Oboro Scarlett vs. Karen Meadows - Apex Qualifier Match

Oboro Scarlett considered herself a self-made woman who emerged from the ashes completely different than the person she was before. She had made peace with it, and now, she would make sure to keep herself at the top after moving her way up from the rock bottom. She was unfettered in her desire to remain up there, even in professional wrestling, where she desired to make the stable she was in, Khaos Ring, the most dominant force in LAW. Of course, to bring that desire to reality, she needed to become the best, and the Openweight title seemed to be her best bet for that.

Oboro Scarlett

Making her entrance for the qualifier match, Oboro strutted down the ramp with apparent confidence even as the crowd threw jeers and boos at her. She smirked back at them as she made her way to the ring, where she would be facing her opponent for tonight. From what she had heard, she would be facing someone named Karen Meadows. She remembered one of her protégés, Lady Cipher, had defeated her before. So, she had little doubt that she would be able to defeat this Karen in this match.

Now in the ring, Oboro would wait for her opponent to arrive. All the while, she had a confident smirk on her face, indicating how sure she was in her own wrestling ability. In her mind, the result of the match had been predetermined where she would defeat her opponent and walk out of the ring with head held high as she added one more win under her belt in addition to increasing her chance to become a contender for the Openweight title, the most prestigious title this promotion had to offer.

Khaos Ring...she remembered the name of that wretched stable. Early on one of it's debuting members some gas masked freak named Lady Cypher made her debut against Karen Meadows, a debut that saw the masked woman pushed to her limits and clearly exhausted but ultimately able to best Karen and claim the day for her teammates. Where Karen failed Mindy would not, she would make sure that Khaos Ring learned her name and forever understood that she was not one to be messed with nor would she be the jobber to the stars for them. She could think of no better way to make that point then by taking on the leader and putting her under her feet, since Karen had let the persona out and stopped trying to be the actress she had been on a roll, taking down newbies and jocks, stealing the show at charity events and making a name for herself on the road to Apex. She only needed one match, one simple match and she'd have a seat, she could have picked anyone but she wanted Oboro and she wanted to make her suffer.

"Rejoice LAW, when the night comes this time it shall vanquish evil as a side effect, I do this not for your sake but for mine. Nevertheless when the sun comes again you will be thankful for the work I do today." Mindy said before her music started to play and she came out looking like the cocky heel from the wrestling show the persona originated from. Though unlike Mindy when the fans started to give her attention her smile got less cocky and more happy before she flexed on the ramp taking her time and making Oboro wait on her. By the time she had actually gotten down to the ring half a minute had passed which was far too long for an entrance that wasn't some major thing like the Undertakers but being a showman first Mindy/Karen couldn't resist the chance to bask in the limelight they had been accustomed too. "Oboro, your brand of chaos has gone on long enough, I'd ask you to cease your stable but something tells me you won't listen to warnings so I'll just have to resort to violence." Mindy said with a smile, clearly enjoying the fact that she got this woman all to herself and was being given the chance to make her pay for her stablemate embarrassing her. Nothing was going to stop her from taking her down.

Oboro smirked as she watched Karen making her entrance and listened to her words. She folded her arms under her breasts as she waited for her to enter the ring. She could tell that this Karen was different than the one defeated by Lady Cipher. Of course, in her mind, Oboro believed that she could defeat this woman easily.

"Hmph... if you think you can best me, feel free to try..." Oboro said as she stepped away from the corner, ready for the match. The referee would stand between both Oboro and Karen, preventing a brawl from breaking out before the match could properly begin. Then, after making sure that both wrestlers were ready, the referee called for the bell, starting the match.

Instead of getting into position, Oboro would circle her opponent, smirking all the while. She would maintain the distance between the two of them as she would wait for Karen to make her first move. Oboro seemed confident that she could defeat the woman before her, though she seemed to be waiting for her opponent to make her move first.

Mindy looked at Oboro who stared at the fighter with an almost disinterested look, it was clear that she didn't see this match going any different even if she knew that this was not the same person her stablemate beat. Mindy didn't care one bit about her indifference if she would think so little of her Mindy would make her pay and make sure she remembered the name forever.

