Anastasia de la Oro

Profile

Real Name: Anastasia de la Oro
Nicknames: Heir of Greatness, Queen of the Ropes (Used mockingly. She hates it.)
Age: 25
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 160 lbs
Nationality: American
Alignment: Heel

Entrance Music:
Spoiler
Personality: Anastasia is prideful as they come, taking great pleasure in her victories while also carrying a smugness that screams “Was there ever any doubt?”. She shows very little respect for most opponents, finding most of them to be pretenders or untalented. She does give credit where it’s due on occasion, but she’ll never admit someone is the better wrestler under any circumstance.

Despite her seemingly awful personality, part of Anastasia has her heart in performing, as the crowd's reaction does have an effect on her performance at times. For example, being laughed at will hurt her decision-making skills drastically. She sometimes wonders what it’d be like to work for cheers, but working for self satisfaction feels a bit better to her.

Wrestling Information

Strategy: Disorient and disable. She uses her mastery of the ropes and exceptional agility to keep opponents guessing, then uses quick slams and painful submissions to weaken them. She typically aims to hurt the torso, as she wants to tucker out her opponents quickly. She doesn’t taunt or attempt to humiliate an opponent until she’s confident they’re no match for her.

Style: Modified Lucha Libre. She uses her fundamentals of lucha libre to avoid attacks and keep her opponents where she wants them, and then uses very fast disorienting slams such as tiltawhirl backbreaker and snap northern lights suplexes to really damage them. She does utilize her high flying for offense the most, as she’s known for hitting sudden flips and dives with little to no telegraphing.

Preferred Attacks:
  • Knife Edge Chops
  • Armdrags
  • Hurricanrana
  • Handspring Enzugiri
  • Tilt-a-whirl Backbreaker
  • Northern Lights Suplex
  • Various Rollup Pins
  • Pump Kick
  • Octopus Stretch
  • Sunset Flip Bomb
  • Tilt-a-whirl Armbar
  • Roundhouse Kick to Kneeling Opponent's Head
Preferred Matches: Standard matches are her go to, but she does have a secret love for matches that take place in odd environments. New stuff to dive off of and such.

Signature Taunts:
  • Yawning (Usually does this during an early pin.)
  • Does a light jog around the ring. (Does this after hitting her finisher or a devastating move on a low-effort opponent.)
  • Taps her temple with her index finger three times, usually accompanied by a smug smirk or trash talk.
Attitude To Hentai: “I’m an athlete with an unmatched legacy and unmatched talent, not a porn star.”

Physical Statistics

General Statistics
Endurance ★★★ - No slouch, but not as good as she could be. Her reliance and emphasis on being fast and hard to touch in the first place makes her a bad matchup against heavy hitters.
Strength ★★★ - While her brief weight training makes her a problem for most in her weight class, real heavyweights give her problems.
Speed ★★★★★ - Among the fastest in the game. Movies like she sees everything lo
Defence ★★★ - She’s very hard to hit at the start of a match, but when it comes to blocking shots, she’s slightly below average.
Technique ★★★★★ - Has a nearly endless arsenal of moves she can pull out for different types of opponents.

Wrestling Statistics
Strikes ★★★- Speed is above average, but they aren’t especially powerful.
Submissions ★★★★ - Knows a lot, and she’s good at securing them, but she isn’t among the best in the business.
Powerhouse ★★ - Despite being fairly strong for a highflier, she hardly uses any powerhouse moves. She can if she needs to though.
Aerials ★★★★★ - A master of aerial assault. She can hit different types of flips and dives from anywhere at any time.
Counters ★★★★ - On a good day, during most circumstances, she is slippery as an eel. However, due to how tilted she gets when flustered or humiliated, she can’t be given a solid 5 Stars.

Match Ending Moves

Signature Moves
Hummingbird Crash: (Front Flip DDT)
Spoiler
Night Sky Combo: (Standing Moonsault, quickly followed by a Standing Shooting Star Press.)
Spoiler
Queens Crab: (Anastasia runs towards a standing opponent and slides between their open legs, grabbing their ankles as she slides through, forcing them to faceplant. Anastasia then rolls backwards while holding their ankles and straps in a Boston Crab where she’s sitting on their back. Sometimes she presses a knee on them instead.)

Finishing Moves
Hydra Sleeper: (Surfboard into Dragon Sleeper. Beats on torso with knuckle jabs if she really dislikes her opponent.)
Spoiler
Prophecy Splash: (Corkscrew 630 Senton. Can either come off the top rope or from a springboard.)

Past
Anastasia was born in the Dominican Republic, but moved to New York when she was 4. She’s a fifth generation wrestler due to her father’s side of the family being in the lucha business since it began. She grew up around many aunts and uncles that actively wrestled, which was why she developed such a love and an eye for the art of wrestling. She wanted to learn at an early age, but her overbearing mother didn’t let her for quite some time. Instead, Anastasia spent the first few parts of her childhood taking acting, dance, and gymnastics classes. She didn’t really care for the classes at the time, but she now credits them as a major reason why her in-ring style became as polished as it did. She started learning how to wrestle in her free time, focusing heavy on the typical Lucha style at the start. After reaching a satisfactory point, she began adding strength training to her regimen, learning under her heavyweight aunt. By the time she completed college at age 21, Anastasia had amassed 10 years of direct wrestling training without ever having an official match. As a result, when she first debuted in a rather small promotion during a family trip to her father’s old hometown in Mexico, she demolished the competition. Many were amazed that a young talent with now real experience could move as well as she did. She decided to keep her years of training secret, and credited it to genetics and simply being born perfectly. She spent the next few years traveling around and wrestling. She primarily performed in the states and Latin America, but has been to Europe and Japan a few times as well. During these years, she expanded her repertoire of moves, but also began to fall into her own hype. The confident wrestling prodigy became cockier, and eventually became a self-absorbed glory chaser, primarily concerned with earning championships, hardly caring about having solid matches with worthy opponents anymore. Now she’s arrived in LAW, and she’s looking for new gold.
