As a child, Hotaru grew up as a fairly rowdy girl, she got into tiny scraps and roughhousing sessions with other guys and even girls that were bigger than her. Not even her family was entirely safe as she often sparred with her young cousin Akari when they practiced their karate together. Given the fact that she was gifted with the utmost best that her family's genetics had to offer, she often won most fights and scuffles she got into. Eventually, she needed to properly conduct herself to avoid becoming a problem child. So she started to channel all that raw talent, natural strength, and fiery passion into the world of athletics. Volleyball, soccer, basketball, karate, and so much more...She grew up using her gifts to better herself, applying her rough-and-tough nature to more positive outlets, bringing glory and honor to her family in the forms of trophies, medals, and other such accolades. Despite the great triumphs in the athletics department and the modest success in the more traditional school subjects, Hotaru was set for a prime sports scholarship of her choosing.
However, it wasn't until after graduating college with a degree in sports medicine and playing for a well-known women's basketball team overseas that she realized her problem. She wasn't really enjoying ANY of this anymore. The accolades, the cheers, the action...it was all known to her at this point. The spark had faded, and everything had become bland and uninteresting. From the greatest highs to the most painstaking lows, sports and fitness as a whole slowly became uninteresting to Hotaru. Even training and drill work had lost their appeal. She had gone camping with a few good friends of hers as a way to get away from everything during the off-season, and that's when she was introduced to the concept of professional wrestling. During a moment of good company, great conversation, a roaring fire pit, and some cheap alcohol, a friend of Hotaru's had mentioned having tickets to an upcoming indie promotion's special event that featured up-and-coming rookies. Pro-wrestling? That thing non-athletes do in bikinis and tights? Such a concept seemed to completely bounce off of Hotaru's more serious demeanor at the time, but due to the effects of the alcohol loosening her inhibitions up and with a bit of coaxing from her friends, she eventually agreed to tag along.
A few weeks later, they were attending the event and to her surprise, Hotaru was finding herself being slowly enraptured with the outstanding levels of athleticism and charm that the rookies were showing despite being a little stand-offish at first. It all came to a close with a spectacular main event featuring a bombastic finish by a girl under the moniker of 'Sea Turtle'...when the announcer called the victor of the match, Hotaru's world spun around wildly. The winner's name was Akari Ito...
Akari...Ito...HER LITTLE COUSIN!?! She hadn't seen her since she graduated high school...THIS is what she was doing with her life between school? After meeting her backstage, Hotaru and her cousin caught up on missed time, Akari detailing all of her amazing experiences in pro-wrestling. A week later, Hotaru couldn't get the thought of pro-wrestling out of her head, it was all she thought about. The lights, the action, the fighting, the cheering, the passion...it was EXACTLY the boost she needed. She slowly felt that rowdy side of her seeping back out and with a fire lit inside her heart, she approached Akari one weekend and asked her to teach her how to become a professional wrestler. With a bit of pleading, Akari buckled and gave her older cousin the basics, but in order for Hotaru to actually become a wrestler, it'd have to be a commitment she makes all on her own. Akari pointed her in the direction of a fairly well-known wrestling school and Hotaru applied shortly after.
It didn't take long for her to be accepted, she was already incredibly notorious for her athletic ability, and to turn her away would be a death sentence to the reputation of any school she applied to. She already had more than enough value in terms of physical attributes, she just needed the in-ring skill and the presentation part. With some help from Akari and a select few others from that school, her persona came to fruition...Tokyo's Hellcat had been born. Shortly into the start of her career, Hotaru began taking the indie heavyweight scene by storm, crashing into the main event scene at a promotion, and setting herself on a fast track toward a position at LAW just months into her amateur career. With the passion and drive having been restored into her heart and soul, Hotaru was fueled to push forward and make her claim to fame, besting opponent after opponent until the day arrived when a LAW scout offered her a hefty contract. Without a second thought, she signed it and packed her bags with a gleeful smile on her face and a ferocious fire in her eyes...Tokyo's Hellcat was coming to LAW.
Personality: After discovering what an amazing outlet pro-wrestling was for her, Hotaru found herself slipping free from the professional and serious shackles she had put on herself at a young age. She became very outspoken and energetic. She had finally found that spark again and it showed, she was tapping into her rowdier side, her love for the fight and all the thrill and pain that came with it. For Hotaru to see all of these larger-than-life personalities on display, it had given her full confidence that she didn't need to hide who she was deep down. Though she wears a mask while she fights, it's ALL for show purposes as she's a woman who flaunts what she has and says what she likes. With an attitude as fiery and passionate as her newfound drive for wrestling, Hotaru is always prepared to turn up the heat.

Strategy: Hotaru's main goal lies in punishing and pummeling her opponent into dust until they've suffered enough to the point where they can resist no longer, leaving them at the brink of consciousness, trapping them in a paralysis-like state of "hell" so that all they can do is painfully lie down as they hear the referee's count go until the bell rings.
Preferred Attacks: Slams, Punches, Elbows, Kicks, Knees, Chops, Running Moves, Tackles, Hip Attacks/Thrusts, Drops/Drivers. Additionally, she can use her detachable tail as a chain-like object in No DQ matches as a way to tie up and/or choke opponents.
