Backstory: Fluttershy has always been an introvert. Preferring not to interact with people, mainly because she is too nervous around them. So FLuttershy would try to hide herself from people. So they would not interact with her. As life would have it though Fluttershy was born exceptionally large so that made hiding away exceptionally hard. Though from being such a kind person she naturally drew people to her dismay. One of those people being Rainbow Dash. At first Fluttershy tried to move Rainbow Dash away from her. But Rainbow Dash being who she is stuck to FLuttershy saying she was interesting. Eventually Fluttershy would stop trying to push Rainbow Dash away. Accepting her as a friend. Showing Rainbow Dash her garden which she loves talking about. Along with her love of animals. Even though two are complete opposites from each other. Fluttershy considered Rainbowdash someone close to her. Rainbow is always pushing Fluttershy to do things she normally would never think of. Like going to parties that would give Fluttershy a panic attack, or doing karaoke in which they found out, not surprisingly that Fluttershy has stage fright. Shopping for clothes to show off her style. Normally Fluttershy would express her dismay over these tasks. But doing them with Rainbow Dash she had fun doing them. Genuine fun, at least after the fact. It took a while but Fluttershy began to notice that she was holding Rainbow Dash back from doing the things she likes. Just to be with and help Fluttershy. This made her immensely sad and wasn’t sure how to fix it. Slowly but surely after coming to terms with that. Fluttershy began to exhibit some of Rainbow Dash's qualities in herself. Like becoming more competitive and assertive with things she likes. Fluttershy has always been the one to avoid confrontation. For example if someone skips her in line Fluttershy will apologize for being in their way. Knowing that is the type of person she is. One day Fluttershy was being confronted by some thugs that were calling her names and such. While slowly getting angry on the inside Fluttershy just hoped the situation would end. Until they mentioned her friend in which she blew up with anger. Rainbow Dash catching the aftermath of her anger. Somewhat surprised and scared she thought to herself what if Fluttershy just holds back her assertive nature. With that in mind Rainbowdash thought of plans to “unleash” it. TO her the best way she could come to it is that fights like the one Fluttershy was in. So Rainbow Dash signed her friend up to a gym, the same one she goes to. Thinking this will help her. On the first day it was more of Fluttershy being herself. Nervous to even pump iron or hit a heavy bag. It would be like that for a few days. Rainbow knew that she needed something else to trigger it. So on the next day the two went to the gym Rainbowdash told Fluttershy to think of people destroying her garden. Fluttershy before she met Rainbow Dash likely would have cried at the prospect of her garden getting destroyed. Now with new influences Fluttershy was able to let loose on the heavy bag. Fluttershy oddly enough found herself having fun with this. Taking this another step forward Rainbow Dash would start to set up spars for her friends. Thinking that is the last thing she needs to break out of her shell. Making sure everyone would be alright. Rainbow Dash made sure that they were tag team matches. Not like Fluttershy needed the help Rainbowdash found out. With Fluttershy handling the matches by herself rather convincingly. With more and more fights Rainbow Dash eventually would hear Law call her name. Fluttershy wanting to be with her friend and maybe pursue this joined along with her.
Though Rainbow Dash makes a note to tell her opponents not to anger Fluttershy too much or she becomes something like the hulk. Something she lovingly calls “FlutterHulk” which she gets mad like the monster and stronger.
