At the most restricted, the bloodiest, and the coldest edge of San Francisco's Best Coast Ladies' Wrestling, Severa Pavlovna made her name as a dominatrix. In private or public, Through sex or by wrestling, Severa sought only to kneel, dominant, on enemies and allies alike.
Until, that is, her enthusiasm began to wane. The glow that followed her from match to match dimmed from floodlight to candle. She became stoic. Quiet. And then, abruptly and without explanation, she retired. More than retired, she liquidated her savings, sold or disposed of most of her belongings, and retreated into the coniferous forests of the Rocky Mountains. The erstwhile Dastardly Dominatrix pursued a life of ascetic, lonely spiritual retreat.
And there she would remain for two years, out of the public eye, until she made her comeback—not to the world of wrestling but of bondage, dominance, and sadomasochism. She returned from the mountaintop in search not of victory but in search of a partner.
She found one in Phoenix Vandrake, a mathematician deeply dissatisfied with her work in corporate America. Phoenix sought bondage and submission as a release from her responsibilities—a distraction, perhaps, or a release valve. What Phoenix would find instead was a gospel. The gospel of Severa required submission of the highest order and sacrifice without limit. It claimed that at the bottom of emptiness and loss, there would be an encounter with God, and beneath that—the person Phoenix had always been meant to be.
Severa has collared Phoenix to herself physically and metaphysically, spent another three years training her new submissive, and now the two have come to LAW in search of others ready to receive their credo...and to punish those less worthy of faith.

Strengths: Severa brings three main advantages to the ring: A career’s worth of experience, a monk’s dedication to refining her technique, and a religious zealot’s dedication to victory. With her extensive technical and psychological arsenal, Severa has the tools to keep her opponent’s tripping and guessing until her needle finds an appropriate painpoint. Should she ever herself fall prey to an attack, her devotion to a God found through suffering will buoy her resistance to levels of martyrdom.
Weaknesses: The golden days of the Dominatrix are some five years in her past; her body has begun its decline. She can no longer hit as hard, nor move as quick as her younger self. Although her will is founded on deep roots, fatigue strikes the body as much as a physical fact as a state of mind. If Severa’s considerable strengths do not put her in a quick dominant position, she will tend to loser her edge faster than her opponent.
Physical / Mental Endurance:★★★☆☆ / ★★★★★ – The spirit is strong but the flesh is weak.
Strength: ★★★★☆ – Severa trains religiously to maintain her strength — and mostly succeeds in spite of her age
Speed: ★★☆☆☆ – Significant strength training combined with the wear and tear of her career has left Severa less agile than many wrestlers.
Defense: ★★★★☆ – Extensive experience and training has yielded extensive intuition on undermining threats.
Technique:★★★★☆ – Like a monk, she builds her array of techniques as a collection of ornate tools, prized as much for their beauty and what they express as for their utility.
Wrestling Statistics
Strikes:★★★★☆ – Many martial traditions have sprung up from communities dedicated to contemplative life, and all of them developed techniques for striking—for striking is a direct expression of the body exerting force, of will and spirit pressed to a single point. Severa sees this kind of practice as a favored skillset.
Submissions / Grappling: ★★★★★ – The one constant across the bloodied and bruised arc of this apostle’s life has been a respect for dominance and how power might be expressed. From the
Powerhouse:★★☆☆☆ – Although Severa works to maintain her strength, there are certain disadvantages that are her cross to bear: Her height is average, her weight is low, and her joints are (by athletes’ standards) old.
Aerial:★☆☆☆☆ – God has given Severa a small body, and time has aged it; to use it as a projectile would be foolish.
Counters:★★★★☆ – Her life’s worth of combat and training has shown her how to turn many an assault back on its generals.
Strategy: The goal of every match is to strip the opponent of something superficial, to push them one step closer to nakedly confronting God and the Self. To this end, she bounces between two prongs, mystify and exploit, until she can move onto the final phase: degrade. Mystification draws on her wide range of techniques—she slips from one style to another, from boxing to kicking, from kicking to sweeping, all while she seeks out weaknesses and pushes her opponent off-guard. Once she finds a weakness, she moves into exploit. Where once she drunkenly bobbed and weaved in search of a pattern, now she focuses everything on what will break the weakness as quickly and decisively as possible. And thus she finally comes to degradation. In spite of what the name suggests, the goal of this phase is not simply to humiliate her opponent; instead, she seeks to take a strength and make it weak—to take something her opponent held with pride and make them ashamed. Stripped of something to which they could once cling, they will be one step closer to encountering the divine at the bottom of an empty well.
Preferred Matches: Hentai, Submission, Hardcore/Deathmatch, Standard
Signature Match: Trial of Faith
Still working out the details here! Concept is that Severa will offer this kind of match to those whose faith she really wants to test. Very likely will involve making sacrifices, enduring submissions.
