Poisoning Minds: Wisteria Khan vs Doc Fabulous

Sheena took a deep breath backstage as she tightened the straps of her purple sports bra with the cover of a stack of cases. A position that also provided Sheena with some much needed peace in addition to privacy. Something she found she needed prior to matches starting less she let her thoughts go out of control and interfere with her abilities in a match. Something she couldn't let happen especially tonight with this being another qualifier match for Apex. "I really wish I could get my own dressing room." Sheena said to herself with a sigh, checking the time before making sure her black boots were securely tied one last time before walking out from behind her sanctuary and towards the gorilla position.

Making it to the go position Sheena placed her hands on her hips as she took another deep breath. Tonight she was against a woman named Doc Fabulous, a rather off beat name for a off beat wrestler. Being a psychiatrist in the company, and perhaps the only one, Sheena was already expecting to deal with mind games and she wasn't looking forward to it. But as the stage hand gave her the ok to make her entrance and as her theme started Sheena found herself smiling softly as she walked out to the beats of her theme song along with the cheers and calls from the crowd as she appeared.

Smiling just a bit wider out to the crowd Sheena began bouncing on her heels in sync to the music, trying to let the energy of the arena assuage her of her worries before she broke out into a run towards the ring. Hopping up onto the apron Sheena would grab the top rope and look over the crowd with a smile. As she did so Sheena would jump up, vaulting over the top rope and into the ring proper. Hopping onto the top rope Sheena would smile once more at the crowd, her confidence having surged along with her entrance before she hopped backwards and towards the corner, readying herself for the match ahead.

Dr. Feel Good by Rania began to play as Doc Fabulous stepped onto the stage, striking a thoughtful pose at the top of the stage, wearing a pair of glasses and doctor's jacket over her gear, smiling coyly at the crowd before taking a glance at her opponent who had already entered the ring. Her opponent was Wisteria Khan, one of what seemed like a neverending line of the Khan family. She had watched her make her entrance prior to coming out, and she had noticed a slight hesitation in her entrance. Jitters, nervousness perhaps? Normal, usually, but it was something to take note of.

The Doctor would then confidently walk down the ramp, taking some time to take a few pictures and have brief snippets of a conversation with certain fans, and wave to others. She didn't show an ounce of uncertainty as she headed down to the ring, looking utterly in control as she would casually lock her eyes with Wisteria, even at one point waving to her as she headed down the ramp. And eventually, Doc Fab would get to the ring steps, walking to the center of the apron and then glancing back to her opponent and giving her a wink, before throwing open her jacket, revealing her pink and black gear underneath before ducking under the top rope and walking to her corner. She handed her glasses and jacket off to a stage hand before eyeing Wisteria in the corner with a smile, doing brief stretches.

And when the bell rang, Fabulous would walk to the center of the ring, holding out her hand. The blonde would extend her hand, giving her a nod with her other hand behind her back. "Hello Wisteria Khan. Let's have ourselves a good match, alright?" She offered a beautiful, full smile, showing no signs of any foul play, and looking like she legitimately wanted to show sportsmanship to her opponent.

It wasn't long before Sheena heard the song of her opponent began to play. Narrowing her eyes softly she prepared herself, knowing already that this would be a difficult match to get through for her and already getting herself prepared for that. As the gorgeous blonde woman strutted down the ramp the purple haired girl couldn't help but have flashbacks to her match against Eirina Makishima, shivering as a result. 'This will NOT end that way.' Sheena thought to herself as she rolled her shoulders while the blonde entered the ring.

Bell ringing shortly after Sheena immediately stepped forward with her hands up, prepared more so for a lock up off the bat, but that wasn't what her opponent had in mind. Instead the blonde woman stepped forward immediately with her hand extended, wishing for a good match between the two. Looking between the hand and her opponent suspiciously Sheena had to briefly consider whether or not it was a trap. After all given how many women in LAW were it wasn't a bad thing to consider. But... She also didn't want to disrespect her opponent unnecessarily and she seemed ok...

Reluctantly Sheena extended her hand out to grab onto the Doctor's hand and shake it. "Yeah lets." Sheena said with a nod to the woman, accepting the gesture of good sportsmanship on good faith. But that being said Sheena wasn't doing so with all defenses lowered. Instead she would have her body tensed as she shook the doctor's hand, keeping herself prepared for any possible attack or cheap shot from the woman if she tried it.

Doctor Fabulous watched Wisteria, who seemed like she was a little more uncertain about her. Furrowing her brow slightly, she canted her head as she examined her posture. She's likely been burned in this company before by someone, and she was hardly over it. Watching and keeping a hold of Khan's hand, she paused, then gave it a quick, harmless jerk of her hand before releasing it and then stepping back. "You seem worried, Wisteria. Do I intimidate you?" asked Doc Fab, happy to see if she could burrow into Wisteria's mind just a little bit. A little doubt was normally all it took sometimes.

"Because if you start being afraid of me now, this match will probably go poorly for you," said Fabulous, now raising a hand in the air, crouching down slightly, as she invited Wisteria to a test of strength. Clearly another move in which she could keep Khan in doubt if she was actually going to cheap shot her again, as harmless as her intentions were.

