A Kick Outta Apex - Antonia A. Aunt vs. Callie May

After Antonia's initial debut on LAW, competing in the Apex competition would be the next step for the ambitious ant. Of course the prideful general already considered herself a prime candidate for the openweight belt, but she'd have to do her qualifier matches for it. And this would be the first one for her.

The combat-loving blonde was hoping for a more engaging fight this time around, after fighting who she considered a jobber, in her debut match. As usual, the wise woman had done research on her next opponent, Callia May - Kick Prodigy. The fellow middleweight had a history in Kung Fu, and unsurprisingly, was an expert on kicking. Antonia also had a history in martial arts, most notably karate, as the ant was a black belt. This similarity actually got the dignified general very excited, to kick this bout off!

After her announcement, Antonia made her way into LAW Arena and ambled down the ramp. She then climbed into the ring, waiting in eager anticipation for her opponent. Saying the battle-ready blonde also knew a thing or two about kicking would be an understatement. And the crowd awaited this match between strikers to commence!

Callie May

Callie was doing some shadowkickboxing, as she was happy to learn that her next opponent, Antonia, has a Martial Arts background herself. One of the reasons why Callie came to LAW was to fight all sorts of different styles. The anticipation was high for her, as she will have a lot to show in this Match, this being a LAW Apex Qualifier, meaning that due to her not having many matches, she will need to do more to qualify, and nothing will help her more than a win tonight.

She headed out to the ring, and went through the curtain to loud cheers from the crowd, as the arena turned dark ith a spotlight on her, putting on her shadowboxing routine before walking down the ramp and slapping hands with the fans. She walked up the steel steps, and headed to the center of thering to continue ue her routine. After that, she will head to her corner.

"It's nice to meet you Antonia, I hope we have an amazing fight today." Callie said before bowing in front of Antonia, waiting for a response.

Soon enough, Antonia's opponent made her appearance in LAW Arena. The ant raised an eyebrow in amusement, seeing Callie showcase an impressive shadowboxing routine, which prompted the fans to cheer for her. It also got Ms. Aunt even more excited, but she maintained a dignified composure. After the striking showcase was done, Callie meant Antonia in the ring.

The tweener's attitude towards her opponents in matches tended to vary, and the general was too prideful to bow back to Ms. May. However, aside from that, Antonia decided to treat Callie with due respect, having been very impressed with her skills. As what was tradition for her, Antonia pulled out her blue Ant Gear technology, which projected a hologram of Callie. Like a pokedex, Antonia began to read out the information she had researched on Callie.

"Name: Callie May. Height: 153 cm. Weight: 125 pounds. The Kick Prodigy." Antonia said, speaking robotically. "As a self-taught kung fu gold medalist, you seem to be an expert at kicks." The hologram then faded, and Antonia spoke in a normal spoke. "As usual, my exceptional intellect assures my victory. But...I also hope for an exhilarating bout. You seem......skilled. And meeting a fellow martial arts prodigy is......nice." A hint of endearment slipped past the ant's usually serious demeanor. With a smile, Antonia got into a karate stance and awaited the bell.

Callie was amazed by Antonia's hologram tech, she had to wonder where she got it from. But obviously, that wasnt the focus right now, the focus was taking down Antonia, and getting another win to her record book. "Thanks, but im ready to take you down!" The martial arts prodigy said with a smile on her face.

Callie got into a Kung Fu Stance, and waited for the bell to ring.

When the bell rings, she will approach Antonia, and attempt to kick her in the side of her stomach.

Antonia had actually invented her Ant Gear herself, but that wouldn't be the focus of this bout. Kicking would be! "You're welcome." Antonia responded, before saying what Callie said in an overly complex matter. "But I'm prepared to relocate you to lower levels." The blonde just meant she was also ready take down her opponent, and she got into a karate stance to prepare.

With the sound of the bell, the match was on! Given Callie's whole gimmick, Antonia excepted her fellow middleweight to quite literally kick things off. And the blonde responded in turn. She evaded the kick by stepping back. Afterwards, the general would charge forward with a roundhouse kick, attempting to nail Callie in the face!

Callie decided to start out the match with her signature kicks, and attempted a kick to the side of the Ant Girls stomach. "HUH?" Callie exclaimed, as the only thing her kick met was air, as Antonia had managed to dodge her kick.

This left Callie Unbalanced, and open to an attack, one that she received with a roundhouse kick to the face from Antonia, knocking her straight down back to the mat. Callie held her face from the kick, vulnerable to further attack.

After dodging Callie's first kick, Antonia fired back with her own, knocking the girl flat on the mat. "No no no. I know my skills are next to none, but don't disappoint me now. Back on the soles of your feet." Antonia insisted, reaching down to pull Callie back up into a standing position. Afterwards, the blonde aimed to hit the brunette with a sharp knee strike, directed towards Callie's abdomen. Antonia put the pressure on her adversary, eager to see what see could really do!

Callie felt dazed from taking that kick from Antonia, she wasn't expecting herself to be the victim of a kick today. She had to rub her head and her short hair, she needs to be able to counter her opponent's striking game with her own, or else she was gonna get shown up.

Callie was then brought to her feet by Antonia, and she knew that Antonia was going to continue her offense. The only thing Callie had on her mind was countering with her offense.

So when Antonia attempted to knee strike her in the abdomen, Callie would attempt to catch her knee with both her hands. "Nope! Not so fast." Caliie would nod from side to side before pushing down Antonia's knee and then kicking the side of her leg.

If all works, Callie would have the momentum on her side.

The prospect of fighting a fellow martial artist had gotten Antonia truly excited. She wanted to see what Callie was capable of, not willing to let up the pressure on her fellow striker. And after their first kicking exchange, Antonia forced Callie to her feet to try a knee strike. However, Ms. May managed to catch the blow! This caused the general to raise an eyebrow in amusement. But before Antonia could follow-up, Callie pushed the ant's knee down, and swiftly kicked the side of her leg!

"Grrrgh." Antonia grunted, falling onto a kneeling position. "That's more like it." Antonia was seemingly vulnerable for Callie to continue the offense, but the bout between the two strikers was just getting started!

Callie knew the ins and outs of strikes, so taking on a fellow striker was right up her alley. She strike her leg to stop Antonia. Callie was ready to continue her next attack. She was ready to show Antonia who was the better striker.

"HOPE YOUR READY FOR THIS!" Callie said as she was about to round up her next attack.

It was time for a Roundhouse Kick to the side of Antonia's head. "KYAAH!" She yelled.
