Outside of competition, Neema is coolheaded. Guarded, but not what one would call cold. Her walls are particularly high in regards to sex, as she attaches easily when things get that far with a man.
When she's in the ring, she's intensely competitive and merciless, being one to give the opponent one hundred percent from start to finish even if they came in hurt. Exactly as she'd expect in the same position.

WARNING: Contains some dark themes.
Neema and her older sister Somaya grew up living the street life, given away as children as a means of settling a debt to an influential gang. As they grew older, they would be steered towards their strengths as they became apparent: Neema towards thievery (taking part in smuggling operations), and Somaya towards fighting (taking on jobs as muscle). They would remain low-level operators no matter how well they performed -- the gang's way of milking the children they raise into the lifestyle for all they're worth.
Said children would often be kept in line with threats towards the lives of their families, which would also be how Neema and Somaya would be kept in line at first. But after their parents had disappeared to parts unknown, the two would have no other family left for the gang to threaten: Their reach only spanned the state and a few nearby others, in which none of their other relatives lived. And so, their lives would be threatened directly.
The sisters would eventually ply their talents towards other endeavors on the side: Extra jobs stealing pricy goods here and there on Neema's end, and participating in a brutal Mixed Martial Arts sexfighting league on Somaya's, giving a portion of their earnings to the gang in order to avoid suspicion. After a few years of building funds, the Neema would reach out to a smuggling contact that wasn't affiliated with the gang, arranging for the two to be taken to Milwaukee, where they would partake in try outs for the largest combat sport promotion on the globe, and their best bet to go straight: LAW.
Somaya would make it through with a flawless record. With her being the warrior of the two, it would be no surprise at all. And aside from her own match against her, Neema would almost get through with the same result, being kept away from it by a man she least expected it from: A masked wrestler by the name of Black Severin. He was a mystery in more ways than the one, showing talent in Capoeira and something of an aptitude for grappling, although it was clear that she was his superior in both regards.
But he was more well-rounded, in the strangest, most captivating, and irritating way: He possessed the athleticism to do some of everything, but she wasn't sure if he knew exactly what he was doing, period. And even worse, he was holding back. And it was because she was a woman, in that gentlemanly "don't ever hit them" manner that left her with mixed feelings. On one hand, it was a pleasant rarity that she would've liked in just about any other scenario. On the other, it bugged the hell out of her to have lost to that when she was giving it her all. And on top of that, she doesn't at all like complicated when it comes to emotions, which only made it worse. Not even having a front row view to Somaya kicking his ass could make her feel better.
This was something that wouldn't be made right until she handles him herself. And fortunately, with one other hopeful having taking themselves out of the running with an overdone workout and another dropping out for whatever reason, there was enough room for all three of them to make it through...

Neema uses a mixture of Capoeira, Catch Wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, all blended together to form what she coins "طريق الثعبان" (Tariq Althueban - Way of the Snake). The Capoeira is used less to strike, and more to create angles to bring the opponent down to the mat, where she does her work best. She will do what she can to keep them there, using her remarkable endurance to test the opponent's with pinfall attempts and submission holds. She'll also weaponize her assets if she sees a need, but she lacks the seductive flair that other women in LAW possess, being very competition-focused.
When that fails, she still has the elusive, deceptive Capoeira to fall back on, bolstered with her athletic ability.
