Wrestling Information
"It's a new day, LAW. Take care not to get burned."

Style: Big Hit Hunter (Muay Thai + Judo + Strong Style Puroresu) - Darina is tenacious in her pursuit of a decisive blow, that one shining moment where the match swings in her favor for good. She believes that fans of LAW's Heavyweight Division deserve more than just "big meaty women slapping meat," and she's gonna be the one to deliver it to them. Her weapon of choice is an onslaught of relentless strikes. As a world-class Muay Thai expert, her arsenal is loaded with all sorts of punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, which she effortlessly combines into a whirlwind that is equal parts high-octane and fluid.

Make no mistake, though: Darina is hardly a one-trick pony. At every stage of her career, she's adapted her game. When she took up MMA, she learned Judo so she could take the initiative in the ground game and position herself to do some real damage to an opponent's face. As she moves to LAW, Darina has taken up a few of the more powerful techniques from professional wrestling, particularly strong style but other styles as well. Slowly but surely, she's learning how to chain together powerful slams, leveling lariats, and upending throws along with more familiar techniques. Still, moves more unique to pro wrestling such as aerial maneuvers, high-speed acrobatics, or anything that uses the ropes beyond a simple rebound aren't quite in her bag yet.

In a match, Darina is laser-focused on reaching the high that comes with putting an opponent down. Thankfully, she doesn't need to toe the line between playing to the moment and winning the match. She just lets her rockin' body, explosive fighting style, and blazing personality do all the work. By the time all is said and done, the other chick will be flat on the canvas and Darina will be celebrating with her fans.

Strengths: Darina's number one strength is her ability to deliver a dynamite blow at any moment. Each of Muay Thai's eight limbs has been honed to a deadly degree; her elbows and knees are especially powerful. Darina's blows come out fast and can leave an opponent unconscious before they even know what's happening. That strength also helps her land sudden slams, tosses, and throws.

She's also quick on her feet, and not just for her size. Her background in Muay Thai allows her to bob, weave, sway, and spin with the best of them. This allows her to dodge attacks and string together some of her own with ease.

Finally, Darina is a student of the game. Her fight sense is impeccable, and she wants to know how to pick apart any opponent. As a result, she's confident that she's prepared counters for many of pro wrestling's more common tactics. Expect aerial attacks to be met with uppercuts or sidesteps, failing to trap her arms during a hold will only result in a swift clubbing across the face, and don't even think about telegraphing your attack from a mile away.

Weaknesses: As prepared as Darina is, no plan survives first contact with the enemy. More creative, unorthodox, or illegal styles can surprise her. Unfortunately for her, those are pretty common in pro wrestling. For example, most martial arts acknowledge the simple truth that the best defense against an armed opponent is to run. As a result, Darina is at a disadvantage when weapons come out. Similarly, the most agile in LAW might be able to attack from angles that Darina hasn't even thought of. There's a whole universe of fighting styles in LAW, and while Darina is well equipped to face many, there are plenty that will surprise her.

Darina's ground game could use some work. She focused more on the "throw you on the ground hard" part of judo than the "twist you up" part. She's done enough mat work to survive but not much more. If her opponent takes the initiative or is a strong submission specialist, she might be in trouble. Her primary defense against a submission attempt is to bash their head in with an odd-angled strike before they can lock it in. Her second option is to use her brute strength, whether by standing for a slam or just prying the hold apart. If those fail, you might have a win on your hands.

Signature Moves:
Spot Moves
Impact Hazard
A snappy name for any of Darina's Muay Thai elbows, delivered at a moment's notice. Designed to be used either to cap off a combo or as a quick counter to stop an opponent's spot in its tracks. In this way, it's similar to the Bull Hammer or Hidden Blade, just with a more martial artsy sort of elbow.
Meteor Shower
A swift combo stringing together an elbow thrust, clinching knee lift, and a Superman punch.
Image
Gravity Well
A Kitchen Sink, usually delivered as a favorite counter against a running opponent. Darina sidesteps the opponent before firing her knee across their body and popping them up into the air. From there, they unceremoniously fall onto the canvas. Bonus points if she can reach between their upturned legs and dunk them on their head.
Image
Solar Flare
A Koko no Geijutsu, known in judo as harai goshi. Darina quickly steps into her opponent, planting a foot in front of their back foot. She then executes a powerful throw with an arm wrapped around the back of their neck. Can be delivered at a standstill or against a running opponent.
Image
RLQ (Radio-Loud Quasar)
A Spinning Backdrop Driver. Standing behind her opponent, Darina hooks one of their arms around herself and picks up a leg. She then spins rapidly, slamming them back-first onto the canvas.
Image
Gamma Ray Burst
A knee to the opponent's gut, followed by a kneeling DDT.
Image
Airburst
From an inverted facelock position, Darina displays her captured opponent to the crowd, often with a taunt or joke. Then she slams her elbow into their solar plexus and lets go, sending them crashing down into the canvas! Can be easily transitioned from a Muay Thai clinch.
Image
Hentai Spot Moves (all NSFW)
Two-Body Problem
After a piledriver or similar move, Darina holds the opponent neck-first against the mat and eats them out. She also slips her hands around the opponent's body to play with their nipples.
Image
Tidal Lock
From back control, Darina spreads the opponent's legs wide with her own and controls their arms with one hand. From there, she gropes the opponent's breasts. Darina can transition into this from a variety of positions in back control, such as from an RNC with body scissors.
Image
Finishers
Starmaker
A ripcord lariat followed by a short arm elbow to the head. After hitting the ripcord lariat, Darina continues to hold the opponent by their wrist. Her free hand comes down, crossing with her other in an "X" shape at her waist. As they (hopefully) dangle lifelessly, Darina pulls the the opponent back in, knocking them out with a powerful reverse upwards elbow!
Image
Image
Daybreaker
A cross arm suplex followed by a kamigoye.
Image
Twilight (Submission)
A Schultz Choke. A front headlock delivered from sprawl, where Darina wraps her arm up and around an opponent's neck before cinching in the choke.

