Backstory: A mother used to live happily with her fun-loving, carefree husband in a nice, suburban neighborhood. Sadly, tragedy struck one day, as the man was killed in a car accident. However, it wasn't just any car accident. The husband was a race car driver, and he had gotten carried away on the racing track. He had driven super high speeds, far beyond what was considered safe, even for the most daring drivers of this sport. As a result, the racer had completely loss control of his vehicle, during his most ambitious race yet. The man actually won first place. But after speeding right past the finish line, he couldn't stop the car from zooming off course and straight into one of the concrete walls surrounding the event. In a fiery explosion, the daredevil's life ended instantaneously.

Naturally, his wife was devastated by the news. During this time, she was pregnant with their first, and now forever, only daughter. Now a widow, she would have to raise their baby girl as a single mother. Though she had loved her husband, the grieving wife had always considered him too rash and reckless. However, she avoided nagging to her lover too much about this, as the man was very happy preforming his daredevil, racing antics. Blaming her passive nature for her husband's death, she vowed to be incredibly active in making sure nothing ever happened to her precious daughter. And soon, said daughter was born. The child was named, Arachne Widow Spyder.

Raising the child alone came with many challenges. Though they were covered regarding finances, both due to the money Mr. Spyder had saved up before his passing and due to the mother's new career path. She was in medical school long before the death of her husband, and soon became a full on doctor! Dr. Spyder was paid very well, and could support herself and her daughter more than adequately. But even though bills were comfortably paid, there were still more concerning aspects of the widow's parenthood.

Influenced by the lingering pain of her husband death, Dr. Spyder was an overprotective and overbearing mother to Aranche. When not busy at work, she watched her daughter all the time. This was initially fine, until the baby girl gradually began to grow older and needed more space. Since her mother was a doctor, Arachne was constantly receiving unnecessary "check ups" from her mama, who feared Aranche catching any illness, or suffering any injury. Even things as minor as common colds or paper cuts sent Aranche's mother into a craze, as she as worried about follow-up infections and all kinds of worst case scenarios.

However, much to Dr. Spyder's dismay, her well meaning yet domineering nature had an unintended effect on Arachne. Rather than the girl learning to be cautious and obedient, Arachne became careless and defiant. The girl was also sneaky, finding ways to get around her mom's rules and regulations. She was the type of kid who would hide a gaming system under her pillow, when her mom passed by her room, only to pull it out again and play it late at night. Arachne coped with her mother's strict presence, by cutting up anytime they were apart. In particular, the girl constantly got in trouble at school. Whether it was running around the hallways, starting food fights in the cafeteria, or messing with teachers and staff members, Arachne always found a way to get sent to the principle's office. As a result of her constant, troublemaking behaviors, Dr. Spyder's relationship with her daughter started to become very strained.

Despite never being able to meet her deceased father in person, Arachne clearly took more after him than her mother. Like him, she was more carefree and tended not to think too hard about the potential consequences of her actions. Arachne admired her late father, as her mother constantly told stories of his daredevil antics. This was done with the intention of warning her daughter of Mr. Spyder's carelessness, but Arachne was more so focused on his fun, chaotic nature. The girl felt closer to her late male parent in this regard, while her relationship with her female one remained at odds.

Looking to finally patch up her relationship with her daughter, Dr. Spyder finally attempted to loosen up to a small degree and give Arachne something she had always wanted, a pet. The girl was overjoyed and immediately asked for a dog or a cat. Her mother said no. Dr. Spyder was thinking a goldfish, to which Arachne refused. If her pet had to be smaller, she needed something more...out there. Arachne, being the crazy girl she was, suggested having the most venomous scorpion in the world, a Deathstalker. After face palming, Dr. Spyder decided to meet her daughter half way. She came home with an arachnid of non lethal venom and the biggest of it's kind. It was a Goliath birdeater tarantula, the largest spider in the world, with a leg span of one foot in length!

