Personality
Claire is bubble of energy and a social butterfly. So much so that she can sometimes come across as overbearing especially to more introverted people. However, she generally means well and tries hard to be friendly toward those she meets. Despite her looks, Claire is a classic nerd loving anime, gaming, and just electronic media in general. She almost always has a reference to some media source ready to drop at the worst possible time.
However, despite her mostly friendly demeanor Claire can have a quick temper and turn cold given the right trigger. She has a bit of a disdain for those that claim the moniker of "jobber" in the wrestling world. She views it almost as an attack against the wrestlers she'd come to admire that give their best every night. Although a face regularly, jobbers have a tendency to bring out her darker side.
Backstory
Claire is a pure blood Florida girl! Born to a successful business tycoon father and an olympic athlete mother, Claire had what could be called a comfy upbringing. Together with her twin sister their lives were shrouded in the good life that money and influence bring. However, that isn't to say her parents allowed Claire to become complacent with her position in life. Quite the contrary. Claire's parents were adamant that whatever their daughters wanted in life they would need to achieve it through hard work. Given her parents had not come from money, everything they had attained in life was through their own blood, sweat, and tears. The couple expected the same of their daughters pushing the duo to find something they were passionate about and pursue it.
From the beginning the two were nearly inseparable leading them to find interest in many of the same activities. Given their mother's olympic history, they took an early interest in athletics. For Claire any sport was worth doing and at a certain point over doing. Through her school years, there wasn't a day that went by where Claire wasn't doing something for that season's sports team. Claire loved competing! She found it intoxicating to be pitted against another team or individual and doing everything possible to be declared the victor.
However, the true passion was found in volleyball and specifically beach volleyball. Claire's mother had won four gold medals in beach volleyball almost making it a guarantee at least one of the sisters would find their way into it. Claire's mother never would've expected both of her daughters would find a burning passion for the same sport. Living in Florida their was no shortage of beaches on which to practice and compete in the sport forging the perfect environment. Claire wanted nothing more than to compete in the Olympics and win gold like her mother, and her mother was all to happy to coach Claire and her sister to that goal.
The two sisters became a force to be reckoned with winning tournament after tournament. Into their college years at Florida State, they would win titles in their last two years. In their senior year however they were pushed to the brink by their rivals from the University of Miami. Going to a final set they were able to finish off their rivals thanks to Claire's sister. Of the two she had always been the clear star. Claire was certainly an excellent player, but she was missing that finesse that would take her higher.
Practicing to make the olympic team was the goal once college concluded, but as the pair began to compete against pairs with the same goal it became clear. Claire was holding her sister back. Their consistent wins began to fall off and usually due to Claire's mistakes or her lack of height. She had managed to go through college being a little shorter for volleyball. However, these new teams were another level with more skill and more height.
Stepping away for a brief time to allow her sister to compete with another star player the wins began to recover. It soon became a forgone conclusion in most matches who would take the win. As much as it hurt to step away from the sport she loved so much Claire realized she wasn't going to be able to compete at the level necessary to stand with her sister. With a heavy heart she stepped way entirely from the sport resigning herself to cheer her sister on from the stands.
Leaving her passion behind it became apparent to Claire's father that she had lost that spark and bubbly nature. In an attempt to give her mind a break he would book a trip to Japan just for the two of them. Claire was always a huge anime fan and was fascinated by Japanese culture. Naturally she was thrilled at the opportunity. It was while in Tokyo that Claire came across and advertisement for LAW that was hosting a show in Tokyo. Convincing her father that the pair should attend Claire got her first splash of wrestling.
Everything about the spectacle drew Claire in. The lights, the fighters, and the athletic ability especially were spectacular! Seeing the spark that had been missing in his daughters eyes since she left volleyball, Claire's father took a rare action and flexed some of his wealth and influence. Speaking with some of the promoters after the show he managed to get Claire in contact with some of the LAW staff. Although Claire had not wrestled before, she was a natural athlete, quick learner, and had a one track mind when a something drew her in. Claire knew she wanted to pursue it and not just wrestling. She wanted to pursue what she had just witnessed.
Going back to the states, Claire immediately set out finding a coach in the Tampa area to begin teaching her the art of wrestling. However, within six months she had received a message that LAW was holding some open tryouts. Claire was quick to jump at the opportunity. Flying to Japan she gave her all in the tryout catching the eye of several who saw her athletic potential and offered her a chance and signed her to the promotion. A new passion and a new future lay ahead.
