Sally vs Yuki Kazikura

Unread post by RJD »

The blonde did some lax punching drills backstage, occasionally throwing the odd kick in as she waited for her queue to appear before the LAW crowd, she had showed up a little early, and she wasn't the type to sit still.
" Finally! My brand re-debut is here! " Sally said to herself, conviently dismissing the match where she got her ass kicked as she started a monologue.

" So if I win this one, then fry some big fish, that title should be mine in about... 4 matches! " Sally stopped her punching drill to instead count on her fingers. The blonde also didn't know how she was going to get matches with big fish, have any strategy to win her next 4 matches, and didn't even have a specific championship in mind.

Sally having exhausted her patience, turned to a staff member. " Hey miss? How long till I can go out? " Sally asked, and the member of staff simply said that she didn't know, but would give her the signal when it was time. Sally then proceeded to take out her phone and take some pre match selfies, taking a full body one too show off her usual torn Jeans, adorable little headband, and white top, unfortunately her boots didn't fit in the frame, but oh well.

Sally finally got the signal, while looking down at her phone, saving the picture for future use, before shoving her phone in the pocket. The blonde then walked through guerilla position, and flung open the curtains, and raised her fist in the air triumphantly as she appeared on the ramp. Sally's current theme " harder better faster stronger " by daft punk blaring through the arena. The fans hardly reacted, though Sally's enthusiasm alone did cause a slight buzz at least, which was viewed optimistically by the blonde.

" I love you too, my lovely fans! Mwha Mwha! " Sally blowing exaggerated chef kisses to the crowd, before then raising both her arms over her head in a wide arched energetic wave. Finally Sally made her way down to the ring, swaying to the tune of her entrance theme, until she reached the ring and rolled under it, the blonde then going to her corner. Sally waiting excitably to see what kind of woman she was fighting today, thoughts about decisive victories, a triumphant struggle or a potential rival coming out of this match. Sally's imagination running laps, before she had even set eyes on her opponent. All the while Sally played with her small blue armbands.

Sally wouldn't be the only one who was looking at a comeback. Yuki, too, had just returned to the ring after some time off to recover, both physically and mentally, from her crushing defeat against Rose Gold at We Are LAW, but although she was unsure at the time how she was going to bounce back from that, she was pleased to see things looking up. Her first match back had been a close one, but she had still managed to win - and now she was ready to push herself to new and better heights as she sought to prove herself worthy of her spot on the roster. This match, she hoped, would only help cement that she had what it took to stand against anyone.

After Sally was in the ring, the lights dimmed as Yuki's theme music played, shortly before the girl in yellow emerged from the curtains. She raised a hand in the air, drawing a few cheers from the crowd, but had a modest smile on her face all the same. She was confident, but not cocky, and she had never been one to showboat. In this way, Yuki's entrance stood in stark contrast to Sally's, as the lightweight proceeded calmly to the ring, her attention focused only on the woman she would be facing. Once there, she climbed up on the apron and then to the top rope before she jumped down to the mat, giving the onlookers a taste of her high-flying arsenal before the match began.

Yuki then turned to the blonde, studying her opponent. She was unfamiliar with Sally, but she was prepared to give it her all all the same, balling her fists and tensing the muscles in her arms as she took a stance. She still took a short bow, respectfully addressing her opponent. "Let's have a good match," Yuki offered.

Sally yawned as Yuki made her way to the ring, dismissing her opponent as boring from her entrance, till she jumped over the top rope to enter the ring, which woke up the blonde since she found it pretty cool. " Of course we will! The win's mine though girly, don't get it twisted. " Sally claimed confidently, peering over at her opponent with an impish smirk.

Sally would then wait for the bell to ring, before putting her arms up for a test of strength, fidgeting slightly as she waited impatiently. Then once Yuki accepted it Sally would recklessly burst forth with every ounce of strength, not even attempting to feel out her opponent to get a more accurate reading on her strength.