'Of course she picked up on my hesitation.' Sheena thought to herself in annoyance at herself and at her opponent as she shook the hand on the blonde woman. Before she let go however there was a jerk on instinct Sheena tensed up and got herself ready for a fight... only to find it was just her opponent messing with her. Shooting a terse look at the woman as their hands dropped Sheena would take a few steps back, wanting a degree of space between them before the match started properly. "No you don't. I'm just not gullible." Sheena shot back to the woman's words as she did so, until there were a few feet between them.

Hands up instinctively as she circled the Doctor Sheena would prepare herself for anything, not sure exactly how her opponent would respond back. As it stood however it appeared she wanted a test of strength. Eyes narrowing again Sheena evaluated her options quickly before reaching out, looking to lock hands with the woman's own, accepting the test of strength with a bit less hesitation then before. Both to prove the Doctor wrong about being intimidated as well as to capitalize on any potential advantages off the bat if this was legit. Even if it wasn't Sheena was confident she could take whatever it was and give back just as much.

Doc Fabulous could only smirk at Wisteria's response. Gripping hold of Khan's hands, beginning a basic test of strength with her. She didn't necessarily put a ton behind it. She wasn't looking to really looking to beat her in a test of strength. The blonde was, however, mostly looking for an opening.

"Considering I haven't played any tricks on you... I would say that it wouldn't be a matter of being gullible. I think you're worried, at the very least, that I could play a trick. And that by me saying this... It does nothing to make you feel better," explained Doc Fabulous, a simple smile on her face. "But I'm sure there won't be a repeat of whatever's made you... not gullible."

The technical Doctor Fabulous would then abruptly break their test of strength, moving to suck Wisteria in to attempt throwing her into an armdrag, aiming to lock on an armbar immediately after to take an early advantage in this contest!

Sheena grunted as she pushed against the blonde woman in the test of strength. As is she wasn't putting all of her strength behind it, rather she was just matching the woman's own strength, gauging it and trying to make her go all out first while looking for a opening.

However pacing was a difficult thing to do when her opponent was psycho analyzing and talking all throughout the exchange. Feeling her eyebrow twitch in annoyance at the words from her opponent Sheena tried to keep herself composed while pushing against the woman. "You're correct at least about one thing." Sheena said, feeling herself getting annoyed at the woman.

"It doesn't make me feel better!" Sheena saidm feeling the Doctor give way and instinctively she pushed forward at the opportunity to try and take advantage! However in doing so Sheena fell right for her opponent's trap, getting caught in the arm drag before her arm was pulled back! "Ngh!" Grunting in pain as she felt this Sheena instinctively reached up, trying to grab hold of her caught hand to keep the submission from being locked to its full effectiveness.

Doctor Fabulous tried locking in that standing armbar after successfully hitting the armdrag. A simple maneuver and a simple start to the match. With a grunt of exertion, Doc Fab tried to tear the arm away from Wisteria's other one to properly lock in the hold. She could tell that Khan was already very unamused by what she was saying, which she understood. It would be a missed opportunity if she hadn't tried to put a little doubt into Wisteria's mind though.

"Nice... attempt," the psychiatrist-wrestler stated. Being an expert in technical submissions, she took the time to analyze the situation before raising a foot to step between the locked arms of Khan. Then, she used her leg to slowly pry her arm away.

And following that, the Doctor would then secure the arm and take hold of the purple-haired girl's wrist, manipulating it and then pushing it back with a lot of pressure, trying to weaken her wrist in the early going!

Sheena groaned and grunted with exertion as she tried to hold onto her hand as tightly as possible in a effort to keep the arm bar from being fully locked in for as long as possible, knowing the damage that could be done if it was fully secured. 'Shit!' Sheena thought to herself, struggling more and more with each passing second to maintain said grip as the Doctor slowly worked her leg up and manipulated her hand, slowly but surely breaking her grip!

"Agh!" Sheena yelped out as her arm was fully extended! Wincing in pain from hold Sheena knew she had to act and act fast, otherwise she would be screwed. So in a desperate bid to save herself Sheena attempted to curl her hips in while tying to pull her legs under her. If she was successful doing so than Sheena would attempt to push herself forward against the Doctor's legs in a effort to fold the blonde's body up and into a pin position!

Granted this was risky since it was far too early in the match up to earn a pinfall or submission. But that being said Fabulous would surely be just as aware and it would be her call to break the hold and keep the match, or let herself be pinned and lose both the match and the qualifier. Between the two the purple haired young woman was fairly certain what the psychiatrist would pick.

Having worked to secure her hold on Wisteria, Doctor Fabulous preened happily to the crowd as she bent back the wrist of her opponent. "Close, Wisteria," she said bluntly, making it clear she had won that skirmish. She held it for a decent amount of time before Khan was trying to escape it already. She furrowed her brow when she noticed Sheena making her move though. With a soft groan, she secured the hold on even tighter before her legs were taken out and Wisteria managed to roll her into a pinning position!

ONE!

Fabulous had to commend Khan for the quick thinking, but she was able to still maintain the hold while rolled up. And if she was going to release the hold, she would hardly allow it to go without getting a little more out of it.

The Wrestling Professor would then give a stiff jerk of Wisteria's wrist in the exactly wrong way, hoping to send a serious jolt of pain through that arm as she kicked out of the hold. Rolling back, Doctor Fabulous would kneel on one knee, watching her opponent and tapping her own temple. "Quick thinking... but I'm still an extra step ahead," Fab stated with a good-natured smile, winking at her opponent and standing back up, content with surveying her handiwork.
