Initially upon coming to LAW Artemis had a calm and steely cool personality. Completely focused and driven on having a successful career free of distractions. A major tenant of this drive being a cut off on the majority of her intimate emotions, especially that of lust and love, those latter feelings being something she’s often repressed since childhood. Something she thought would be necessary given the type of things she knew were common in LAW.
However… this thought process ended up back firing on her, and after certain events relating to opponents using sexual tactics against her, embarrassment and humiliation in matches from both opponents and fans, along with her tendency to bottle these types of emotions up… Well after a while Artemis kind of… snapped.
The flood gate on her libido and desire for intimacy opened leading her to becoming a whole new woman. Artemis grew up a military brat having been born to two women, a captain in the Canadian armed forces and a wealthy athlete turned actress, leading her to have a well off but disciplined life. Expecting to go into the military like her mother she would work out frequently and often go out hunting becoming quite the dead eye. However her other mom the athlete and actress was admittedly concerned about the lifestyle military service instilled and thus tried to very low key convince Artemis of a career outside of it, particularly sports or entertainment such as herself.
However these efforts proved fruitless over the years until Artemis was seventeen. While on a family outing with her family Artemis witnessed a pro wrestling event in Vancouver. While not especially taken with it at first she found herself gradually warming up as the events took place. Eventually at the main event her actress mother was actually brought down along with her wife to take part in the event in a surprise tag team match that her military captain mother was not privy too. Seeing her mothers compete so suddenly and surprisingly, along with the way they worked so well together, ones strict and regimented military training supplementing for ring work, and the others free spirited and creative ground work was incredible to Artemis as she thought her parents ways of lives were so radically different from each other that shed never see them come together like this.
Eventually it came to a head as her actress mother did an incredible spot leaping off the top rope for an elbow drop that truly captivated Artemis. Her mother had flown! To that day she never really respected her actress mother as much as her military one, but in that moment her other mom was truly the pinnacle of skill and grace in Artemis’s eyes. After winning the match the actress mother had actually taken the chance to surprise her partner with a new ring and vowel renewal in honor of their anniversary, revealing that the entire set up and match was for her military mother who was in fact a huge wrestling fan.
This moment of love, shock and admiration, as well as being brought down to the ring herself to pose with her moms in the ring to the crowds cheers was easily the greatest moment in Artemis’s life and led to her announcing the following day she would be a pro wrestler. So she can bring and eventually find the type of joy her mothers had gotten in their single and only match ever.
Not long after Artemis began training heavily, paying to take wrestling lessons in addition to the physical workout she had already been doing. In time she began tearing through independent leagues throughout Canada and eventually the northeastern united states earning the moniker of ‘The Huntress’ for her articulate and controlled behavior and strategy yet ruthless and brutal ring work. Eventually she got offered a contract for LAW in japan so she took it happily and made the voyage to continue her hunt.
However things have not gone as Artemis had wanted or intended. Despite a successful first two matches that resulted in wins, it wasn’t long before more… opportunistic opponents would find she didn’t handle cheating.. or sexual attacks well. One match after another she was cheated, taken advantage of, humiliated in front of hundreds of people back to back. This naturally began to take its toll on Artemis’s mental state, her confidence in herself gradually waning as she tried her best to suppress the feelings created by them.
However… this along with her stiff and uncompromising mind set in how she approached her matches only worked against her as things in LAW progressed. Her performance in each match got worse and worse, her opponents having easier and easier times defeating her and causing her humiliation to ramp up further and her mental state to worsen further. This all came to a head however in her most recent match with Ichika Uesugi, a violent and sadistic sex fighter that completely and utterly dominated Artemis in every way possible. At her hands Artemis suffered her fastest and most humiliating defeat ever. Unlike before however where she merely tried to keep her chin up and push past it… she just couldn’t.
That night… and the whole weekend after she had a series of mental breakdowns in her apartment, lamenting over what in her mind was a total failure of a career, what had led to it, and… how amazing the feelings Ichika and others brought about despite how humiliating it was. By the end of it… she emerged with a smile. A wide, twisted smile that wouldn’t leave. In this time she realized that the reason she failed was because she repressed her urges and desires, ignored them and suffered for them. But now.. now she wouldn’t , never ever again would she deny herself. She would take what she wanted when she wanted, no matter what and she would have FUN while doing so. All semblances of limits or reservations gone from her mind as she let herself go wild to the point of.. concern.
Immediately after her epiphany she went out and participated in all the things she had missed out on for most of her adult life. She partied, had fun, drank, did some things that probably weren’t legal, and of course had sex. Lots of it. Very quickly over the past few weeks her skills in sexual exploits went from zero to a hundred and along with some time in the gym to get herself back into fighting shape after her little.. sabbatical, Artemis is ready to come back. Not only with a new attitude, but an entirely revamped arsenal and look.
