[Backstory]
People often take one look at Oleander and think of her as a freak of nature, mostly due to her skin color being unnaturally gray. Truth is she was actually born with melanism, a condition that normally affects animals in making their fur color black as night or a lighter shade thereof. Despite this, Oleander’s parents loved her no matter what she looked like.
This wouldn’t hold up at school however, as her birth defect caused her to be subjected to countless bullying as far back as elementary school! Even if she was the smartest in her class, no one wanted to be friends with her.. let alone stop picking on her! Oleander’s parents would end up homeschooling her after she was nearly beaten to a pulp and ended up a blubbering mess when her principal called them, while also signing her up for MMA lessons.
And so Oleander would start her mornings being homeschooled by her mother while her afternoons were spent in three hour MMA classes, as a way to both defend herself and let out her frustration. Her relentless nature towards her opponents was mostly a coping mechanism, but it made her a forced to be reckoned with in the octagon! The way she saw it, if people made fun of how she looked.. she’d return the favor by leaving them black, blue and a blubbering mess!
Oleander’s life would take a turn for the better in her teenage years, when she took part in a charity MMA match against the younger Cashmere Strongfoot.. and really hit it off! Their fight had the two go back in forth for three rounds, using every trick in the book to outdo each other before it would end up in a draw. This would cause Oleander to gain mutual respect for Cashmere, and the two become really close friends.. before their friendship blossomed into a power couple!
As she reached adulthood, Oleander would soon end up gaining a scholarship from her parents when graduated homeschool. It was on her 27th birthday when her mother surprised her with an application to the League of Anime Wrestling so she’d be able to take her MMA career to new heights, especially since her girlfriend was apart of it! Now the Scholar of the Shadows has made her way to Japan, ready to duke it out with other MMA fighters.. and put those who bully others in their place!

Oleander’s best described as a rebel, thus making her snarky, arrogant and someone who won’t hesitate to insult those who oppose her.. although she does have a bit of a soft side for donuts, puppies and her girlfriend Cashmire.
