Name: Kairi Yoshinari
Nickname: The Daughter of the Ocean
Age: 23
Hair Color: Blue
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 181cm/5'11
Weight: 185lbs/84kg
Alignment: Babyface
Nationality: Japanese
Preferred matches: Submission matches, mat wrestling, grappling-oriented bouts in general. Hates anything involving weapons or matches that are too gimmicky. Is fine with lewd matches as long as there is still a grappling aspect.

Fighting Style:

The first thing that stands out about Kairi is that she is tall and has a muscular build, a lifetime of hard work and perseverance has gifted her with great strength and a sturdy body that makes up the foundation of her capabilities. She is strong even for a woman of her size and can lift just about any fighter in LAW and either slam them about or bend them like a straw; she is only outdone in strength by outright giants, but she is never outshined in endurance. Kairi is hardy and can take a hit better than most fighters in LAW, any move that doesn't outright knock her out won't keep her down for more than a few seconds and she's been known to simply tank through her opponent's blows so that she can grab a hold of them and counter.

There's more to Kairi than just her strength though, she's a talented grappler with a prodigious grasp on wrestling holds, in particular power-based holds like Bearhugs or Torture Racks; if she can get her hands on you and start squeezing or wrenching then you're in for a world of hurt, and there's few women who can withstand her submissions for long. She favours power-based submissions over more technical ones because she prefers a more simple approach, but she has knowledge of all kinds of holds and can apply more complex holds if she chooses to as well as knowing how to counter most holds her opponents will use on her.

Signature moves:

-Harpoon: Her name for a Spear. A high impact move that often takes those who think a girl her size can't move fast off guard. Can be used normally or as a counter to high flying opponents.

-White Whale: A Full Nelson, one of her favourite holds. She uses it to wear down her opponent, as it's not exactly a match ender. Will often follow it up with a Suplex.

Finishers:

-Tsunami: Her main throw-based finisher, a Jackhammer. This is her go-to move for when she wants to keep someone down for a pin count rather than making them tap out.

-Ocean Rider: Her strongest submission hold, a Canadian Backbreaker that she uses when she wants a surefire victory. With her immense strength and stamina she can keep it locked in until the victim either taps out or passes out.

Personality:

Kairi is known and loved for her bright and enthusiastic personality. She can always be seen with a big smile on her face and she radiates an infectious joy wherever she goes; it's hard not to at least crack a smile in her presence. Growing up poor taught the young woman the importance of humility, she doesn't let her physical gifts get to her head and she is always thankful for the good things in her life. It also instilled in her a firm belief in the importance of hard work; she puts diligent effort into any endeavour she strives towards and doesn't believe in taking things easy or taking shortcuts to reach her goals. She respects anyone who has a strong work ethic, be they strong or weak, but she hates cheaters and looks down on lazy people.

Kairi also has a competitive streak, her hard-working tendencies lead her to want to test herself in physical competition against others with strong bodies like her own. She sees it as a way of proving that her efforts have paid off by contesting against the efforts of someone else and coming out on top, which is why she loves wrestling so much. Because of this mindset and her enthusiastic nature Kairi gives every match her all, whether it's just a simple spar or a title bout she gives it 100 percent, often to the point of overdoing it and coming off as more aggressive than she really is. In spite of that though she is a loveable girl, albeit one you probably don't want to be sharing a ring with.

History:

Kairi was born from humble beginnings, her father and mother ran a fishing business together and they often barely made enough to put food on the table. Despite this Kairi was happy growing up, her parents were loving and taught her to appreciate what little she did have, so even though she was aware of what she was lacking she was still content. But while Kairi herself was happy she would start to become aware of how hard her parents had to work to keep her fed and clothed as she grew older, a task that grew more and more difficult as she hit her growth spurts and began to inherit her fathers height and build.

As she entered her teen years she took it upon herself to help her parents with their business, going with her father on his fishing trips to assist him. At first she was just put to work on simple non-laborious jobs like fixing holes in nets or handing out water to the workers, but as she grew bigger and it was clear she could handle them she was given harder tasks, which combined with her growing body made Kairi unusually strong for a woman her age. By the time she was a highschool senior she was doing just as much work as her fellow fishermen, who themselves were burly adult men, and was even outperforming most of them.

Around this time Kairi started doing muscle training at the gym, reasoning that by growing stronger she would be able to do more and better work which would allow her to support her parents even more. At first her desire to help her parents was her sole motivation, though as time went on she would find herself actually coming to greatly enjoy the process of working out, which would keep her coming back again and again. Having grown up with the importance of work ethic being instilled in her she enjoyed being able to easily see the payoff for her hard work, it gave her immense satisfaction. These factors combined ended up turning the young woman's interest into an obsession, one that would shape her future forever.

As time passed and Kairi grew stronger she became more and more eager to prove her strength to others, as doing so enforced her belief that her hard work was paying off, which led her to start challenging her fellow gym-goers to friendly competitions so that she could test her strength against theirs. Anything from weight lifting to push ups to racing, if you thought you were better than her at it and were willing to put that claim to the test she would accept any challenge and bruise your ego with a smile.

One day she met a wrestler at her gym who was looking for a sparring partner, and in Kairi's eagerness for competition she would agree to the spar despite her lack of fighting experience, thinking that her strength would be able to at least partially make up for it. Instead Kairi would be shocked to find out that although she had the size advantage she was completely outmatched in every area besides raw power, and despite being smaller her opponent was still able to lift Kairi all the way off the ground and slam her back down! After spending a few minutes getting thoroughly thrashed Kairi would immediately start asking the woman all about wrestling, if being a wrestler meant competing against such an amazing athletes then Kairi wanted to know all about it!

After interrogating the wrestler for all her information Kairi began to form a genuine interest in Pro Wrestling, which was an unusual feeling for the Bluenette. For her whole life her only desire was to help her parents and support the family business, she'd never put any thought into what she wanted to do with her life and had always thought it went without saying that she would take over from her father. At first she intended to supress these thoughts and continue to focus on her duty to her family, but the more she thought about it the more appealing it seemed to her. She had the physique for wrestling and then some, and if she could make it big then she'd make enough money that her parents wouldn't need to work anymore.

Eventually she would bring up the idea to her parents, and after getting their approval she would sign up for a wrestling school with her parents savings. With her already being an incredible athlete right from the start she would quickly stand out among her fellow students, and she would quickly prove to be a natural at grappling techniques on top of that. A few months later she would make her wrestling debut in a local indie show, and like a bolt of lightning she would make short work of the competition, racking up win after win and building a reputation as an unstoppable force. After two years of touring the Japanese indie scene she would finally get her big break after meeting a LAW talent agent, who was quickly able to get her to sign up after showing her how much winning a LAW match paid.
