Spoiler
Layla's childhood was fairly uneventful. Born and raised in the suburbs of Toronto, she spent most of her time either relaxing at home or focusing on school. While she was mostly the lazy, do-the-bare-minimum sort of girl, she was surprisingly naturally very athletic and flexible, leading her parents to enroll her in some gymnastics classes when she hit 13, eventually dropping them after school.
Layla didn't do much in her spare time until she graduated from high school, where boredom and a lack of direction in her life started to eat away at her. At 20 she started a job as one of the dancers for a local nightclub for the next few years.
She hated it there. While the free drinks were somewhat of a boon, the guests were often atrocious, the blaring music would give her constant migraines, and all she had to show for it was borderline illegal wage plus the meager tips she made.
Refusing to swap to a typical 9-5 job, she took a nearby LAW tryout session as the perfect opportunity to move her life forward.