While she wanted a scorpion initially, Arachne grew to love her tarantula and was actually very grateful to her mother. She enjoyed feeding it crickets as well as watching it do its own hunting, when Arachne took her birdeater outside to eat...birds. The girl began to become fascinated, not just with her tarantula, but with spiders in general. Pretty soon she was adding to her collection of creepy crawlers, by bringing in and making pets out of all kinds of spiders, that she found outside. Though reluctantly, her mother did allow it, as long as Arachne kept her spiders mostly confined to her room. The girl agreed and was mostly responsible with her pets, at least while they were inside the house...

But Arachne continued her trouble making at school, by incorporating her eight legged pals into her mischief. She used her spiders to surprise and scare staff members, teachers, and other students. Her mischief making tendencies earned her the comedic title of a villainess, by fiendish friends and fed up foes alike. The girl embraced her newfound persona, as she was always a big fan of supervillain TV shows, movies, anime, and comics. One particular day, she was reading a supervillain comic book, putting her feet on her desk, and allowing one of her many tarantulas to roam freely around the classroom. Tired of Arachne's insolence and without warning, her teacher suddenly stomped on and killed the big spider. This earned a mixture of cheers and jeers from the students, as some found the bug disgusting, while others thought it was cool. Arachne of course, to put it lightly, didn't appreciate a slaughter of one of her pets. Mrs. Crabby (the teacher) then announced she'd be heading to the teacher's lounge for a bit, which allowed Arachne to form a revenge plot in response.

On the guise of "going to the restroom", Arachne instead snuck into the teacher's lounge first, and placed a Black Widow spider on the desk, before sneaking out again. The plan was for the sight of the well-known, very venomous spider to simply scare Mrs. Crabby. Unfortunately, the bug also ended up biting her. But the teacher was quickly saved, on the count of receiving quick medical treatment. Arachne wasn't planning on hospitalizing anyone, but much to the girl's relief, Mrs. Crabby was fine the next day. There were no witnesses, Arachne had covered up the cameras, and later retrieved her spider. So no one could undeniably prove she was behind this incident, however everyone had a gut feeling it was Arachne. To the disappointment of Mrs. Crabby, Arachne could not be expelled on "gut feelings". The girl of course denied any wrong doing, and she continued causing less dangerous, but still mischievous problems throughout the school.

After numerous complaints signaling her daughter's behavior was getting out of hand, Dr. Spyder demanded Arachne find a better outlet for her rambunctious, chaotic, unrestrained nature. And after some protests, Arachne gave in and decided to create an outlet for herself, by trying out different clubs at her school. But nothing tackled her unchecked, vexatious energy, and the naughty girl continued her constant trips to the principle's office. On one of these trips, the principle called Arachne in with a plan on how to quell her behavior. He suggested the little scoundrel sign up for the school's wrestling club next, hyping wrestling up as an incredible sport! His true motivate was to put the Arachne in a violent, energy-draining environment, full of many students who would want to kick the annoying twerp's butt. But intrigued, Arachne signed up.

The principle's plan had...mixed results. The rough nature of wrestling was indeed and excellent outlet for Arachne's undying, troublesome energy. And Arachne got in trouble a lot less.......outside her wrestling club. Inside the club, she did not learn any discipline, and she didn't get her butt kicked very much. Rather, she caused a bunch of trouble inside the ring, and ended up kicking the butts of most of her adversaries. Arachne frequency, though comically disregarded rules, regulations, and restraints. She particularly loved submission holds, which she used to a sadistic degree of efficiency. Ultimately, with a combination and crazy antics and raw skill, Arachne was known the top wrestler throughout her middle and high school!