Sally wasn't very strong, but she certainly was enthusiastic and spirited.

" This one's my win! " Sally said, declaring that she was going to be triumphant in the test of strength, such a thing apparently being a massive triumph, or at least it was for the loud mouthed blonde.

Yuki didn't have much to say about how Sally received her entrance. She was keeping a clear mind and readying herself for the match, and she didn't have time to get caught up in what other people would think. Worrying too much about that would only keep her down, when she was doing this for herself. That said, she couldn't help but smirk a little as she saw Sally's eyes widen with interest at the leap she made into the ring. It was vindicating to know even her opponent had the confidence in her...if not the confidence to believe she could win.

Hearing Sally's taunts, Yuki's expression grew cold and stoic, her brows narrowing as she frowned and took a stance. "You're awfully cocky, I see...I can only hope that won't prove your undoing." Already, she could see the contrasts between the two of them. While Yuki was subdued, calculating, and focused, Sally was more cheerful and energized, one to play to the crowd and boast of her accolades. The two seemed like natural rivals, even if they had never met. It would be this match, then, that would determine who could come out on top.

*DING DING DING*

With the sound of the bell, Sally was quick to get into a stance, offering for Yuki to meet her in a test of strength. The Japanese girl was quick to answer her, taking her hands. Though Sally again posited herself as the victor, all Yuki did was roll her eyes and lean in closer to meet her with a shove. Though Yuki wasn't built for brute strength, she was surprised to see that Sally, despite her larger size, wasn't much more powerful, and the force between them as they locked hands and pushed at one another was, at least for now, fairly equal. Yuki grit her teeth, clenching tighter to her opponent's hands and leaning in closer to her as she groaned under her breath. She would see, at least, if Sally's prowess matched her confidence.

Sally would listen to Yuki's response, tapping her foot as she got agitated, almost letting her foe say everything she wanted, but being unable to stop herself from cutting in just before she finished her point.

" Not cocky! Confident. " Sally said, her mind clearing having stuck to the first thing her foe had said, the blonde being quite simple minded after all.

When the bell rang and the pair locked up Sally would put all her might into pushing Yuki, and her face twisted slightly in frustration as she didn't really make much ground. The blonde didn't lose her desire to continue the Lock up though, in fact it fired her up to keep going for all her strength, ignoring the strain her muscles were enduring. Truthfully Sally barely ever underwent strength training, so she likely was about equal or less than her opponent strength wise.

However Sally had the strength of foolish overbearing confidence, and would let out a low maintained grumble of exertion as she did everything she could to get any advantage, hunching over slightly to get her center of gravity closer to the ground, and starting a war of attrition as she refused to back down.

" Don't you... " Sally began to say, as she pushed against her foe, at this point not even aware of where Yuki would end up if she did have to back up.

" Roll your eyes! " Sally finished her point, her exertion carrying over to her voice, but she did try to cover it up by emboldening her voice with aggression, bringing up her deepest conviction from her very core.

Was this hold particularly important? No probably not.
Was Sally going to win the test of strength? It was possible, if Yuki backed down for whatever reason.

Yuki was normally a good-natured girl, if a more introverted one. While it wasn't something she sought out, she had made several friends in the ring over her time in LAW. But even she had her limits, and Sally was testing those. Yuki was perhaps a bit quicker to judge than she usually would here, and she couldn't be sure if that owed to her crushing betrayal at Rose Gold's hands putting her on edge or just that Sally was especially irksome, but the blonde's attitude left a bad taste in Yuki's mouth.

She knew she couldn't let it get to her, and that she had to focus. But Sally wasn't as fearsome a foe as Yuki might have anticipated, either. Though she eclipsed the brunette in size, Sally's weight class didn't seem to translate into physical strength. Yuki wasn't sure why that was, or if she'd have other skills to compensate for it that she was yet to discover. But either way, she couldn't exactly complain when she wasn't immediately at a disadvantage when it came to a test of strength.

