Background:
Aaliyah was born to parents that weren’t the best people in the world. Her father got her mother knocked up in a strip club bathroom and due to his career as a musician, Aaliyah’s mother, Tiffany, was falling on ends meet as she was just a stripper. However, Brad, Aaliyah’s father, was able to start sending checks back to Tiffany in order to afford her an apartment and give his daughter some shelter while he toured the Midwest. Brad and Tiffany had a hand in the drug problem that plagued Miami back then and it ended up with both gettin arrested right before Aaliyah got home from high school. She found the apartment empty and no sign of where her parents went. Aaliyah was officially alone.
However, this didn’t mean Aaliyah was out and hung up to dry. She drained her father’s bank account and moved into a luxurious suite in Tampa living up the high life. Aaliyah was around is various social circle and became a business consultant for several firms when she reached her 20s. Of course, she wasn’t a good girl and had her various stints with law enforcement, but hush money and good times can do a lot of wonders in her direction. At the nightclub she attended, she met Ana Akira, daughter to Cyber Widow, and they hit it off greatly dancing together on the floor and getting desperate guys to pay for their quantity of drinks. Aaliyah would be flown to Germany to meet Thereisa Neidermeyer and her other daughter, Serilda, as Thereisa was slowly coming back into professional wrestling after being blacklisted thanks to Lars Ostberg.
Thereisa put in a good word for Aaliyah after Ana vouched for her new friend and Aaliyah got a job with LAW becoming Cyber Legacy’s manager and a part-time ring announcer. Everything started out good and Aaliyah loved her time making big bucks while also getting to suck her new friends on enemies that she made. However, things fell apart in 2022 when Thereisa and Serilda got suspended and Aaliyah quickly saw Cyber Legacy dip into obscurity causing her to request her release from LAW in August of that same year and essentially disappear. In the three months after her departure, Aaliyah retired from wrestling and became a theme park mascot for Disney World where she hoped nobody would recognize her.
However, things changed when the wheels of fate aligned and Aaliyah saw a new promotion start up called World Frontier Pro Wrestling. This could be the new start she had been wanting to see. Aaliyah applied for a job and met with Hank Strongbow Williams, who thankfully did not recognize her from her time in Japan, and she easily got a role as a manager once again. Aaliyah then became consultant to the faction known as Nightfall and they launched what is known as “The Merger From Hell” with an evil group known as Contra. When WFPW became partners to LAW, Aaliyah decided to use the talent exchange loophole to make her official return to LAW. She wants to continue her work as a manger, but got some training from Ryan Lewis, Lilith, and Adam Blackwell that all reside in Nightfall so now she has the skills to enter the ring to settle unfinished business.
Personality:
Like before, Aaliyah is about as cocky as they come. She will not hesitate to feel anyone is beneath her and will be quick to remind them of their place around her. Aaliyah is now out to bring professionalism back to professional wrestling and feels like she has a lot to clean up for her second run in LAW. Aaliyah has matured a little bit ever since getting married and growing into her 30s, but her smugness still remains. Aaliyah simply has felt she has a score to settle with some people in LAW and she’s out for revenge.
Wrestling Skills:
Aaliyah didn’t wrestle during her first time in LAW, but she wouldn’t say she was opposed to getting in the ring if the moment called for it. Cyber Legacy did give her some skills she simply didn’t have the chance to use and now, Nightfall gave her even more experience to finally put herself in the squared circle. She works more grounded and very submission-based trying to either wear her opponents down for them to sleep or tap out or to hear their screams in order to satisfy her ego. Aaliyah also isn’t hesitant to cheat if the time calls for it as she might hide some weapons in her boots and if she has ringside help, she might use cohorts to cause distractions. Aaliyah is a beginner in wrestling now, but she’s not a slouch from her time in WFPW.
Extra Trivia:
-Aaliyah met her husband, Adam, during her time managing Nightfall and they dated for about six months before getting engaged. She married him in December and they honeymooned in Las Vegas.
-Aaliyah used to hail from Miami, but now, she lives currently in Toronto in a mansion with her husband.
-Despite being a Blackwell now, she severely hates her sister-in-law Leah. She always gets a weird vibe from her and they butt heads a lot.
-Aaliyah has gotten very good at poker and even went undefeated for three months straight. She considered it a new career for herself, but stuck to wrestling.
-She owns two cats named Kirby and Layla.
-Before coming back to LAW, Aaliyah had a brief stint on the American and Canadian indies to test out her new skills in the ring. She’s had some losses, but has mostly won her matches. Surprisingly, three were won without having to cheat.
-She is unaware that her parents have died in the penitentiary they were sent to.