During most of this time, Arachne had opted not to tell her worry-wart mother about her involvement in wrestling. But after reaching top ranks among girls at her school, she finally decided it was time. After fainting at first, Dr. Spyder took in the fact that her daughter had done so well while remaining safe and sound. Arachne then told her mother she wanted to be a "professional" wrestler, as her career choice. Seeing how excited her daughter was with the sport, Dr. Spyder gave her blessing, their relationship being fully mended! The doctor attended the rest of Arachne's school wrestler events, before her daughter graduated high school. Afterwards, Arachne became a young adult. With the heaven-viewed approval of Mr. Spyder as well, the daughter of a doctor and daredevil found a wrestling industry. Taking inspiration from her pet spiders and her own nefarious reputation, Arachne joined LAW as the Villainess of the Spiderweb!

Personality: True to her villainous nature, Arachne is naughty, devious, mouthy, deceitful, sneaky, provocative, troublesome, impudent and terribly mischievous. She's also extremely fun-loving and often values having fun above everything else, including the feelings of those she isn't close to. Arachne is a huge trouble-maker who loves making mischief, stirring up strife, and creating drama to entertain herself, and often at the expense of other people. She's also very prankish, though her idea of a prank ranges from relatively harmless to annoyingly criminal. Her favorite way to mess with someone, is to take something of theirs without their consent (steal), in order to amuse herself with her victim's frustration. Arachne's willingness to have fun at the expense of others is what solidifies her as an antagonist.

That being said, Arachne is not all bad. Though she's reluctant to admit it, the spider girl has quite a few redeeming qualities. Despite having a sadistic side, Arachne isn't excessively violent. She takes pleasure out of hearing folks scream in her submission holds. But generally releases opponents the moment they tap out, as she does not have an inherent desire to subject opponents to cruel violence. In fact, she would never attempt to leave an innocent opponent with any very serious injuries. She is liable to show more sadism with smothering, but only because smothers have a less brutal nature. While Arachne is prone to mess with people in numerous ways, she doesn't exhibit the sheer barbarity many other heels are know for.

While it doesn't mean at all that someone can mess with Arachne or her friends without consequence, the lightweight is usually hard to successfully provoke to anger. Despite her mostly childish attitude, she's thick-skinned and has the patience of a spider. Arachne is used to provocations, hence it's rare for her to get truly offended by them, typically just responding in a comedic matter. This is because, ultimately, she's a complete goofball. She's ludicrous, over-dramatic, over the top, and just extremely silly. Arachne's enjoys taunting and aggravating her opponents, but she likes it even more if they play along with her ridiculousness. Although she remains a genuine threat as a wrestler and troublemaker, Arachne's silly disposition makes her come off as more of a comedic villain.

But while the spider girl may not be irredeemably evil, she is absolutely chaotic. Arachne does whatever she wants, whenever she wants. Anyone with legitimate, self-proclaimed, or conceptual authority will be openly defied by her, including management, referees, champions, and authority-themed wrestlers. Both inside and outside the ring, Ms. Spyder finds rules incredibly trivial and is prone to disregard them at will. On a positive note, Arachne shows more consideration towards opinions of people she manages to befriend. And her better traits make her capable of forming unlikely friendships, such as her relationship with a certain, more righteous bee girl. All in all, Arachne isn't rotten at her core, but she remains an agent of chaos, havoc, and mischief.

Wrestling Style: First and foremost, Arachne is a submission specialist. She excels at tying and bending her opponents in all sorts of excruciating painful ways, similar to how spiders bind their prey in webs. She has a very wide knowledge on submission holds, having something in mind for everyone, regardless of potential differences in weight class.

Also true to her spider gimmick, Arachne is an excellent climber. She has superb rope mobility, able to climb on and all through the ring ropes with ease. She also has incredible balance, being able to easily walk, run, or crawl on the top ropes and turnbuckles. From these high-positions, she is capable of performing aerial moves, which she uses with grace and precision. Arachne is also skilled at climbing atop larger foes, taking advantage of her lightweight status. When latching onto adversaries, she can compromise them in numerous ways, being particularly prone to preforming sleeperholds in this position.

