Sheila Chihara vs. Chiaki Nanami - Apex Qualifier Match

Sheila was sure that after delivering a few hard stomps against the downed Chiaki, she could keep her locked in place in order to land her next move with even greater force. And, sure enough, when she came down with her leg on top of the pink-haired girl's stomach, it hit her hard enough to send her bucking upward from the canvas, crying out in pain! Sheila flashed a toothy grin as she rolled over to the side, getting on her hands and knees, Now that she was lining up some high-flying moves, she was able to show off what she did best, and the fans were cheering even louder for her exploits!

Now, Chiaki rolled over on her side, gasping for air and attempting to nurse the pain in her gut. Unfortunately for her, Sheila wasn't going to give her the time to do so. Still riding the highs of her leg drop, she was energized and ready for more, and she was ready to act! Pushing at Chiaki's back, she went to roll the gamer onto her stomach - if that worked, Sheila would roll on top of her, sitting down on her back and reaching to cup her hands around her chin to pull her head backward in a camel clutch!

When Chiaki started getting dragged out of the ball she'd curled up into by Sheila, who clearly wanted more, that was probably the point when the gamer girl went from in deep trouble, to completely cooked. "Ah, no! Gah! S-stop! AHHHH!" Chiaki tried to fight back, but she had no way to stop Sheila from locking her into an agonizing camel clutch.

"GAHH!" Chiaki cried. She really had lost after Sheila had gotten her hands on the gamer girl a single time. All the work she had done reduced to nothing by one offensive. Why Sheila didn't just pin Chiaki she didn't know. She certainly would've been able to. But this was it either way. Chiaki couldn't move, and this camel clutch was hell. It wasn't even the usual back and neck pain. She was getting pulled far enough back by the Aussie that her stomach was forcibly stretched out by the hold. And with how many times Sheila had stomped her foot down on Chiaki's stomach, stretching now felt like her gut was getting cut open with a knife. She couldn't take it at all. "I GIVE! I GIVE! STOP! STOP! I GIVE!" screamed the gamer girl as frantically tapped Sheila's thighs as well.

Landing on Chiaki from a great height, Sheila had already all but knocked the wind out of the gamer girl. If she wanted to, she probably could have covered her for the pin then and there, and it would have worked. But that wasn't enough for Sheila. She was still riding the highs of her adrenaline, and she wanted to see them out into a truly explosive and unforgettable finish for this match, with something even greater stored up her sleeve! First, though, she felt it necessary to soften Chiaki up a little more, just in case. With legs that were already coiled tightly and ready to spring, she threw herself down onto Chiaki, shoving her face-down as soon as she had gotten up from the mat, and proceeding straight to latching her hands around her chin and rolling her weight backward to force her spine back into an arc with a Camel Clutch!

In the face of all the damage she had already taken, Chiaki simply couldn't withstand the force with which Sheila met her - this was just too much! As the Australian girl yanked back hard on her chin to twist her into a C shape, lifting her body up from the mat in the process, she quickly shouted out her submission, reaching out to tap on Sheila's leg. At first, Sheila was...disappointed. She was hoping that if she could make it to an Apex qualifier, she could at least go for a proper finish with one of her high-flying moves, especially the finishers she had perfected. She had assumed Chiaki would have more in her than that, and that she'd have the chance to finish her off in style - but, in the heat of the moment, she had forgotten that Chiaki herself had admitted she wasn't exactly top tier material. For a moment, Sheila held the position, blinking in confusion a couple of times. But then, she shrugged her shoulders and let go. A victory was a victory!

The bell rang as Sheila straightened herself to her feet, the referee stepping in to hoist her arm in the air as the announcer proclaimed her victory, with Sheila all the while beaming with pride and waving to the cheering crowd. "Here is your winner, SHEILA CHIHARA!!"

No sooner had that happened, however, that Sheila turned around to Chiaki, prodding at the pink-haired girl with her foot. She looked down at her with a concerned look - she still didn't have any ill will for Chiaki, and she didn't want to hurt her that badly. "Hey...you okay?"

Every second that past Chiaki's submission that Sheila kept the pinkette locked was a second of agony that she had already admitted that she couldn't take. Even in she had known in theory that Sheila could turn the tables like this, Chiaki was still stunned at how fast it had happened. It was like getting hit by a desperation wake up super, and then getting caught on the follow up mix for a full combo into a second super. That was what Chiaki felt like right now.

But at least Sheila had the decency to check up on the defeated Chiaki. "I'm... not sure," Chiaki said slowly. "I'm in a lot of pain with how many times you stomped my stomach in a row. But I'll have to get checked out to see if I'm actually injured." Based on how she felt, Chiaki would guess that she had multiple broken ribs, and internal bleeding in every organ in that area of her body. But Chiaki also knew that she probably wouldn't be able to speak, or probably be awake if that self diagnosis was anywhere near accurate.

"Uh, heheh..." The realization began to dawn on Sheila that maybe she had gone a little too far when it came to finishing Chiaki off. She had gotten lost in the excitement of a match in front of the Apex judges, and she had forgotten that Chiaki wasn't quite as tough as even the opponents she was used to dealing with at this early stage of her career - or that she could have gotten the same results with half the force. Besides, Sheila was the type to jump first and ask questions later, and she didn't know her own strength. All this combined meant that Chiaki had taken more of a beating than she had earned - and, when Sheila heard her opponent's assessment of the situation, she chuckled nervously, rubbing at the back of her head. A blush came to her cheeks, and she flashed an awkward grin. "Whoops-! Sorry about that...I guess I got carried away. But if you need help..."

Sheila bent down lower, moving to take Chiaki's hand in order to guide her to her feet. "Maybe I should help walk you out, then. What do you say? Hey, maybe I can buy you dinner or something to make up for it..." She stepped over the ropes, starting to escort Chiaki somewhere safe.

Obviously, Chiaki was in a lot of pain. So when Sheila went to take her hand, the gamer girl took it slowly, carefully, tentatively. Not wanting to upset something that would result in a sharp spike in her stomach. It took a couple seconds, but Chiaki was up standing once more. She had a slight slouch, as it was more comfortable on her stomach than standing straight. But she was still up.

"Thanks for the offer, but just getting me as far as the nearest medical center would be more than enough," said Chiaki. The gamer girl certainly wasn't thinking about food right now. She was no doctor, but trying to fill up her stomach right now seemed like a questionable decision at best. Not that Chiaki would openly air that concern to Sheila, who simply wanted to help. And so the two headed off, Chiaki supported by Sheila.
