smiling to herself she kept jumping up and down in place as she waited for their match to begin. She was so excited that she was ready quite a bit ahead of time. She was going to win this and show everyone that Raquel Masters was champion material. She was a strong, small, fast striker who could slam women larger than her... just ask Jitsuko Jubo about that one. Raquel smiled and couldn't even contain her excitement at this point!

Her time in Apex Event had been a turbulent affair to say the least. Eve had been gifted with many chances, faced a lot of defeat. However, during her last few Apex matches, she had just about managed to pick up a few wins towards the end, building up a momentum despite her earlier failures. It was enough to slip her through into the final... but it did not fill Eve with all that much confidence, especially when she found out who her Finals match would be up against. Raquel Masters was a beauty of a woman she had faced off against in the past... and lost. Though the match had been close fought for the most part, Raquel proved to be the better wrestler of the too.

She had befriended Raquel afterwards at the very least, with the two going to parties and having playful sparring sessions together. The two had done a little more than that too, as Eve could not deny Raquel was a stunner of a woman. Knowing she would face her however made a pit of dread develop within her core. Tonight was the big night, plenty of Apex Finals running throughout several nights in sold out stadiums and televised for millions to watch. The event was massive, and no final had disappointed yet... Eve was never about winning titles, she had always been about entertaining crowds... so why was it that she suddenly felt so nervous?!

Clad in her alluring attire, Eve was a marvel to behold. Her long brown hair complimented her tanned complexion and skin. She wore a dazzling dancer’s like purple top that covered only her chest, leaving her midriff and arms exposed, whilst black and purple trousers covered her legs. She was barefoot as always, and doing a few warm ups as an Apex Match was drawing to a close beyond the curtains. That was when she saw her...

"Raquel.... it's been some time! I... well... I wish we were meeting under better circumstances. Are you all ready for our Apex Final match tonight?!" Eve would ask, noticeably nervous as she approached her good friend.

Raquel saw Eve coming and stood tall, although she was still much shorter. Raquel smiled and nodded to Eve as she approached but she doubted she was being as warm as Eve hoped she would be. "It has been a while. I know you've been busy, I see ya on TV doing all sorts of stuff for LAW and I saw your qualifiers. Good stuff." Raquel said with a pause. "I mean I called ya a couple times and I get that what we did were just flings but ya know... I guess I was hoping I was more than just some sort of sex buddy or something." Raquel added with a shrug.

She was silent for a while after that letting Eve respond. "I mean tonight I am going to go out there and beat you again. Plain and simple. I won't let any attachment get in my way. We also both know the better wrestler between us is me. I take the ring and wrestling seriously while that among other things are just a fling to women like you." Raquel said in a serious tone.

Eve's smile slowly began to drop at Raquel greeted her in a manner that she was not expecting. She could see there was something troubling her friend, as her tone was not as upbeat as usual, not was her expression and body language as warming as Eve's had been. It soon became apparent what was on Raquel's mind, as she began to speak it, making her thoughts known about their relationship... and how it seemed Raquel wanted more between the two of them rather than what they had.
"Raquel... I...I'm really sorry. If... if I hurt you that was never my intention. I just... I don't know what it is that I want, I thought..." Her words trailed off when Raquel would continue, her words firm and the look within her eyes becoming more focused.

Raquel made it clear she was going to defeat Eve Summers in this Apex Final, going as far as to claim she was the better wrestler between the two of them. Eve knew she was not wrong, the two had fought each other before, and despite Eve putting on a good fight, it was Raquel who ended up being the clear winner. Now she was facing her again, and no doubt Raquel had become even stronger in that time. Eve's own record had begun to improve, but it was not enough to even compare with the leaps and bounds Raquel had achieved. Discovering how Raquel felt about Eve also began to play upon her mind.

"Raquel..." Eve would try to reply, but she could find no words to speak right now. An attendant soon appeared, giving word that it was time for their match to begin. Whatever was going on would now have to wait until after the match, much to Eve's dismay as she looked to Raquel. Eve looked deflated all at once, that happy and perky persona being decimated in a moment.
"I... Well... Good luck tonight..." Eve would whisper, watching as Raquel would take her turn to enter to the ring to the sold out audience tonight.

Raquel looked at Eve and nodded, standing with her hands on her hips. She had a lot she wanted to say but couldn't find a good way to say it. "Right back at ya." Is all she said before she turned and walked away still shaking her head with her hands on her hips as she walked.

Raquel was announced to the ring first and when she came out she wasn't her usual self. The scowl was still there and she stomped her way down the ramp with a laser focus stare forward. The red headed lightweight made it to the ring, sliding in and making her way to her corner as she leaned back and looked up the ramp. She was here for business. She was here to win, and she was going to put Eve through the ringer doing whatever it would take to pull off a win here tonight.

She failed in her Lightweight Championship match, she wasn't about to fall short in what was basically a second title shot against a woman who treated her career as casually as she treated her relationship with Raquel.

