Cheryl Williams vs Korra the Enforcer - Apex Qualifier

Cheryl jumped at Korra, flying in for a dropkick aimed at her chest to knock her down some more. She was quick and expected to be able to hit the enforcer only for her to move and catch her in her arms, and not just catch her but holding her for a a quick 360 spin to bring her down with a side slam!

"Gaaaggh!" Cheryl screamed, taken by surprise with Korra's quickness and her ability to catch her after she had chopped at one leg for so long. Between the sudden slam after being spun around Cheryl was slightly dizzy and very winded, this time she couldn't just pick herself back up and keep fighting like before. All she could do was lay there to recover for as long as Korra would allow.

Korra knocked Cheryl down while Amber watched once again concerned for her friend after another big hit. She felt even more concerned when Korra was the one mobile again knowing how she was when she was retaliating. “Fuck.” Korra’s attempts to stand up weren’t going well her leg felt sore to the touch and swollen despite not looking it. She couldn’t let Cheryl know what she had done to her. She couldn’t let anyone know that she had met Cheryl do this to her. “I can’t believe you think you still have a chance.” Was all she could say while she sent her knee into the side of Cheryl’s head which was more neck than her skull. “Hey! Hey ref watch her she can’t do that can she?” Amber was quick to call it out and the ref was warning her about targeting the neck like that. Korra looked at the ref before she pressed her arm down on Cheryl’s neck and started to squeeze clearly daring the ref to do something. Or Amber who looked ready to jump in the longer this took.

That move sapped her of her energy, like she had been doused with water just as she was catching fire. She could start moving up but next to Korra it was hard to feel safe at all, and before she could get away from Korra the bigger girl started to scream at her like she had done something wrong, moving against her before she would start to throw in a knee that hit her right near her jaw and the top of her neck.

"Ngghh!" Cheryl groaned before she started to cough. The knee hit such an odd place that her neck felt strange while Korra was scolded by the ref for how close it was. This didn't stop her, instead she just started to choke her with her arms. "Ughh. Aaughu! Uuuahh!" Cheryl gasped shaking while being choked by Korra. Her eyes were wide and shocked at the cruelty of someone who could do this in the middle of the match all because she had managed to hurt her. Her hands slapped at Korra's arm but there wasn't much she could actually do besides move up to swatting at her face.

“Cheryl? Cheryl! Hey ref do something she’s going to kill her!” Amber was freaking out with how tight those arms looked around Cheryl’s neck. She was squeezing so tight that her neck seemed to shrink. The ref finally stopped it by force, pushing Korra to let go before she called the match off. Korra didn’t budge. She did let go in the end but looked at the ref to show her that she chose to do it. All she got was a ref telling her that doing anything like that again would get her disqualified immediately. Some backbone was enough to make Korra grin at her with a bit of respect before she locked in on Cheryl to grab her head. “Breathe. You don’t want to be gaping for air before I knock it out of you.” Korra pulled Cheryl up to uplift her the rest of the way and carried over to the corner to throw her into her prison. Cheryl wouldn’t leave this spot until she was a pancaked against it.

Korra's power made it feel like she could break Chery's neck if she kept pushing. The sounds she was making were enough to make her feel like she was really about to die all because of this monster's crazy ego couldn't handle that Cheryl proved to be better than she thought. Her hands were reaching for Korra's face or arms to free herself but her eyes were rolling backwards, lightheaded and things were going fuzzy as spots started to appear in what remains in her vision. Another night with less witness maybe she would have actually gone through with it but thankfully here she let go. She didn't start breathing immediately, it wasn't until she was pulled back up to her feet that she even exhaled looking wildly at Korra and the ref while the air helped her brain function and tell her what to do.

By that point Cheryl had no control of what came next, Korra lifted her up and would toss her into the corner where she hit the turnbuckle with enough force that she might have bounced off it if Korra wasn't there to keep her in place. The cheerleader was trapped, the corner wasn't going away anytime soon and somehow she had a feeling Korra would be even tougher to get past like this.

While she was trapped in here Cheryl wouldn’t have the freedom to move that had helped her survive this long. It would be a matter of strength and that was just something Korra had too much for this dainty brunette to fight out of. Despite Amber’s encouragement Korra knew that Cheryl’s hopes were fading. She would snuff out whatever lights were still on by throwing a punch to Cheryl’s face. Her next few punches would hit lower after that to make sure that Cheryl didn’t pass out from head shots. She worked the stomach and chest to tear the little bitch apart.

Cheryl was in a terrible position that cut her off from nearly every advantage she had over Korra. Without the ability to move or leap around her agility was worthless and Korra was too close for Cheryl to throw a kick unless she wanted to prick Korra's legs and sides with a few knees that might not do much. Right now defense was her focus, she was blocking punches from an angry brute that went for her head at first but soon targeted her stomach hitting her in the side to give a rude awakening to what would happen if her guard faltered.

"Ngghh!" Cheryl groaned, leaning down more to better protect her body without giving her easier access to her face. She would hold here before trying to throw a quick punch to Korra's chest, she could ill afford to do much else when another few body shots came in, another tagging her side and stomach before it forced her arms back down to block.

Despite Cheryl’s defensive strategies Korra was happy with the results. Those blocks only delayed an inevitable end for the cheerleader who had no hope of protecting herself from every punch. Blocking some but taking others while Korra would move around and change targets to test just how good she was. Honestly it was surprising how much Cheryl was doing and she even found the small brunette smashing her chest with a light punch in some act of resistance. It was laughable and endearing somehow. “Must be that rich energy that makes these fans go crazy for you.” Korra could only guess. Then she would go for another upppercut to the body before she would swing an elbow down on top of Cheryl’s head enough times to lower her. “That kind of energy is good for the beginning of a match. This is the energy you need to close a match.” Pulling Cheryl between her legs and then lifting her up Korra would hold her in the air and turn her towards the ropes to make her bounce off them and turn around before dropping her with a rope assisted power bomb.

Cheryl was kept in a box that she had to play defense in, suffering a combo of punches that her body simply couldn’t block all of. “Grngh!” Cheryl groaned folding when the punches went low and forced her to lower her body. When she went down, Korra quickly brought her elbow down on Cheryl’s back while she was down. “Aaggh!” Cheryl gasped and dropped down to a knee while Korra pulled her under her legs in a powerbomb position. Wasting no time before she was lifted off the floor and on Korra’s shoulder who dropped her on the ropes so she bounced off them and used the bounce to turn them around and drop her backfirst to the mat.

“Gaaggh!” Cheryl screamed. Her body bounced an inch off the mat and the pain spread across her back while she laid down in agony. Arms going to her back and moving to her side while she tried to recover, squirming helplessly on the floor.

Amber’s hands covered her face in shock once she saw Cheryl take a powerbomb like that. Korra’s power made just about any hit she made Cheryl take look devastating for the smaller middleweight. Korra was in love with the sight of it. The destruction of anyone who stood in her way was the most a fighter like her could ask for when they were working up to bigger goals. “Did you hear that? The sound of your back starting to give is the sound of your career slipping through it’s final seconds.” The taunts continued while Korra would grab Cheryl’s head and start to pull her up to her feet again, this time hooking her arms with double underhooks so she could lift her up once more and turn her in a way that would send her body back down and onto Korra’s knee.
