History:
Born in Clearwater, Florida to a middle class family Faith Waterson was like most people growing up. Energetic, fun loving, and a yearning to try new things. In a way a lot of these carried with her as she grew up as at any point in her life she was trying new things. Some of these she was great at, like ballet, cheerleading and dance. Pretty much most aerobic based physical activity. Other things she wasn’t great at like chess, cooking and team based sports. For whatever reason she just never clicked with those. In any case what she would eventually find that she was truly gifted at was in fact… gymnastics. Naturally flexible and a crisp mind that could understand the little movements and theories behind moves she did incredibly well at the sport. Keeping up with it all throughout middle and high school Faith would eventually get offered a full ride scholarship to the University of South California in Los Angeles. Naturally given it was a state very similar to her own, and being a full ride she accepted and was living in the west coast sunshine state.
Faith’s first year of college was nothing to write home about though, she had fun, she did her work, and she adjusted fairly well, but that was it. Really she was kinda coasting for a bit. That is until she met the freshman on campus known as Aella Midori. Apparently having a deal to do flex classes so she can fly back and forth to Texas it didn’t matter to Faith as she and Aella instantly clicked and became close really quickly. Getting along naturally quite well they had a lot in common, their competitiveness in sports, their similar mind sets in terms of having fun and enjoying life, all kinds of things and Faith found herself enjoying college a lot more with her new friend. A few months into their friendship and Faith would start to learn a lot about her friend. Like that she used to be an active pro wrestler! Also that she had a kid! Faith found herself shocked but at the same time so very much impressed by Aella and her admiration of her growing. Likewise Aella also acted as a bit of an… influence on Faith. See, since Aella didn’t have a full ride like Faith did she had to do little things here and there to make some spare cash. Mostly the occasional wrestling show which Faith started to show ip to just to show her support, and as Faith came to know, apartment wrestling as well.
Apparently actual wrestling ability wasn’t necessarily a must for this and, at the behest and prodding of her best friend… Faith decided to give it a try. After all a little bit of extra pocket change couldn’t hurt could it? Which is rather funny since despite such a casual attitude to it, Faith took to apartment wrestling quite well. Between her natural beauty and athleticism she made a name for herself and dominated the girls she was set to face, having a undefeated streak even. Impressing not only the promoters but Aella herself who mentioned to her that she would have been great at pro wrestling if she tried.
Taking it at face value and being rather humble about it she just laughed it off. After all apartment wrestling was only a hobby and with her school work, not to mention gymnastics heating up with try outs for the olympics happening soon, she couldn’t even think about trying pro wrestling. That being said she did keep up with apartment wrestling when she could and in her junior year of college she even got offered a chance to face off with the champion of the West Coast Cynara Morgan! An opportunity that regrettably, Faith had to turn down. Tryouts had come and gone, and Daith found herself selected for the U.S. Olympic gymnastics team. An opportunity that meant the world to her, far more than a chance at Cynara. As the olympics came she had the time of her life, heading out of country for the first time, exploring a new place and having fun…. And bringing back a gold medal in the process.
This left her as something as a celebrity back home and after finishing college she headed back to Florida where she was hailed as a local hero and didn’t. have to try very hard to find work. Despite having a bachelor’s in arts she didn’t really need it since she found herself offers for multiple endorsement deals and starring in commercials left and right. It was a lot for her, especially since she was barely 24 at the time, but luckily her friendship with Aella helped keep her grounded and responsible with the money she was making. However it was also around this time that Faith met a man who would become her husband. Dating and getting along well they were soon married and had a child on the way within a year and a half. Happily married and visiting her friend Aella on occasion things were going great for a while. Getting into yoga and excelling at it kept her busy along with being a mother, and eventually she even opened her own yoga studio to keep money flowing. Really everything was about as perfect as could be.
But things would break down a bit when Faith’s child graduated high school. As during a night of celebration at the graduation party… Aella caught Faith’s husband cheating on her and naturally informed Faith of it with proof. Of course it turned into a scene with Faith along with Aella confronting him about it… actually coming close to kicking his ass before things were defused and he left.Damage had been done however and the marriage wasn’t strong enough to power through such a betrayal. Within the year a divorce was brought to the table and finalized and luckily Faith managed to keep a majority of her assets and money, with her kid being eighteen being a major help. With that being said though she was now… pretty much alone. Her husband was gone, her kid was in college away from home, and even her best friend had returned to being a pro wrestler in Japan.
Though… that last bit did garner her interest and she began watching LAW. Largely just to see her best friend in action… and she was impressed. Too see not just Aella, but other women their age doing so well in a sport she thought would be dominated by younger folk. What really interested her though was an email she got from Aella about an old acquaintance of hers name Touka. A woman their age that was… pretty much a rookie despite some training in her youth, but never competing professionally till now. Naturally shocked by this Faith found herself interested… and hooked. If someone else could break into this industry at their age… why couldn’t she?
Nothing really tying her down Fairh decided to go all in and began to go to a local wrestling school, paying extra for private lessons mind you… and began learning. Before long she was even making a debut! A shockingly good debut that hardly anyone believed was her first match. Between her well kept up physique and her natural penchant for athletics in general she took to wrestling extremely well. So well in fact that she found herself getting many, many booking requests and she did them all, getting a ton of matches in a short period of time. All to the point that many kept asking her how many years she had been wrestling. Which made it a little awkward when she explained she hadn’t been wrestling for more than a year. Either way it was impressive. So impressive in fact that it opened a door to LAW, who initially wanted her in their young lioness division. However Aella put in a word for her, offered to mentor her a bit, to make sure she was main roster ready, and they agreed. After a few months learning from her old friend she was deemed ready and now… she stands ready to make a name for herself in LAW!
