Appearance

History: Born and raised in a small town in Mexico to a poor family, Angel didn't grow up having a lot. The youngest sibling of five, most of her clothes and belongings were hand-me-downs. She didn't mind though...after all, she was only a child, and she was happy. Her two biggest loves in life were playing soccer with her friends (which, helped build and develop the powerful legs she would have as an adult), and watching professional wrestling on her family's small TV. She was completely enthralled by the showy aspect of it, and how tough and strong the wrestlers were, and the type of attention and fans they got.
It wasn't until she was older, entering high school, that she began to truly realize just how poor and badly off her family was. Angel started to feel embarrassed around her friends and schoolmates, herself having little and them having more. Part of her grew jealous of the people around her, and as she grew older she started to get a major attitude. It wasn't long before she was starting fights with people, getting into scrapes and brawls with anyone else that dared even look at her wrong. She was billed as a troublemaker, and it didn't take long for her attitude to get her kicked out of school completely.
It was at this moment that Angel finally realized...her life was never going to become better unless she made it happen herself. Her attitude died down a little...just a small bit...and she set her mind to work. She began training herself, deciding to follow in the footsteps of the wrestlers she had watched when she was younger. She really didn't have many other choices, she decided, and figured that she was a good enough fighter already to make it as a wrestler. She made a second choice, gathering what little belongings she had and what little money she could scrape together, and ran away from her small town, running away to a somewhat larger city, one that she knew had a local wrestling arena and a small league of its own. She used the rest of the money she had on her to help get booked there, one single show, one single match, one single chance to prove herself.
It was the toughest, most grueling fight of her life, but somehow Angel managed to come out on top. From that moment on, the next few years of her life were a whirlwind. She managed to get a steady role in the small town's league as the underdog newcomer who had come out of nowhere and put on an amazing match. She was scheduled for the next show, and the next, and the next. She didn't win every match, but she put on a hell of a show, gaining both popularity and the rebirth of her cocky, overconfident attitude. After only a couple of months of fighting here, she got an offer to move onto a bigger league and a bigger arena, and from there moved on to an even bigger one. Angel was growing bigger and bigger as a star, and it didn't take long before a visiting recruiter from a major Japanese promotion offered her the chance to move overseas and join them. Angel jumped at the chance, wanting nothing more to get away from what she considered to be a nothing life in a nowhere city. She sent her family a letter letting them know she was leaving, enclosing a large portion of her winnings with the goodbye letter. Then, she hopped on the plane to Japan, signing a contract with the promotion and beginning her new life.
She was in the promotion for almost a decade, starting at the very bottom of the company and slowly crawling her way up the ladder. She had to fight and push every step of the way, but she was eventually rewarded for a title shot...which she lost. It didn't take long though before she earned a second...which again, she lost. But, this didn't stop her. She was building up a reputation as a scrappy underdog, quickly becoming a fan-favorite, and it didn't take long for her to finally fight her way into a third shot at the company's main and most prestigious title, which she won in a huge match.
Angel now stood at the top of the company, and for over a year she held the world title, defending it against a myriad number of challengers, and building up an intense rivalry with another woman along the way...the very same woman who would eventually take the belt from Angel. Dejected and broken from her loss, Angel vanished from the company for the better part of a year, lost in her own mind. She went back home with her family, spending a great many months with them, and it wasn't until her mother got tired of her being a mopey sad sack and kicked her back out the door that Angel finally got her shit together. She returned to Japan and returned to her home promotion, determined to get over her depression and get her head back in the game. She ended up going on another solid run, defeating a pretty fair amount of powerful and dangerous opponents, once again solidifying herself as a major force in the company.
But eventually...something happened. Several of her friends and rivals in the company began to drift away, one-by-one leaving, heading for other promotions or leaving the business entirely. Seeing so many of her friends and so many of the people that she had gotten so close to leaving left Angel feeling dejected and lost again, and once more she ended up leaving the promotion, this time going into semi-retirement. She headed to New York and moved in with an old girlfriend, and things seemed okay for a couple of years, but the two of them eventually split apart, going their own separate ways again.
It was at this point that Angel was starting to feel the bug again, wanting to get back into the ring, and it just so happened that she had been hearing about a newer promotion called LAW making a huge worldwide push out of Japan, trying to move into other markets. Deciding it was time to get back into the business, she flew to Japan and practically threw herself at LAW management, demanding they sign her to the company...which of course they did, because who would be so stupid as to turn down such a legendary veteran of the ring like that?