Biographical Information
“I'm the best at what I do, and what I do is nice as hell.”

Personality: For someone so straightforward, Darina's a pretty polarizing figure. Whether she's got a self-confident swagger or an arrogant, punchable face, whether she's having fun in the ring or just showboating, whether her sportsmanship is real or fake… It all depends on your perspective. One thing's for certain, though: Darina knows damn well what she's good at and is more than happy to show anyone who needs a reminder. The hard-hitting world of combat sports is her North Star, and she shines her brightest under it.

Everything about her does, too. The octagon amps every last bit of Darina up to 11, so that's the best place to get to know her – if you can stay standing, that is. Darina is a bona-fide glory hound, born to be in the spotlight, and in her world, there's nothing brighter than the stage lights above a ring. And when it's time for those lights to go out for the poor schmuck across from her? Well, the crowd is her stellar core, and the moment is all the spark she needs to ignite. What better than a massive blow to bring the house – and her opponent – all the way down? Before the body even hits the ground, she'll be screaming her head off, pumping her fists before going arms akimbo, like a gladiator receiving the adulation of her fans. In her heart of hearts, she'll have known that was always how it was gonna go down, but goddamn will it feel good.

It's not all limelights and lay-outs, though. Darina has a healthy respect for the sport beyond just the gamesmanship and theatrics. She's the kind to help someone up after bashing their skull in and thank them for the match as they stumble to their locker room. Her trash talk, while loud, is rarely personal; she'd much rather tell everyone how she's gonna put you to sleep than put an ounce of effort towards hating you.

And that's the thing: She is gonna tell everyone that she'll put you to sleep. Because she knows that her fighting style is the best there is – not just at knocking girls out, either. No, the truth is that Daybreaker-style Muay Thai is also the most exciting fighting anyone will ever see. Telling the crowd what they want to hear isn't showboating if she can back it up. It's just… getting the people going. Making sure everyone has a good time.

Of course, even someone like Darina can't be at 110% all the time, and outside the ring, Darina can let her hair down and relax a little. Without a crowd or match to feed off of, she goes from downright boisterous to merely outgoing. Her imposing, aggressive surety cools into a self-assured swagger, and her

All that goes out the window, however, as soon as a match begins. At that point, Darina is all business.

And business is good.

Biography: With a name like Terranova, you could say Darina was destined to explore the stars. After all, her mother did just that as an astrophysicist at the University of Hawaii, and Dr. Terranova gave Darina every opportunity to follow in her footsteps. They hiked together up and down Hawaii's mountains, stargazing and visiting its many observatories.

As much as Darina found calm in the wonder of those moments, however, she was always a rambunctious girl. She bounced off the walls everywhere she went, and she often came home from school with notes describing the latest trouble she'd gotten into – or worse, bruises from a schoolyard scrap. She usually wasn't the one who'd picked the fights, but she'd still been involved in far too many for her parent's liking.

So her parents decided to enroll her in martial arts. They knew their daughter too well to think that it'd help burn her excess energy or serve as an outlet for her aggression, but if she was going to fight, she might as well do it right. The Terranovas also hoped that proper martial arts training would teach Darina when to fight and how to avoid it.

The Terranovas eventually settled on a local Muay Thai dojo, owing to the martial art's historical focus on precision and self-control under duress. Unfortunately, as Darina got into the sport, what she learned most was how frickin' awesome it felt to bash her elbow into someone's nose.

At least she was good at what she did. Like, really good. It wasn't long until a teenage Darina was asked to represent her dojo at amateur competitions. She hit her growth spurt, and combined with her enthusiasm for the sport, Darina went from local to regional to state competitions – and even a few on the mainland!

As she rose up the ranks, the crowds got bigger… and louder. Hype started to build around a blonde from Honolulu, built like a brick house with strikes twice as strong as anyone else's. Whenever she stepped in the ring, heads would turn, and when she inevitably put her opponent down? People went crazy.

Finally, Darina went pro. Scouts from mid-sized MMA promotions around the world came calling, practically falling over themselves to throw a bag at her. The Daybreaker, as she came to be known, drifted around the scene, picking up knockouts wherever she went. She became a rising star in the world of MMA, owing to her good looks and stunning finishes.

However, she never committed to one promotion for too long, preferring to travel the world. Nor did she ever make the big show, despite clearly having enough ability to do so. Speculation grew: Where would Darina Daybreak go next? When would she make the jump to an elite promotion?

Imagine the MMA world's surprise when she announced that her next destination wasn't UFC, Bellator, or any combat sports promotion, but instead a rapidly-growing professional wrestling league called LAW…

Fun Facts:
  • Darina's professional record in MMA is 19-2, with 14 wins by knockout, 3 by submission, and 2 by decision. For context, that W/L ratio is fairly strong for a fighter her age who's fought in more well-regarded promotions, but her high finish rate has earned her a loyal following.
  • Darina's mother is an astrophysicist with an expertise in stellar astrophysics. Darina's father, a first-generation Ukrainian American who runs a local chain of diners, took his wife's surname.
  • After MMA, Darina's favorite sport is basketball. Jordan is her GOAT, and she has Kobe in her top 10. You can fight her if you disagree.
  • Darina is a huge Pokemon fan, and she has a massive collection of cute Poke-plushies. She was only able to bring a few dozen to Japan, but first to be packed away was her life size Goodra beanbag.
  • Outside of the ring, Darina enjoys hiking, working out, watching astronomy documentaries, playing casual single-player video games, listening to rap, and exploring Tokyo.
