Style: Katsumi is what’s known as an all-rounder wrestler. Her wrestling fundamentals are pretty solid and that gives her a versatility that pushed her through the indie leagues. Thanks to her overall knowledge of wrestling she can devise a way out of any situation and that’s exactly what she does. Reading her fighting style is so difficult since she can go from throws and strikes to submission moves in an unexpected way and with years of experience she has become pretty proficient at using that to her advantage.
Strengths:
- As a jack of all trades she can quickly swap fighting styles to take her rivals by surprise.
- Her unpredictability makes her rivals scratch her head for enough time for Kat to make up with a plan to get the upper hand.
- Has great physical resilience and willpower. She’s basically so headstrong it takes a while for her to accept defeat.
- A jack of all trades is a master of none and it shows. A true expert in any of the areas of wrestling can outdo her in that particular area.
- She’s a little too hotheaded, which can make easier for a rival to get inside her head when things aren’t going her way for some time. This also applies to heels who appeal to mindplay in the middle of a match since Kat is transparent in her intentions and a cunning rival can play tricks on her mind.

Backstory:
Katsumi’s mixed heritage played a powerful part in how her personality and character came to be. She was born the daughter of a middle-class first generation of Japanese inmigrants in Buffalo, USA. Her parents had been living there for some years but they were also deeply linked to their roots in Japan so since a very young age Katsumi had been exposed to both cultures, which made a pretty special mix of interests for her. Since she was little Kat showed obsession with three things in particular: cowboys, samurais and wrestling, so one could easily find her either suplexing her stuffed animals at home, playing the stern bushido-driven samurai in the middle of her school break in USA or walking like a cowboy in the middle of Kyoto in the summers when she was with her grandparents.
As she grew Katsumi’s interest in wrestling solidified and her first taste of that world was in the high-school club. She performed decently, it was clear that she liked the sport, but practicing in a competitive environment like that lacked the flair and aura of spectacle it had when she watched it on TV, either in Japanese or in an American broadcast. Soon enough it was clear for her that what she wanted to be was a showstopper and after leaving high-school (and since she wasn’t exceptionally great at studying) she started getting training to become a pro-wrestler. It wasn’t easy, but after some tough months during which her family showed great support for her, Katsumi landed a spot on an indie league. She made an impression there thanks to her combination of brash personality and a cool wrestling persona, half cowboy half samurai. For some time, she was the pivotal part of some spectacular feuds and grudge stories, but she never aimed for the title since it looked like she was meant for higher places.
One fateful day a man approached her representing a wrestling federation. The federation was LAW, globally famous for having the most daring wrestlers, and they wanted her to join them. Katsumi’s heart almost skipped a beat when she heard this. However, there were some erotic aspects to LAW she wasn’t that comfortable with, but saying no to an oportunity like that to be under one of wrestling’s top spotlights wouls have been crazy, so in the end she accepted.

Personality:
Katsumi has a pretty strong personality. She knows what she wants from life and isn’t afraid of going the distance in order to get it, which makes her a very resolute person that once she sets her mind on something it’s hard to make her change her mind. Thanks to this attitude it can look like she’s brash and even a little overconfident at times, but she has a good heart and is just trying her best to reach her goals. She wants to shine in wrestling, but that isn’t rivals with letting her oponents shine. In fact, having strong oponents thrills her since it helps her prove herself. She is highly competitive but aims that drive towards improving and proving herself, not to overcoming rivals just for the sake of it. In the end she just wants to do her best and if she falls she wants to do it with her head held high knowing that she made her best. Outside of the ring she’s pretty cheerful and has a generous heart, always willing to help a friend in need.
