Personality: in the ring, Thorn is a sadistic and perverted heel who takes joy in tormenting people who piss her off. Akane presents herself as a terrifying succubus on stage but is sweet and kind to all outside of her Thorn persona. Akane is confident and flirty as she's always been a popular girl. However, when it comes to her younger sister, Akane is fiercely protective and loving, becoming almost a different person in regards to Hana. In Akane's mind, her little sister is her's to protect and her happiness should be considered and prioritised above all else. Akane also has a certain interest in comic book supervillains since Hana speaks of them so much. This has led to Akane incorporating some traits from her favourites in her Thorn persona. However to a degree this is real, though Akane doesn't let it control her and tries her best to keep it as just a persona.

History: Akane was the first child of the Tanaka household and always had an affinity for the gothic. It may have had something to do with being born right before Halloween but whatever the case she was far less naturally timid than the rest of her family. Akane loved spiders and gloomy parks but she always had a softer spot and wished for a younger sibling as a little girl. When she was 5 her wishes were granted as she then had a baby sister named Hana. Akane soon became a very overprotective elder sister and toughened herself up even more as well as becoming more involved with the occult. Akane's father happily encouraged his little girl's tomboyish attitude, paying for karate lessons. Hizashi was very supportive of Akane's martial arts lessons. Not only this, Akane began to make a little bit of music, playing guitar for Hana, as it made her happy. It filled Akane with joy to do so. Their family was overall perfect. However, this was not to last, when, in her teen years, Akane was introduced to heroin. Akane was immediately addicted. She spent less time at home, starting her "Hex Girls" street gang with the few other goth girls at her school. Fights arose in the Tanaka household, Akane making excuses and becoming continually more problematic for her family. One night, this culminated in a violent argument between Akane and her parents while Hana was in bed sleeping. But while Akane was in the middle of screaming, she stopped short as she heard the whimpers...of her awoken baby sister Hana. Hana, the person that Akane had treasured above all other things in this world, had been traded for cheap fixes. Akane fell to her knees crying, hugging Hana tightly and begging for forgiveness from her family. The Tanakas did forgive Akane, helping her through rehabilitation, making sure she got clean. But even though she was forgiven, Akane couldn't clear her conscience. She had to work for atonement. Remembering Hana's enjoyment of her music when they were younger, Akane sought out her old gang. Akane helped her friends to get clean, and they reinvented themselves as the Hex Girls band. Things were looking up, but tragedy wasn't far behind. The Tanaka family, lost a member. Hizashi passed away. The family was distraught, but none more than Akane. The eldest child of the Tanaka family could not shake the shame of some of having her father witness her as a spiteful junkie the last year of his life. Though, Akane had atoned for making her baby sister cry, how could she forgive herself for what she had put her father through? It took many years, but Akane found her answer, when her younger sister joined LAW. Akane remembered how her father loved seeing her fight in her karate classes as a child. So Akane became a LAW part-timer, hoping to make her father proud as he watched over her.
