Chigusa Yuuki vs. Lyra Heartfield - Apex Qualifier Match

Tackling Lyra down with her spear, Chigusa would pick herself up as she would grab Lyra, pulling her up as well. Wrapping her arms around her waist from behind, she would then hoist her up and throw her over with a German suplex, sending her crashing down onto the back of her shoulders and head, hitting the mat. Upon impact, she would release her waist to maximize damage.

Chigusa got back up rather quickly as she hoisted Lyra up by the waist making the fortune teller groan. Lyra then braced for impact going for another over the rainbow ride. Chigusa hit a Release German Suplex making Lyra impact hard on the mat! Lyra flipped over on her stomach completely half-awake as she groaned and squealed in pain holding her back. She wasn’t getting up for awhile and it looks like this could be the end for her.

Sending Lyra flying with the release German suplex, Chigusa picked herself up and looked at the direction of her opponent. She made her way towards her before she bent down to pick her up by her head. From there, she would shove her head between her thighs, preparing herself for her next big move. After snugly putting Lyra's head between her leg, Chigusa would wrap her arms around Lyra's waist before she hoisted her up onto her shoulders. And right after lifting her up, she would swing her down onto the mat, getting into a seated position as she would bring her opponent down with a powerbomb!

Lyra couldn’t even begin to bluntly describe where she was as her vision rolled around in her eyes and her brain was on stun for the meantime. She didn’t even register when Chigusa put her head between the legs and lifted her up high. The breeze on the way up shocked her eyes open, but just as she could understand the gravity of her situation, gravity brought her back to the mat! Lyra gasped as her back hit the canvas with a driving force. Lyra spit out saliva staying stunned on the mat and spread eagle flattened by her opponent.

Bringing Lyra's body down with a powerbomb, Chigusa exhaled before she brought herself right on top of her opponent, going for the pinfall attempt. Making sure that Lyra's shoulders were against the mat, she would hook one of her legs as she pinned her. The referee would come over and start counting for the pin next to them.

"ONE!"

“2! 3!” The ref counted as the bell would signal the end of the match.

Lyra groaned as she lost this encounter and she grabbed at her back after the final count was uttered. This was a major loss for her on the road to Apex and Chigusa got a decent win over her. She had to admit she was outmatched by the former Wrestle Angel.

With that, Chigusa emerged victorious over Lyra. Standing over her opponent, Chigusa had her arm raised as she was declared the victor. She celebrated her win for a bit before she bowed respectfully to her defeated opponent. From there, she would make her exit, feeling proud in herself after getting herself a win, which would allow herself to pave her way down to the Openweight title.
