She was born in Inverness to a Scottish Mother a history teacher and a Norwegian father who wrestled around Europe before settling down and marrying her mother in Scotland. Hazel grew up heavily interested in nature, Scottish and Norse Mythology and cultures, and wrestling. Her father would often take her to indie shows even if he wasn't wrestling that night after seeing how much she loved it since the first time she saw it on television. Hazel also took to fantasy books and games early in life finding their lore and stories interesting her entire life. Hazel was a pretty alright student in most classes but didn't exactly care for it unless she found the subject interesting. In middle school she joined her school's wrestling team, her father showed her some grappling techniques at home that she used to excel in competition. Sure it wasn't the same professional wrestling she saw on television but it was a start and gave her a sport to compete in and a way to burn energy, not to mention it was just another reason to start working out.
After several medals and trophies by the time she graduated from school, Hazel decided it was time to take things up a notch and talked to her dad about showing her the ins and outs of pro wrestling! Knowing his daughter's interest in it he was a little surprised she didn't ask sooner and agreed. Hazel trained hard for a year, not just in wrestling but her body. She was already in great shape but a year of even harder work only made it much better. After a year of training, Hazel debuted for an indie promotion she had watched since she was a kid and one that her father had many matches for. Her debut was nothing unique, a back-and-forth against a slightly smaller woman but it wasn't exactly David and Goliath. Hazel eventually lost the match thanks to a missed kick and a quick roll-up, even though she lost the match a few in the crowd still cheered for her but it was obviously a lot of work to do. Going back and training with her father for a few more months she returned to the Indies. Though this time her Mom and Dad gifted her an attire they had made seeing how she loved both different cultures especially Norse and Scottish and they thought the attire would demonstrate both adequately. Seeing her attire that made her think of the Vikings gave her an idea and she quickly put on a bit of face paint that made her appear like a warrior in a way.
Her second match showed her improvement and she seemed to outdo her opponent on every level the crowd seemed to like her way more with most of them cheering her name. After this second match, Hazel decided to pursue wrestling as a career and appeared in the Indies nearly weekly traveling around the entire United Kingdom! After a few years of this, the big leagues came knocking and scouting the UK Indies with Hazel seemingly getting a lot of their interest and offering her a contract. A contract Hazel jumped at the chance of signing, it would bring her out of the country for the first time and that alone was exciting but larger crowds, better pay, a chance to show the world what she could do? It was perfect!
