Nana is a kind woman with a strong sense of justice. She believed that a true hero should smile, no matter how grim the situation. Nana values Bravery and happiness above all else. Furthermore, Nana was a loving mother to her son before leaving him with other family. She was compassionate, nurturing, and supportive of him. A difficult decision that still brings her tears to this day. Nana lives and die by the idea of a hero. Wanting to be a role model for everyone that does not have one.

Nana’s story is not unlike many others. Born and raised into a normal Japanese family, her father was not present often. Spending more time overseas for work as opposed to being home. Leaving Nana with her mother most of the time. The two had a great relationship and were tied hip to hip. Nana looked up to her mother, she was loved in the community, she was loving, she was compassionate, she was caring. But something inside Nana wanted more. Kids often look to their role models to get an idea of what they want to be in the future. As much as she loved her mother, being a housewife was not Nana’s end goal. Even if that was expected of her as a Japanese woman. Nana wasn’t sure what she wanted, but Nana was sure that what she wanted was to be something big. But that is very vague so Nana didn’t even know where to start. Nana was always considered a tomboy growing up. Not things that stereotypically a girl would like. Instead opting to find more enjoyment in what boys like doing. As young boys naturally liked to do, they rough housed often. Seeing as how Nana was already more on the boy side of the spectrum. She would also be rough housing. Though more often than not boys would not want to do so against Nana. Reasons being that, boys did not want to hurt a girl, and no boy wanted to be the one that lost to a girl. Yet in the few occasions where the boys did not listen to reason Nana would win. Having fun all the same. Two of the boys going at it would be recreating a wrestling match unbeknownst to Nana. When she asked them what they were doing, the boys responded by showing Nana the match.
It was there were Nana found her passion. To Nana there was no deeper meaning, all of these interesting characters fighting against each other. It is hard for any child to not find themselves caring about it. Overcome with joy Nana would come home telling her mother all about it. Nana’s mother would listen and be happy that her daughter found something to make her this happy. Yet she knew that Nana’s dream would have to crumble at some point. “There is no way a woman can wrestle, that is a man’s world” She thought to herself. But for now she would allow her daughter to dream. Silently Nana’s mother would try to move her away from that dream. To very little success as children can be very stubborn. Nana would start to emulate what she would see from the wrestlers. Creating her own characters and putting them against each other. The dolls that were gifted to her were used for that same purpose. Despite the many attempts to stall her daughters dream. Nana’s mother could not seem to do so. It was when Nana’s father finally came home from a trip. Upon hearing of such things, he was confused to hear that Nana would want something like that. He knew that Nana was more boyish than a girl her age should be. But this was to far for his liking. For those unaware Nana’s father was a traditionalist to a fault. In his mind, Nana’s life had already been plotted out. So his attempts would be rather aggressive.
Not one to be stopped Nana still continued on her path. As she gained more autonomy with age, she would begin going to the gym. As to be a wrestler she would need a body suited for that. Watching as their daughter was becoming some muscled fighter. The attempts stop Nana would become more and more frequent. Nana herself didn’t blame or hate her parents. She understood why they were doing this. As the old saying goes, “You can’t teach a old dog new tricks” Seeing Nana pursue a path meant for a man was something they could not comprehend. Therefore she would make them comprehend by showing them the results. All while keeping good grades and keeping good relationships. Coming to fruition when Nana was given a chance to compete in a wrestling tournament. The winner being given a spot in a well known promotion.
At this point in Nana’s life, her mother had given up trying to stop her. Knowing full well that Nana would meet resistance with even more determination. Her father on the other hand was still resolute in stopping Nana. As it was customary for many Japanese women, they would be subject to an arranged marriage. Nana was not any different. She would be set up to marry a man that her father found more than suitable. Of course Nana denied the marriage, wanting to focus on the tournament. This was the last straw for Nana’s father. Giving her an ultimatum, either marry her betrothed or be disowned from the family. Nana’s mother was against the ultimatum, wanting to find a happy medium between the two. Nana on the other hand knew what choice she had to make. Wishing her parents well and that she would write to them. Nana gathered her things and left home. Now fully resolute on her path. Nana’s path was vague at best and she did not know if it the best one. It could easily go wrong and with no familial support it could turn even worse. Nana never had a hero in her life and now more than ever wished she had one to help her.
That is when everything came into full view. Nana may not have a hero to help her at this uncertain point in her life. But SHE could become that hero for everyone. A hero that helps everyone. Now with her identity secured Nana had her path forward. All that was left was to reach the finish line. The tournament went as many expected, Nana won the even and earned her spot on the promotion.
Due to Nana’s size she was positioned as a heel early on. A heel that the hero characters needed to overcome. But her playing the villain never sat right with her. It never could, people even disliked this version of Nana. With those above her unwilling to change direction. Nana needed to make her own change if she wanted it. So in a unscripted event, where a babyface wrestler was being attacked by a heel stable. Nana would come racing towards his aid and beating down on the heels on her own. Not without sustaining her own injuries, ones that she would hide well enough. Naturally this is something that would get anyone fired. But the audience was fully behind Nana and her show of heroism. It was then when the story was changed for Nana to be the underdog against this heel stable. Of course this was a trial by fire. Still Nana walked out of it a legend to many with her character secured as a hero. A woman who broke the glass ceiling and showed that she or anyone else can compete. Just as she wanted Nana was the hero she wanted to be for so many others. WIth her career following a path she was content with.
Yet a luck would have it, Nana would become pregnant with a nameless wrestler. Rumored to be either a relationship or a simple night of passion. Regardless Nana was going to have this child. But many thoughts weighed on her head. Could she do both? Of course she dedicated her life to wrestling. But this child deserved a loving and most importantly present family there. Not that Nana would ever say it, but she silently wished that her father was home more. Still Nana would refuse to change her life. Wanting to be this pillar of hope for everyone. A decision that very few agree with Nana gave birth to the child, but gave her child to her parents to raise as their own. Of course at this point it would be completely in their right to decline the offer. Nana’s father saw the results of what Nana had done. He apologized for his past, wishing for his daughter to change her course. Still resolute Nana disagreed. Leaving her child with her parents. Now he would have a loving family that would always be there for him. Nana loved the child as any parent would. Even now she would lay down her life for him. But she would not abandon her station as a hero for all.
Now that hero was ready to shine bright in L.A.W and show everyone what she has to offer.

Now that Nana is older than what she was. Transitioning her style to a power build. Nana much rather prefers a power contest. Resting on her experience to help her with younger wrestlers hoping to over power her. In all actuality Nana ramps up during a match becoming more and more difficult to deal with. Outside of that Nana goes with the flow and even encourages her opponent to go with the style that best suits them. As opposed to trying to match Nana
