Dawn could consider herself blessed today having been included in this No.1 contender tournament. Maybe she has worked long enough for her talents to finally be noticed, now considered as possible new head of the flock. Perhaps travelling towards an elephant reserve for assitance resulted in good karma from the Mother Earth. However, even if she was informed of great fortune coming her way, the blonde must carve this path herself. Between travels, she has been practicing on the side even through unorthodox means and was ready to face her first foe.

Spectators sat in their seats awaiting for the next lightweight battle to unfold only for lights to suddenly shut down. The darkness was only temporary as a single spotlight shined near the ramp, revealing the eccentric blonde frozen in a rather unusual stance, arms shot out and a single raised knee, like she was mimicking a crane bird. A blank stare peered out towards the observers until Semisweet Symphony started to play. This lead to Dawn's neck tilting while her mouth gave a simple message. "Greetings fellow denizens" Stance suddenly dropped and proceeding to skip her way towards the ring. The sequence of events looked rather surreal, but fans were able to adapt quickly enough as evident by the cheers.

In minimal time, the blonde arrived to the ring apron, rolling underneath the bottom rope. Due to being the first entrant, she still had plenty of time for pre-match preparations. The Canadian needing to sense the air decided to approach the nearest corner. Instead of laying on the canvas, she carefully scaled up until reaching the top turnbuckle where her body turned around 180 degrees before taking a seat. Until her physical counterpart would arrive, Dawn sat in a meditation stance, legs crossed and eyes shut, ensuring her mind and body was fully synchronised.

Morgan considered this to be her lucky break as she was given an opportunity to fight for the No. 1 contender for the lightweight title. It was her goal to chase after the gold in this promotion, and now she was given this opportunity to fight for it. She was determined to win to gain the chance to face the current lightweight champion, Rose Gold.

Morgan was waiting in the locker room, keeping her calm as she waited for her cue to make her entrance. This wouldn't be easy, considering that she would be facing other lightweights in order to compete for this opportunity. And soon, after her opponent made her entrance, it was time for Morgan to make hers, and she stepped out of the locker room, wearing her usual poker face.

Unlike her opponent, Morgan made her entrance without much fanfare, but she strode down the ramp with confidence. She saw no need to burst out with intense energy if she could just present herself with sheer elegance and charisma. She received quite a warm reaction from the crowd, and she acknowledged it by raising her arms and smiling slightly.

Soon, Morgan reached the ring, and she would climb up the apron and rolled under the ropes. Standing back up and straightening herself, she looked at her opponent for this round. For the time being, Morgan would focus on warming up and doing some light stretches, preparing herself for her match against her opponent, Dawn Wilder.

Dawn didn't need to open her eyes while her upcoming opponent made an entrance. There were plenty of other instances where she can get a possible read on their personality, especially upclose and personal. Instead she focused on her meditation until being called for action.

"It is time!" The referee messaged Dawn to wake up from her trance. Eyes suddenly bursting open in dramatic fashion, she hopped off from the turnbuckle and landed perfectly on her feet, crouching for only a second. Adjusting so her posture was straight, she glimpsed at Morgan in the corner performing match preparations. She didn't just see purple just in her clothing and hair but also an essence of lighter variety. A supposedly calm but capable figure awaited.

She also engaged in last minute stretching while taking into account the countdown. "I hope our duel doesn't have a dull moment" Exclaiming towards the purplette on the opposite side. She didn't mind if her opponent wasn't the talkative type, since their bodies can leave an imprint anyway.

DING DING DING

A call to battle sounded. Dawn immediately burst out of the gate and circled around her shorter foe, arms raised. An instance where strength might be valuable enough. For the present moment, the Canadian tried gauging Morgan's movements for any sort of response.

Preparing herself for the match, Morgan looked at Dawn, who seemed to be meditating before she broke out of her trance to get herself off the turnbuckle. Morgan kept her eyes on the other woman, wondering what she could bring on the table. Only one way to find out, it seemed.

And now, the bell was rung, starting the match between the two. Morgan would take a stance, raising both her hands in preparation for their clash. Moving to the side for a bit, Morgan would then surge forth, looking to lock up with Dawn in a standard collar-and-elbow tie up, hoping to ascertain her opponent's strength first before she could decide on what to do with her later.

