Those that Heal and Those that Hurt: Doctor Fabulous vs Korra the Enforcer - Apex Qualifer

The submission happened quickly to avoid an escape attempt and her legs trapped Fabulous when she came too close. It gave her a moment to herself to watch her weakly struggle and panic in her trap. The elbows after everything else gave her a headache that was around the side of her face telling her where Fabulous had done most of the damage and what place she needed to protect until she figured out the extent of what happened. “Time you learned to accept that not all patients can be treated. And that sometimes it’s you needs a lesson.” The enforcer was sure that this was the end with a submission victory. She felt Fabulous trying to escape and thought that nothing would be enough before the lack of air to her brain turned her limp. It ended up being s surprise when Fabulous pushed her at an angle and was able to hold herself there, pushing Korra up enough that her back was on the mat enough for a pin. Korra tried to squeeze down more and ever Fabulous to slip from being choked out, and the ref didn’t stop since her legs were still up enough to stop her. All she could do now was break it off after the count of 2 and go for another punch to her face. She had to get somewhere else, shuffling to the side and pulling Fabulous in so she could slowly slip in and get to her back to take a mount.

Doc Fab winced as she threw all of her body weight over Korra, trying to pin her as she grit her teeth. The pain in her arm and neck was brutal and she could feel her breath running out from her. But then the psychiatrist felt herself be released as she flopped over to the side after Korra kicked out. She gasped loudly before being hit with a punch, falling over again and rolling onto her back, stunned from the hard shot.

Reeling from the hit, she suddenly felt her leg being grabbed as Korra rolled her over onto her front. And then, she felt her body being pulled in, and instinctually, she threw her body forward, wincing to avoid being pulled in. She knew the danger she was in and that this could get catastrophically bad for her if Korra was able to mount her back. But with the next yank of her legs, she was flat on her stomach again before quickly turning over and drawing her boot back and throwing it directly towards Korra's face, trying to get her to back off again. It was wearing on Doc Fabulous and really took a lot out of her to keep surviving here, but she wasn't about to simply let Korra take her out without a fight.

The only thing left to do now was move. Even though the match was draining her stamina surviving the many finishing attempts so far she still had to work and move to avoid the rest. She didn’t have time to focus on whatever hurt too much like her head when she could be getting the back of Fabulous and securing the winning mount. She was denied again by the fading Fabulous, still fast enough to go flat and turn to her back where she would fight her mount by kicking at Korra’s head. The boot made her head morph when pressed against it and she felt another irritating crack in her skull as it adjusted to the space the boot gave her. More pain and fogginess bubbling inside her skull. Her boiling rage struggling to fuel the war machine, only keeping it heated enough to try a few tricks. Despite the kick straightening her out it failed to fend her off. Only stalled her for which Korra would try to punish it by grabbing the leg and pulling it close to her armpit to trap it while her hands would wrap right under her knee cap and try to pull up. Taking the leg with her and giving her something to scream about.

Doctor Fabulous hit her stiff boot to the skull of Korra as she was desperate to get away from her beastly opponent. She felt the thud from each shot, until she suddenly didn't. Her leg was grabbed finally by the unrelenting Korra, and the Wrestling Professor let out a gasp, that soon became a cry of pain as her lit was being wrapped in a painful leg hold. Her knee cap felt like it was being torn apart as she screamed out. "Aaaaaaaah!" She hung her head, thrashing and trying to escape to no avail!

The doctor's free leg flailed around as she tried to throw her body away from Korra's painful grasp, but she wasn't able to! Until finally she realized she was making headway to shift both of them away, and she pushed her front off the mat and flopped away, tugging both of their bodies away from the middle of the ring as she continued to cry out painfully. One flop, two flops, and then at a third, Doctor Fabulous was able to grab hold of the middle rope with both arms, hugging it as she grit her teeth, closing her eyes tight and just praying that the referee would force her powerful opponent to release her limb! She was in an impossible position, and she knew this had severely crippled her chances, but she wasn't about to give up just yet.