"When you have skills like mine, you just do." Mindy said regarding Oboro's talk about her trying when she knew she would pull it off. Two ego's clashing like this meant one was doomed to disappointment and Mindy already knew what she wanted to do when the bell rang getting closer as soon as she could. Since Oboro was in defense mode to start Mindy would just come in and try to lock up with her opponent, not wanting Oboro to get away when she could pull her in and try to force a headlock to start taking control.

Oboro waited for Karen to make her first move, and sure enough, Karen, or Mindy as she called herself, make her way towards her and tried to catch her in a headlock. But Oboro already anticipated this as she would get her hand up next to her head to prevent Mindy from locking her into the headlock. And now that Mindy was within her reach, she would try to retaliate with an attack of her own.

Using her other hand, Oboro would try to land a hit on Mindy with an European uppercut, looking to inflict some damage on her. Then, she planned to catch Mindy's head and trap her in a side headlock of her own.

When the fighter of the night tried to lock up with the leader of Khaos Oboro did everything to avoid that kind of lock up and slipped out of the way. Mindy growled and tried to pull her head back but Oboro was not one she could easily control of, slipping past her and throwing a counter in the form of a European uppercut that slammed into her chest and chin.

"Aggghh!" Mindy screamed and slipped away in surprise from strike and nearly fell backwards. She managed to stay on her feet even when that worked in Oboro's favor and she was pulled into a side headlock, her head unable to move out of the way and Oboro having locked around her before she could have stopped it. Trapped Mindy could only struggle in Oboro's arms and try to find a way to get herself free before Oboro took it further.

Hitting Mindy with an European uppercut, Oboro then successfully seized her head and locked her in a side headlock. Grinning as she would start wrenching that head, Oboro would then try to bring her down by flipping her opponent over with a side headlock takeover, bringing Mindy down onto her back.

Now that both of them were grounded on the mat, Oboro would maintain the side headlock as she would continue wrenching her opponent's head, looking to weaken Mindy. While Oboro might consider herself a striker first and foremost, she was still pretty skilled as a mat wrestler, as evidenced by her performing the side headlock takeover earlier.

Mindy was fighting to slip out of her grasp but Oboro had the hold locked in tight, keeping her slow close to her chest that Mindy had no room to even shake her head in place before Oboro threw her to the floor pressing her down and making sure that Mindy was trapped under her. So she had some skill besides relying on her whole stable, didn't make much difference to Mindy even when she was feeling stuck between the mat and Oboro's body.

Looking to amend the situation Mindy would try to start pushing on Oboro's head to free herself, wanting to fight back a little and push her head a little further. Her main plan was to get it far enough that she could lift her legs up to capture her head and pull Oboro down into a headscissor, to reverse their fortunes. Assuming she could pull it off she would instantly tighten it to try and squeeze down on her head and keep her from trying to escape.

Having taken Mindy down with the side headlock takeover, Oboro kept wrenching her head as the two of them were on the mat. She was grinning, feeling elated by her own dominance so far. But Mindy had a plan to escape as she started pushing on Oboro's head. Oboro groaned, annoyed by the push, but she kept wrenching Mindy's head in the side headlock, though that left her unprepared for what was coming next, as Mindy's legs suddenly wrapped themselves around her head before she was yanked off by a headscissor.

"NGHHH!!!" Not only that she was forced to let go of Mindy's head, Oboro also ended up in the headscissor where her head was squeezed by the legs of her opponent. She squirmed and struggled, trying to break free, but for the time being, she remained trapped, unable to break free.

If they were playing a ground game, Mindy would not be some helpless plaything to be tossed around. She spent years on the mats preparing for the role and she knew how to do this like she knew how to get up in the morning even before she fully dedicated herself to wrestling. Now holding the leader of Khaos between her legs she smirked and would try to lift her legs up so she could pull on her leg and tighten things even more for Oboro.

"Tight squeeze? The smooth thighs of the night seem to be too much for you." Mindy said holding Oboro down and looking at her face for her own amusement, she loved watching them squirm helplessly in her grip, and knowing Oboro deserved every second of this would be the ultimate satisfaction for her. She would try to tighten it and put more pressure on Oboro's neck to make her struggle more and realize who she had made an enemy of, even if only indirectly.