Apex Finals Match:
Win by pinfall, submission or DQ

The crowd were already on their feet knowing a big match was about to be underway. They were already cheering when Raquel made her entrance, knowing that the Apex Final between her and Eve Summers would prove to be a fantastic match. Once Raquel's entrance was complete, it was time for her opponent to make her appearance.

The moment Eve Summers' entrance theme exploded onto the PA system, was the moment everything became official! Naturally the watching audience began to roar out in anticipation for the appearance of the world famous DJ turned wrestler. The announcer had already done his job at setting up her entrance as she had for Raquel's, and all that was left was for the woman herself to appear. Soon enough, the British beauty stepped out from behind the curtain, making her way down towards the ring with high energy. Her features were angelic as always, complimented by the beaming smile spread across her soft lips. She spread her arms outwards as she walked down the entrance ramp, before throwing them upwards in time for some fireworks to begin popping upwards from alongside the ramp in a marvel of colours. Soon enough Eve was tagging as many hands from reaching fans as she could as she made her way down to the ring with energy and gusto to the celebration of the watching audience.

Entering the ring mere moments later, her movement full of energy. She cleared the ropes in a single leap, showing off her impressive athleticism, before she bounced and strode her way into the middle of the ring, once more spreading her arms out to drink in all the energy of the cheering crowds. Eve made a few cheering like gestures, before she made her way to the nearest turnbuckle, scaling upwards with one swift leap... an action that only seemed to increase the volume of the watching audience when the beautiful wrestler and DJ threw her arms into the air. She could not wipe the smile off her face, feeling humbled by the reception.

Things did not seem to die down even when Eve slipped down back to the canvas. She made a few gestures towards the crowd in thanks for the reception pacing around the ring as she revelled in the energy coming from tonight's crowd! Soon enough she retreated to the far corner farthest away from the entrance ramp. The crowd had barely had a chance to calm down, still cheering for both fan favourites as Eve would turn to Raquel. There was a clear look of apprehension however by now as she knew Raquel was very serious.

"Let's make it a good match Raquel..." Was all Eve could say for now, a line Raquel was familiar with from the last time the two fought before Raquel won.

Raquel looked up at Eve as she came out, standing with her hands on her hips shifting her weight from leg to leg. She was glaring a hole through Eve as she came out and made her way to the ring. Raquel knew Eve would wrestle clean at least, even though Raquel was the woman in the ring who took wrestling as seriously as it should be taken. It wasn't just a fun pastime that would come and go to her. It wasn't just a fling the way Raquel seemed to be for Eve.

"I know we will be good for that at least." Raquel said with a nod. She knew she was going to win. She had to. She blew a lightweight title shot already, losing the Apex final match would be disastrous and give her the tag of a wrestler who could never win when it counted.

As the bell rang Raquel moved in and swung a couple mid-kicks at Eve before stepping in close to aim forearm smashes to her chest as well as some hard body blows to her abdomen with her fists! Raquel was trying to step in and overwhelm Eve at the opening bell to really take it to her!

The moment the bell rang was the moment Raquel sprung into action. Eve gasped out, as the lightweight came at her, moving with a speed and swiftness she was simply not ready for. Eve would pay the price for it, gasping out as Raquel came at her, throwing some hard kicks towards her middle. Eve was able to block the first few, but it put her on the backfoot, losing ground and edging her closer towards the corner. Not only that, the sudden change in strikes would catch her unawares, as a quick forearm smash clashed against her chest.

Eve groaned in pain, feeling the strike land hard and drive the air from her chest. She stumbled back, trying to defend herself, opening up her bare stomach to a few hard strikes that began to clash into her abs. Raquel was relentless, starting the match strong, looking to overwhelm Eve with good success so far. Knowing she could not let Raquel run away with this, Eve tried to fight back, realising that defending herself was not working.

Despite opening herself up, she tried to stop the momentum of Raquel, looking to land a hard kick of her own towards Raquels stomach as she advanced upon her! If she managed to connect with it, it would be Eve's intent to try and follow up with a high momentum DDT!

Raquel did not expect Eve to fight back aggressively, she thought she would wilt under the pressure. Instead Raquel took a hard hit to her own abdomen doubling over and groaning. Things only got worse as Raquel had her head spiked hard to the mat with a DDT! Raquel crashed to the mat, crumpling in a heap and rolling to her side, groaning as she kicked the mat while her arms cradled her head! Eve had seized the initiative and control from Raquel whose strike rush didn't quite accomplish what she had hoped it would.

Eve took a deep breath, able to land a vicious DDT on Raquel despite the initial onslaught she had to endure from her. To be certain she was certainly hurt after taking such a combo of hits, but luckily she was able to dig deep and counter before things turned too sour. Grasping Raquel, the Middleweight wrestler looked to put her weight advantage to use, grasping the lightweight in a powerful grip before she scooped her upwards!

Altering her and turning her, Eve would land a powerful scoop slam against Raquel, looking to plant her right into the middle of the ring with heavy impact. It was then the British DJ turned wrestler would rush towards the ropes, flipping and rebounding in a deft display of skill, before she tried to land a standing moonsault upon the downed Raquel if she had not recovered in time!