An opportunity for the coveted title belt may not come again for a few performers, so Dawn also understood if some didn't have any time for idle chit-chat even if they weren't the more reserved type. Two rival prides fighting to forage. Neither letting up or showing even a hint of security.

Realising her opponent decided to mimic the arms raised stance, Dawn was curious enough to invite Morgan in a horn locking contest. "Grhhhhhhhhh..." The blonde growled as while she didn't cower, Morgan's strength caused her to hunch over. Realising that the purplette could overpower in little time, Dawn needed to disengage and counter in some manner. Purposely leaning back to feign a disadvantage, the blonde then suddenly hopped up for further height, trying to catch Morgan by the waist with both feet.

If the fellow lightweight wasn't able to react to the new situation in time, Dawn shifted her weight further so she would fall backfirst towards the mat, taking her opponent along for the ride. Just as they were about to make impact, Dawn's legs pushed up to possibly flip Morgan past the Canadian for a Monkey flip

Pushing against Dawn, Morgan could feel that she was gaining an upper hand over her, and she would try to keep it up, hoping that she could overpower her opponent. With Dawn leaning back as she pushed against her, Morgan was planning to keep pushing until she overwhelmed her with her strength. Unfortunately for Morgan, it was nothing but a ruse from her opponent, as she suddenly leaped up and got her legs around her waist. Caught off-guard by this, Morgan struggled to regain her bearing, and the reserved purplette let out a shriek of surprise.

"Uwahh!!"

While Dawn was still latched on her, she then purposely fell down onto the mat, back first, bringing Morgan with her. On her way down, Dawn pushed her legs up and sent Morgan up. Unable to process what was happening, Morgan was flipped over her opponent, who monkey flipped her into the mat. "NGHH!!" She winced in pain as she landed harshly on the mat with her back. She was left stunned and confused, leaving herself open for further attacks from her opponent.

The idea she couldn't easily overpower was registered in Dawn's mind for the time being. No matter the shape or size, manipulating one's strength against them proved to be effective enough. Morgan fell right into the blonde's trap and unable to adjust towards being clamped on, allowing the monkey flip to proceed. From this point she was able to discern what her opponent sounded. Even if the purplette was just recoiling in response to fear and slight injury, it felt pleasing to hear what resembled a puppy's squeal.

Lying on her back only temporarily, Dawn's legs dropped so her heels grazed the canvas, compressing downwards to easily support herself back to a standing front. Slithering to where Morgan's head lied, she grouched down to snake her arm around the fellow wrestler's neck, forcing the stunned young woman to sit up. Moving her hands down, the blonde tried sneaking her left arm under the respective shoulder. Dawn's free arm would seize Morgan's left, trying to forcibly fold and pressurise it against the lightweight's mouth for a little Cobra Clutch.

Morgan groaned after she landed on her back thanks to Dawn's monkey flip earlier. She tried to regain her bearing, hoping to recover and push herself back up, but her opponent had decided to capitalize on this as she got her arm around her neck and put her into a seated position before putting her into a cobra hold, causing Morgan to gasp out, feeling herself trapped in the hold.

Having difficulty to breathe, Morgan tried to shift the position of her legs so that she could press the flat of her feet on the canvas, though for the time being, she still remained in the hold, and the longer she remained in it, the weaker she would become, and she had to be quick to find a way out of this, or else she might be in a much bigger problem.

After the initial ambush, Dawn must exploit a specific weakspot until fleeing was left impossible. Thanks to the newly applied Cobra Clutch, it would take greater physical effort for Morgan to escape from this sort of dilemma. The blonde tried to assert further control by trying to squat down as her body can allow, making it more difficult for the purplette to escape.

Her opponent proved to be diligent enough to at least adjust her position, therefore Dawn had to transition to other approaches if she wanted to keep Morgan down for longer. Taking a few steps so she would be standing besides her opponent while hold was still applied, Dawn leapt forward, attempting to fall into a sitting position while driving Morgan facefirst into the mat for a cobra clutch bulldog. If she managed to land this hit, she wouldn't waste time rolling the lightweight onto her back.
