Background:
Jessie was never the most popular girl in school, but the thing that fascinated her the most were gears and machinery. She was abandoned on the doorstep of a Toledo orphanage from a young age by an unknown parent and thus grew up not having a mother or father to guide her through life. Jessie felt lonely from a young age and became very shy not understanding why her birth parents didn’t want her. This extended to families interested in adopting Jessie, but she would not utter a single word and spent 16 years in the orphanage depressed at the fact that nobody related to her wanted her in their lives. That was until she met Sarabeth. Sarabeth had anger problems and felt the same sense of abandonment that Jessie did which helped her make her first real friend.
They didn’t judge each other and shared an interest in working with gears and building tiny robots in order to control their movements. When Jessie would be bullied by other kids, Sarabeth stepped up for her and told them to back off. They were inseparable, but Sarabeth would be adopted and have to say goodbye which made Jessie sad. Her one and only friend gone from her life and that just returned her to her previous ways. However, Jessie had thought about things and concluded that Sarabeth wouldn’t want her to mope around. It wasn’t the end of the road for them, it was just a minor intersection where they took different directions for now. Jessie would be adopted into a wealthy family and moved to Florida in order to attend a technology school working on mechanical science.
Jessie would graduate and got a call on her phone from Sarabeth asking her to fly out to Arkansas to give a try at professional wrestling with her. Jessie was a bit concerned at the idea seeing as she never quite got over her shy nature and adapting to seeing people watch her compete made her super nervous. Sarabeth told her they could do it as a team and she would be right there with her. With encouragement from her best friend, Jessie bought a plane ticket from Florida to Arkansas and took tutelage under Hunter Chummers along with several local legends and learned the basics of wrestling adjusting well to grappling and working out a character to get over her shyness.
Jessie invented a steampunk genius gimmick and debuted in Absolution Pro Wrestling for a month or two before Sarabeth helped her get accepted into LAW’s Young Lioness Program. Jessie was a bit hesitant about having to move countries, but Hunter promised her that if it didn’t work out in Japan, he would help her get on her feet in America in order to help her feel comfortable. Jessie swallowed down her nerves and signed a contract with LAW as her first international excursion is about to begin.
Personality:
Jessie is a shy girl to say the least and prefers not to talk much unless she is around Sarabeth. If one were to get to know Jessie and show that she could trust them, she would show her real emotions. Jessie is very friendly and highly intelligent mastering in her studies of machinery and mechanical formulas. She knows how to fix basic electronics and can offer a variety of explanations for how certain machines could have gone haywire or how they could have malfunctioned. Suffice to say, Jessie knows what she is talking about and Sarabeth constantly calls her “Egghead” much to her chargin.
Wrestling Style:
Jessie wrestles a very technical move set and is an analyst above anything else in the ring. She tries to avoid acting reckless with her moves and tries to take in a lot of probabilities for moves her opponent can perform. Jessie will play defensive at the beginning in order to study her opponent and try her best to avoid them as best she can. Once she knows more about her opponent’s move set, she puts in her own moves and tries to counter figuring out a pattern to how her opponents operate. Her research and observation skills are key here and her calculations of victory go up with each noted declaration.
Preferred Matches:
Like Sarabeth, singles, tag team, and hardcore matches are likely Jessie’s most preferred matches to go with. She’s too shy to go into hentai or any other lewd matches. Beach matches wouldn’t be too bad for her as they are just like the matches in the ring. Any match where she can demonstrate her intellect and researching skills will be a dream come true for her despite the fact that she may secretly fear going out to perform in front of crowds still. Overall, Jessie likes to keep things simple and likes to test herself in a variety of traditional matches.
Extra Trivia:
-Jessie is a huge reader and has a separate backpack filled with encyclopedias, dictionaries, non-fiction books, and graphic novels.
-Jessie heavily watches wrestling documentaries in order to understand the business and further research for her career.