At times, the spider girl can be a mischievous cheat, disobeying rules, regulations, and restrictions of the ring. However, because she isn't the most violent heel, her more underhanded tactics aren't particularly brutal. Arachne refrains from using typical weapons or illegal blows, such as crotch shots. Her unique style of cheating makes use of the backpack she always carries around. In her Thorax Backpack, Arachne keeps a numerous amount of silly and mischievous items to create chaos in the ring, when she sees fit. This includes but is not limited to: banana peels, marbles, smoke bombs, water balloons, a loudspeaker, and a tickle feather. Rather than significantly harm, these items are simply meant to annoy, trip up, distract, and/or surprise her adversaries, which provides openings for herself. However, Arachne isn't dependent on cheating. When she does so, it's mostly just for fun, purely seeing it as a compliment to the wrestling talent she already possesses. In Arachne's matches, she ensures any shenanigans she may preform do not overshadow her combat skills.

Arachne has a modest chest but a very thick, plump, toned yet soft butt, and she's liable to use the latter to sadistically smother weakened opponents at her leisure. She will also use strikes when convenient, and power moves when capable. But all in all, submission holds remain Arachne's bread and butter, since verbal submissions and tap outs are her favorite ways to end a match!

Special Moves:
Spinneret Butt - An Inverted Headscissors Stinkface. Arachne may also repeatedly slam her foe's face into her thick butt, to prevent them from resisting the follow-up smother.

Stats
Power: 6/10 - For a lightweight, Arachne is pretty strong. She can use power moves on fellow lightweights with ease and on lighter middleweights without too much trouble. But her strength most shines during her submission holds, were she tends to maintain quite a strong grip on her opponent's bodies.
Speed: 10/10 - Arachne is incredibly fast and agile. She can turn on a dime, and can run circles around slower foes. And due to her climbing abilities, she's almost as fast on the ropes as on the mat.
Stamina: 9/10 - Arachne is full relentless, child-like energy. She can also take a lot of punishment for a lightweight, making it pretty difficult to wear her down.
Technique: 10/10 - As a submission master, Arachne is an incredibly technical wrestler, binding her adversaries in a vast number of skillful ways.
Intelligence: 8/10 - Despite her silly personality, Arachne is deceptively intelligent, crafty and cunning when she needs to be. She's particularly fond of coming up with evil, genius plans against her enemies.
Defense: 5/10 - Arachne sometimes struggles with guarding against moves, given her lightweight frame. In order to make up for this, Ms. Spyder is pretty skilled at countering and reversing moves instead.

Trivia
- Arachne has three funny vocal habits. She often refers to herself in the third person, is prone to evil, maniacal cackling, and she also has a tendency to sometimes rhyme her words.

-Her rhyming comes from the fact that she's an excellent and catchy singer. She enjoys making parodies of popular villain songs, typically showcasing them in her wrestling promos. Arachne sometimes makes villain songs from scratch as well.

- Along with her villainess inspirations, Arachne is specifically based on the black widow spider, hence the red hourglass on her belly. Though despite being based on this particular spider, she most known for tarantulas, the Goliath birdeater being her first, and most prized pet.

- Arachne's attire makes her have "eight legs" in total, but also "eight eyes", as many spiders actually have this many eyes.

- Ms. Spyder's catchphrase is: "Well, well, well..." which is sometimes followed by: "What have we here?!"

- Her least favorite word is "consequences", especially if those "consequences" are "for her actions".

- Arachne's first name comes from the Greek myth of "Athena and Arachne", in which the goddess turns the girl into the first spider.

- Though Arachne incorporates her Thorax Backpack into spots here and there, she is less prone to cheat with it, as a means of straight up finishing her matches. This allows her to prioritize showing off her wrestling skill, greatly diminishing any claims that she'd need her backpack in order to win.

- Widow is prone to villainous monologues, which are usually done while she's in control of her foe. But they can still distract her at times.