That submission ended the kicking. Sparing Korra from any more problems with her head and giving Fabulous something to scream about with her leg. Her frustration with the match so far giving Korra plenty of think about trying to tear her leg off and feeling Fabulous struggle for any angle that could provide her mercy. A smile was back on Korra’s face witnessing those struggles knowing that she was going to keep going even if she did break the leg if it made this match end and get her another win. The sudden turn of her body when Fabulous would push and flop to the ropes throwing herself into each stride until eventually she was able to grab the ropes to stop the submission. Korra was speechless seeing it. How much could anyone take? Korra pummeled foes twice her size and had them crying and crawling away for mercy while she was getting this doctor to show them up because she had no quit in her. Looking at the ref telling her to let go of her reminding her that the match was still on made the Enforcer tense up completely lost by the news. Her head shook in denial before she grabbed the leg she was already holding and instead of letting go would stand up and pull on it to force Fabulous off and dragging her to the center to pluck her off the safety the middle ropes provided. “What kind of world am I living in? Bitches my size fold like lawn chairs and doctors are giving me a hard time? Was I drugged!?” Her rant was punctuated by her throwing Fabulous leg down and stomping around her, and only after that did she try to get back on the right track by grabbing Fabulous and pulling her back up to her feet. Losing focus was not the answer. She had to keep hitting her and she knew what to do. She would pull Fabulous and hold the doctor on her shoulder stomping around and turning her down to drop her with a Running Powerdrill! Her finishing move and the only thing she could think of that might put this doctor down now. The impact of the slam could silence a room and Korra would hold her down to go for a pin to see if it would finally put an end to this match.

Doctor Fabulous, surprising everyone, managed to grab the rope with one hand, yelling out in pain from that leg lock. Her whole body ached, most of all that leg, and she was praying for the referee to force a quick release. Korra spoke words, but Doc Fab was in too much pain to listen as she just focused on not focusing on the pain. She held onto that rope, knuckles turning white as her arm shook, tense beyond belief. And then in a moment, sudden relief as her leg was thrown down. She let out a loud gasp of relief. The leg was still in terrible pain, but the pressure was off at least. She took a heaving breath, but that was actually all she had. Time for one breath. Before she could get any time to recover, and she would be afforded the time to do so with the rope break, Korra had defied the rules, ripping her away from the safety of the ropes and immediately going back on the attack.

The Wrestling Professor was hoisted up, and Doc Fab hadn't had the opportunity to recover enough as she was held aloft by her powerful opponent. And then soon, she was slammed down into the mat with the Running Powerdrill. Doctor Fabulous' body bounced off the mat as her front lulled up, then fell right back. She was planted hard, her whole body absolutely stunned by the attack. She soon felt the strong form of her opponent over top of her as she was being pinned.

TWO!

THREE!"

The bell rang. Doctor Fabulous had lost, giving a valiant effort to stay in the match against an opponent so monstrously powerful, and Fab was just overcome, with Korra having to rip her from the ropes to put her down.

Korra was getting tired of being surprised. She blamed everyone else for it when she knew she should be careful when dealing with other fighters just because they’re smaller but this was her own mistake to fix. Thankfully she did. The Running Powerdrill did the damage that it always did. Now the doctor was just right for the pinfall, holding her down until the count was completely reached and Korra was once again named the winner. Another win and the final match she needed. This should be a moment to boast and stand proud. Fabulous and her masterful work in the ring left Korra a stumbling mess. Rather than a confident match out of the ring standing over a pathetic foes body, Korra had to roll herself out of the ring and gingerly place herself on her feet so she could get back up and start to walk away. Hand on her head and taking her leave or the ring she looked back at the doctor with a hate in her twitching eyes. If she was a better woman she would’ve found a measure of respect for what she did in this ring. She had taken on a bear and blinded it. Sadly Korra wasn’t the respectful type. She would win Apex and when she did she would come back for her head to make her regret making Korra stumble away from a victory.
