While Miria is somewhat shy, she is eager to step outside of her comfort zone and try new things. Additionally, despite not being very aggressive or assertive, Miria can be quite courageous, allowing Miria to suppress her timidness. Moreover, she can sometimes be very emotional, often bursting into tears when she is sad or embarrassed. However, Miria is extremely resilient and will not let this sort of stuff keep her down for long. Overall, Miria is an extremely kind and polite person who craves excitement.
Past/History
Miria does not know who her birth parents are and she was adopted by a young Japanese-American couple shortly after being born. Her childhood was relatively normal, although Miria was somewhat sheltered by her slightly overprotective adoptive parents. While Miria and her adoptive father got along well, Miria was especially close to her adoptive mother. Moreover, Miria was quite friendly and outgoing while she was in grade school, making many friends, some of whom she is still in contact with to this day.
Unfortunately, Miria's adoptive mother had a rare genetic disorder that both caused her to become infertile and caused her to eventually become extremely ill. The illness became noticeable when Miria was nine and gradually grew worse. Eventually, after a hard fought battle, Miria's mother unexpectedly slipped into a coma when Miria was thirteen. Four days later, Miria's mother passed away in the intensive-care unit at the local hospital; Miria did not have a chance to say goodbye.
Soon after Miria's mother passed away, Miria's adoptive father had to move to a different city for work and he took Miria with him. Upon starting high school in the new city, Miria was no longer the outgoing girl she used to be. Instead, Miria mostly kept to herself and focusing on her studies. Additionally, Miria would become an avid reader during high school.
During Miria's junior year of high school, her adoptive father lost his job due to being laid off. To support Miria, Miria's adoptive father got a local job that was low-paying. Moreover, Miria got a part-time job to help support the family.
Eventually, Miria graduated from high school and was near the top of her class. Her standardized test scores (in all subjects) were extremely impressive. In spite of Miria's lack of extracurriculars, her outstanding academic record and stellar personal statement got her accepted into numerous Ivy League schools. Ultimately, Miria decided to attend Princeton University to study literature.
During the summer before college, however, Miria became extremely depressed. While previous summers were occupied with summer classes, Miria had nothing to do that summer: she had no friends in high school and her friends from grade school were all in a different city. This depression lasted all summer and only got worse. Due to this depression, Miria decided to hold off on attending college.
One month after Miria would have started college, she was still very depressed. However, this changed when Miria's adoptive father suggested that Miria travel the world. Because Miria had expressed numerous times that she wished that she had not been so sheltered, Miria's adoptive father figured that traveling the world might help her break out of her depression.
Thus, Miria began to travel the world. Miria's depression quickly faded as she traveled throughout Europe. After touring Europe, Miria then began to tour Asia, visiting China, Korea, and finally Japan. While in Japan, Miria saw an advertisement poster for LAW. Miria initially paid very attention to the poster---that is, until something caught her eye. LAW offered tuition assistance for its wrestlers, should they choose to pursue higher education.
Longing for adventure and wanting to experience the world, Miria decided to sign up for LAW. She figured that LAW would enable her to experience new things and meet interesting people. Moreover, the tuition assistance was extremely generous. Therefore, Miria decided to join LAW. While Miria's adoptive father was unnerved by the idea of Miria becoming a wrestler and possibly participating in the so-called "hentai matches", Miria's adoptive father ultimately decided to allow Miria to find her own way.
Shortly thereafter, Miria applied to both LAW and Waseda University, getting accepted into both. Now, Miria studies English literature at Waseda in addition to being part of LAW part-time.
