In order to stand a chance to become a contender for the Openweight title, Morgan needed to fight in a series of qualifying matches, and she would be having one tonight against Hikaru Sawazaki. Despite Hikaru being heavier than her in terms of weight class, Morgan was confident that she could take her on. Wearing her signature purple wrestling outfit, which consisted of her bra and trunks, she waited for her moment to make her entrance. Soon, she received her cue and made her way out of the locker room to the entrance where she walked down the ramp.

Entering the ring, Morgan walked around for a bit before she did some light stretches to prepare herself for her bout with her opponent. Then she waited at her corner, leaning against the turnbuckle. She looked at the direction of the entrance to see her opponent making her appearance. Despite her stoic look, she was actually anxious because this match would be important for her in order to qualify for the contention for the Openweight title, the most prestigious title LAW had to offer.

HinarunSawazaki hadn't had the greatest start to her career but she had proven she can fight hard and win matches even when she was an underdog. Tonight the odds were in favor of her lightweight opponent but Hikaru was going to go out there and show that she shouldn't be counted out!

Clad in her wrestling attire Hikaru came out as the crowd politely cheered. She held her arms up and waved both hands as she walked down the ramp before getting to the ring. Hikaru walked up the steps onto the apron then climbed through the ropes to enter the ring doing some stretching of her own before stepping up to the center to await the opening bell.

Morgan watched her opponent making her entrance, and she waited for her to join her in the ring. Acknowledging her presence with a nod, Morgan waited for the bell to be rung. Hopping on the balls of her feet to get herself ready, she would then get into position as the bell was sounded. Now that the match had started, Morgan thought of her first course of actions.

The first thing Morgan would do was to hold out her right hand towards Hikaru, awaiting her reaction, seemingly going for a test of strength. But the moment Hikaru grabbed onto her hand, Morgan planned to execute her plan, in which she would immediately seize Hikaru's hand before attempting to twist it, giving her opponent a wrist lock!

Hikaru saw Morgan looking for a contest of strength and she accepted only to be caught off guard by the wrist lock! "Argh!" Hikaru said as she dropped to a knee, reaching out for her shoulder as her arms as twisted. Hikaru tried to stand back up moving around but stuck in the wrist lock unable to escape the hold.

Trapping Hikaru in the wrist lock, Morgan would continue applying pressure into it. Then, she decided to transition it into a new hold, where she would bring Hikaru's arm right on her back, subjecting her to a hammerlock. Pushing Hikaru's arm up, Morgan was applying pressure into her shoulder in order to weaken her. It seemed that Morgan had quite a good start during this match, and she wanted to maintain this momentum before finally winning this match.

Hikaru's arm was twisted and now Morgan was behind her. Hikaru grit her teeth as the pain jolted her and she had to do something to stop this. Hikaru bent down and reached up with her free hand attempting to free herself by snapmaring Morgan down to the mat in front of her! Hikaru would try to transition into a reverse chin lock right after since Morgan would land in perfect position for Hikaru to lock it in. This was going to be tough so Hikaru had to wear down Morgan and wrestle smart tonight.

Holding Hikaru in the hammerlock, Morgan would put more pressure into the hold, causing pain around the shoulder area of her opponent. But Hikaru seemed to have some plan as she then bent down and reached up to Morgan's head before she yanked at her, flipping Morgan over with a snapmare. Losing her grip on Hikaru's arm, Morgan was flipped over and slammed down onto the mat.

"AAHH!!"

Landing on her back, Morgan groaned a little as she then rolled over onto all four. Putting a hand on her back, Morgan would try to push herself up before her opponent could take advantage of her downed state.

Morgan was fast and rising to her feet before Hikaru could act. Hikaru tried to get up herself to give chase as she got up herself. Hikaru hoped to surge in behind Morgan and trap her in a a standing side headlock! Hikaru would squeeze away and walk Morgan around the ring trying to choke some of the fight out of the smaller wrestler.

Trying to recover while on all four, Morgan was then pulled up by Hikaru, who put her into a side headlock. Groaning as her head was wrenched in the hold, Morgan tried to muster her strength into escaping, but for the time being, she would remain there as she tried to come up with a solution to this predicament.

Hikaru gave one last squeeze before twisting her torso sending Morgan to the mat with a headlock takeover throw, keeping the side headlock secure after the landing to keep slowing down the pace of the match to suit her more technical style. Hikaru was not going to make mental mistakes or so she hoped as she wanted to control the tempo of the match.
