History: Naomi is the only daughter of the wealthy and influential Nakatani family. Her family held noble rank before the abolition of the Japanese nobility under the post-war 1947 constitution, but they still had close ties to the industry and held onto their wealth. As such, she was raised having whatever she wanted and enjoying her parents’ undivided attention, and this got to her head. Despite her small and unimposing stature, she demanded respect from everyone around her - and had little tolerance for anyone who wouldn’t obey her.
A rich girl like her could’ve attended an exclusive private school, but her parents were significant donors to the local public school system, and Naomi was enrolled there accordingly. If anything, though, this only emboldened her further - if she was surrounded by peasants, then she was going to make sure they treated her with the deference she was owed. She had no qualms about bossing people around, and always insisted that she got her way. Because she was so wealthy and her family so influential, no one could really do much about it.
In particular, because her family had more or less financed the school’s gym by themselves, Naomi had a natural in to sports, qualifying for several clubs she might otherwise not have. This put her at odds with Mai Shinoda, the top athlete in her class. Unlike everyone else, Mai was willing to stand up to Naomi - she was even bold enough to talk down to her for her stature, something that no one else would ever dare to think of. The two competed on many an occasion, whether in gym class or outside of it, with Mai determined to bring Naomi down to size and Naomi wanting Mai to know her place.
When both girls ended up on the school keijo team, however, that threw a bit of a spanner in the works. Now, they were expected to work together, rather than as rivals. This was difficult for Naomi to accept at first, but in time, it turned out that their feud was compromising their performance - and in the end, Mai decided to make peace with her rival, as winning meant more to her than their petty feuds. Conversely, Naomi found that, although Mai was a gifted athlete, she wasn’t particularly smart, and she needed someone to whip her into shape - although Mai was nominally the team captain, Naomi was the one who was coming up with most of the strategies and giving orders. Together with Mai’s friend Saya Matou, the two quickly established themselves as a capable team - and in time, their respect for one another began to grow, too.
When Mai decided that she wanted to go on to compete as a professional wrestler in LAW, Naomi thought it was just another one of her hair-brained schemes. But despite it all…she had warmed up a little bit to her, and she also realized that she was one of the only things keeping the team out of trouble. The team simply wouldn’t be complete without her, and she decided she would accompany Mai and Saya to the world of wrestling…for better or worse.
Personality: Naomi is a classical tsundere. She’s a short-tempered loudmouth who isn’t afraid to speak her mind, even when that means berating people - and she finds herself berating people often, considering she’s used to thinking of herself as superior to everyone around her. She has little patience for what she considers foolish behavior, and often finds herself embarrassed by the antics of her teammates. She also feels like she’s entitled to peoples’ respect, and takes it personally if others don’t let her have her way. However, those who can get close to her will find that she does have a deep sense of respect for her friends, even if she doesn’t like to show it often. Naomi often finds herself playing the role of straight woman to Mai and Saya, tempering their more erratic hijinks and bringing them back into line - as much as she can manage, anyway.
Trivia:
- Thinks mint chocolate chip is the superior flavor of ice cream. She will not allow for dissent.
- Her height is a bit of a sensitive subject for her. Contrary to popular belief, though, she actually doesn’t feel jealous of other girls’ breasts because she thinks they look like stupid bimbos anyway. That doesn’t mean she won’t get angry if teased about her chest, though.
- The easiest way to make Naomi angry is to call her either a “gremlin” or a “nepo baby.” Regardless of how accurate any of these things might be.
- She has an extensive collection of manga, but refuses to acknowledge it because she feels like it makes her look like a nerd.

Fighting Style: Despite her athletic experience, it’s an open secret that Naomi only got as far as she did thanks to her family’s connections. She isn’t the strongest or the toughest, though she is quick on her feet. Where she does do best is as a strategist, calling out advice to her teammates and guiding them on what to do - because they often leap before they look, Naomi finds herself having to give them guidance in order for the team to function effectively, often to her chagrin. When she is in the ring, she tends to favor strikes and evasion, using her smaller size to get around her opponents quickly. Although she would never admit to it, she’s also not afraid to fight dirty, and is quick to go for poking eyes and pulling hair if she needs to even the odds - or if she just gets angry enough, which is often.
Favored Match Types: Naomi has experience in several sports and can apply this background to her LAW career, though she does find the thought of lewder matches embarrassing, and thinks that hardcore matches are for stupid meatheads who don’t care about brain damage. However, she tends to hold grudges, which might make her reconsider this against the right opponent. If possible she prefers to be with her teammates, either as a partner or a manager, to keep them under control, but she isn’t opposed to competing on her own either.

- Mai Shinoda is Naomi’s former rival, and now a friend and teammate of hers. While she still has lingering frustrations in dealing with her, especially given she can be unpredictable and prone to making ill-informed decisions, Naomi can’t help but admire her drive and commitment for success.
- Saya Matou is Naomi’s other teammate. Much like Mai, Naomi considers her a bit of an airhead (not without reason) and often finds herself having to shoot down some of her less wise ideas, but she can’t deny that she’s brought their team to victory more than once, and she’s earned her respect even if Naomi doesn’t always show it.
