History: Makoto was born into an average family in Japan, however, while she and her sister were still studying her father died. After that, the family struggled to pay for both the education of the girls and their necessities, but their mother still pushed both girls to finish their studies in university, bearing the brunt of their difficulties.
As such Makoto grew up well aware of the tough situation of her family but still in getting a good education. The only luxury she could take however was the school’s gym where she trained a lot, often as a means to vent her frustrations due to their situation and her inability to help her struggling mother. Since then Makoto swore to live a life that will earn her enough money that no one in her family would need such a tight budget again, neither those she grew up with nor the family she was going to have.
From a young age the girl was interested in acting and has gotten smaller roles while studying, also using her trained up agility and strength, to earn her family some extra money. She kept going at it while at university starting to earn some reputation and more pay but neglecting her studies more and more as she saw the money to be made. However, all of that was over when she upset a famous director by rejecting his sexual advances. With her career in acting cut off, despite many attempts to make a comeback, only to find locked doors and barely passing university, Makoto struggled to find a well-paying job that she wanted. She bounced between office jobs and small roles, often as a stunt double until a representative of a small independent wrestling ring recognised her in a gym she frequented.
After some negotiations Makoto was recruited to fill in a gap in their roster, becoming a heel wrestler, setting up the “Queen” persona. While at first, the persona helped vent her frustration, as both her and her family’s situation got more table, maintaining it was more an exercise in good acting than releasing her real feelings. Her amazing acting and good martial skills quickly earned her fame and attention from the big leagues of wrestling.
Eventually, a deal was worked out for her transfer to LAW while keeping her persona. It also got some update, getting a new mask, knuckles, a revolver and even a motorbike for promotional shoots. But more importantly, an extra side was added to the character. "A shy looking schoolgirl from afar, your worst nightmare from up close."
With the large paycheck she was offered, Makoto signed on more than happily, ready to make some waves and finally fulfil her dream of having enough wealth that no one in her family needs to worry anymore. Not realizing that her sister already had a stable job as a prosecutor and her mother, now living alone, not having to care for two girls in education, no longer struggled financially either.
Personality: In the ring Makoto sees herself as an actor, putting on a show for money. And thanks to her great acting skills, the facade does not tend to drop. She will play the role of a mean heel, thinking she’s superior to everyone and wants to prove it by putting her foes in a world of hurt.
Once she knows the cameras aren’t rolling however her behaviour will change a lot, as normally she is a quiet, reserved girl, usually keeping to herself. She is polite rather than really friendly, expecting the same in return. As such she will often try to meet their opponents before the match, especially if they are known face wrestler to show them what she really is and try to stop hard feelings.
She does have a healthy confidence in her abilities, even without the overwhelming superior attitude of “Queen” she will still not shy away from reasonable challenges but does know her limits. If need be she can get into character at pretty much a moment’s notice regardless of costume, but won’t ever do so for her own amusement. Wrestling and the Queen persona are just a job to her that earns good money but not a way of having fun.