Her own teeth clenching as she let out a groan and narrowed her eyes, Yuki mirrored Sally's actions. She leaned in closer, looking to even out the pressure between them as she bent at the knees and brought her upper body forward, her fingers coiling around her opponent's. She didn't take her eyes off Sally for a moment, not even as the blonde taunted her.

"Oh, yeah? Or what?" came Yuki's response, as she leaned in to attempt another push.

" Or...I'll... " Sally said, her voice strained from exertion as she embarrassingly couldn't make the lightweight move, but the blonde wasn't the type to view anything in a negative light, and she had an idea of how to win in this hold.

" Beat you up! " Sally declared, unconvincingly as she struggled to even keep her position now, going on the defensive against her cute little opponent.

Sally would attempt to grab her foe's hands, and squeeze them, before twisting them back somewhat, playing mercy in the ring. The blonde had one more move up her sleeve though, and while her foe was distracted by her hands being wretched backwards somewhat, and squeezed, Sally would pull her head back, before driving it forward and downwards, trying to smack her dome into Yuki's own.

Sally refused to lose the test of strength, even if she technically did lose the actual test of strength.

Yuki dug her ankles into the ground, trying to remain firm. Her composure never broke, no matter how much Sally pushed against her. Even with the test of strength at such a stalemate, she was determined to last as long as it took, to send a message to her foe that she wouldn't allow herself to be trifled with. Her eyes narrowed, her brow furrowed in focus, as she stared unblinkingly at the blonde with an intensity that could drill a hole through her.

However, where Sally couldn't overpower Yuki by brute force, she could at least throw her off her guard. Yuki felt it as Sally's fingers wrapped around her own hands and twisted them back. With such a sudden shift in tactics, the lightweight wondered what she had in mind, and she paused for a moment, pondering what this meant and how she'd need to adjust. She didn't get the memo in time, considering Sally then threw her head forward, smacking it straight into Yuki's!

"YOW-!!" Yuki cried out, letting go of Sally's hands as the blow sent her staggering backward. She clutched her head, doubling over and taking her eyes off Sally as she tried to nurse the pain coursing through her skull.

Sally didn't have a mean glare like Yuki, but she certainly had a hard head, and that worked in her favour as she abandoned the task of winning the test of strength, in favour of getting the advantage however she could.

After head butting the lightweight Sally would attempt to rush forward to close the distance between them, and knock her hard in the chest with a clothesline, the blonde really throwing her whole body into it as she swung hard. If Sally connected though she wouldn't leave it at that, she would lower herself to one knee right as she impacted, and attempt to grab Yuki's hair, to lift her back onto her feet and pull Yuki's head under her arm pit and against her side, trying to coil her arm around her foe's neck and head to restrict her with a headlock.

" And that wasn't even a twentieth of my might! " Sally would comment proudly, despite the fact that she hadn't won the test of strength, and the clothesline relied more on the momentum of her charge than any actual strength.

Yuki had been winded, going staggering back off of the headbutt. While she remained standing, there was no getting around the fact that her head was sore and throbbing, and she couldn't expect to put up much of a fight when she was having trouble focusing on what was around her. It was what Sally did next, as she charged forward and slammed her arm into Yuki's sternum, that took her off her feet. With a scream, she was thrown onto her back, toppling to the ground below.

She wouldn't stay there for long before Sally grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back up. Yuki winced from the pain digging into her scalp, her teeth clenching, but she was still trying to recenter herself after all the trouble she had been dealt. She could only stand staggering and groggy as Sally wrapped her arm around her head, holding fast and muffling her groans and gags.

Sally, it seemed, liked to talk big from how she was taunting her opponent. Yuki, however, wasn't going to let that get to her. She preferred to let her athletic prowess do the talking for her and she wasn't one for boasts. But in order to do that, she would need to reclaim control of her own body. Her hands went to Sally's arm as she tried to push and pull at her elbow to try and extract herself from the headlock.
