Wrestling Information
Strategy: Maria has proven herself a cautious and ponderous combatant, too indecisive for quick attacks but superb when dealing in counters and escapes. Her prior experience in martial arts is a boon for her versatility but still is reluctant in chain wrestling, mostly when it comes to her legs. Thus, Maria loves control of pace and heavy usage of kicks at openings and heelish moves to torment. However, her slow re-emergence into combat sports has awoken her former personality in rare occurrences. That excitability, daring, crazed and ruthless strategy AND attitude, an almost second personality that was reckless, yet enjoyed a high momentum offence, using her cardio to wear down someone's defence. ( Note: This last split strategy comes with character progression and will be implemented eventually or in small doses. )

Backstory
Maria Reinhardt was born in Oldenburg, Germany as the daughter of Karolina and Stephen Reinhardt. She was poised for a life of luxury, prestige, promise, fortune, but also great trepidation with hard-taught values of self-reliance, logical prowess, selfishness and a self-sacrificing work ethic. Nothing but the highest grade would satisfy them. Nothing but the most refined manners. Nothing but the best.
Reinhardt’s typically mingled in the highest echelons of society as multi-billionaire socialites with a global multi-national co-operation, interlinked with numerous connections, subsidiaries, charities and other ventures. Everything Maria had was with opulence, flying in private jets, harassing the staff with commands to fetch her more diamonds and staying within a myriad of homes across the world, enjoying different palettes, cultures, languages and customs, all expectant to memorize for the sake of their image, alongside basic academics which all had their tutors and coaches. Media was also another tool for their fame, and tabloids and articles marked Maria’s birth. She was forced into beauty pageants, ballets to learn violin and dance. The stress and busyness would fix a noose on her health, becoming perpetually tired until she collapsed at fourteen. Karolina called it commitment and was impressed, thus, gave Maria some self-determination, which she delved into martial arts, thinking the better physique would combat her chronic lethargy. It succeeded, wonderfully, where Maria took on this whole new version of herself as if she were an Amazonian trying to out-punch a gorilla. That fire-y passion, craze and daring were spotted early in her training but always died out at home. There was always a sibling that could rile her up, though; the ever-reserved, temperamental and cold Karla “Ray” Reinhardt. They didn’t know about each other’s existence until they were twelve, and the two locked horns like rivals. They did bond over their love for fighting as time went by, same for their shared pursuits into business. Karla tutored Maria for a while, and in exchange, Maria gave Karla some tips into fighting, which she took to the bare-knuckle street scraps she’d been getting into.
Maria accumulated an amateur record of six wins and one loss in her maiden year, but she took a hiatus to enroll in university, studying mathematics and business. M.M.A. was still her habit for exercise to combat lethargy, where she gained two wins and another loss. Her training regimens grew more intense as her career pushed on, with each loss representing a whole in Reinhardt’s ego, thus supplemented by their work ethic that allowed them to rise like a phoenix. This doctrine, however, leg to tearing both A.C.L.s on a hiking trip. There was always a fear of pain afterward. Never again did she chase M.M.A; instead, she devoted herself to business. She was entrusted with a small portfolio of assets in South-East Asia but lost it within five years, be it a combination of unreadiness or her lethargy that crept its way back in, costing Reinhardt M.N.C. seven million.
Both Karolina and Adelaide settled how they’d punish the failure in their midst. Maria would lose a majority of her contacts, be cut off, though she was supported by Adelaide and Karla in secret. Karla extended an offer to Maria not long after to join her in pro wrestling. It had been five years since the injury, and the pain was still memorable. Adelaide and Karla worked to reinvigorate Maria’s prime state for a year, bringing her towards the audition that scraped her spot onto the roster. The main objective they yet to reinvigorate is that second self Maria had buried. The fighter they wanted to come out, shackled by fear. If not to repay the seven million sooner, then to bring back the joy in Maria’s life.
Personality
Maria is a laid-back and lethargic individual. She’s plagued by constant tiredness that brings her into a sluggish way of speaking and a brattish way of thinking, often expectant things to work her way. It also makes her spiteful, emotionally passive and a bit insensitive as she doesn’t have the energy to consider the thought or emotional processes of others. While disregard for others is quite common in Reinhardts, this is matched with a lack of willpower and nigh-reckless self-confidence in her own tired ability that minimal effort is required to succeed. Thus, she proves nigh-unresponsive to most situations and lacks adaptability, instead supplemented by her Reinhardt pride and staunch belief in Reinhardt hegemony.
However, Maria’s confidence is mostly a bullet-riddled shell. Flurried by failures of her injury and mistakes in business, Maria has dug herself a grave where she’s lost all direction. She’s forever stuck pondering the safest routes, calculating risk and an extended time worrying about what could go wrong. It has swelled her up with fear and weak morale in the face of intense confrontation, where she cowers into giving basic respect and clings to silly things like honour, though even that piles onto her long-stretched thinking process. When it comes down to it, she cannot make decisions.
This is genuinely a regression. In her younger days, Maria was a spitfire, ignited by extreme passion and energy that since extinguished. She was daring and fearless, ruthless and quick to act. Almost reckless too, but she believed endless attempts could beat adversity. There was a nigh craziness feel to her attitude, as she was often in an overly-elated mood when in her prime that did not recognize consequences. Self-serving Reinhardt arrogance became the flag she bore along the way, and with zeal, she acted in her own best interest.
However, as her inactive years drowned this persona down, she sought more validation methods, often through material possessions—money and properties were her self-esteem’s lifeblood, as well as praise. When Karolina and Adelaide confiscated the money and property, Maria fell deep into a self-destructive state, mainly by continuous bouts of sleep without self-care. It wasn’t until Karla and Adelaide jumped at this state to bring her into wrestling that her old personality has been prodded, and attempts to revive it have been made. Albeit failed.
