Match Scheduled for One Fall, to be Won by Pinfall or Submission
Blanco Sombre shook out the last of his nerves, bouncing on his heels backstage. Tonight’s LAW intergender match featured him against a superstar in the business, and he wanted to make certain that he was on the absolute top of his game. Tonight was the Superestrellas’ first solo match in LAW, and his first time facing a woman who had accomplished great things in her career. He wanted to be more than ready, when he stepped out onto the entrance ramp.
His girlfriend and valet Holly Matheson, however, had reservations. For starters, while Blanco had a dominant record in their previous promotion, Blanco’s opponent tonight was undefeated in two promotions, now. And, Holly would never have admitted it aloud, but she was stunning. A goddess. Watching Blanco pin her down would be great, but she couldn’t help but worry what would happen if he didn’t manage it. Before she could voice those concerns, however, the road agent motioned to Blanco and beckoned him out onto the ramp. The world was ready for his entrance.
The horns of “Does the Lion City Still Roar” blared over the loudspeakers as Blanco Sombre burst onto the entrance ramp. He pointed straight to the hard camera and grinned, the luchador-turned-movie-star knowing exactly how to play to the crowd.
Blanco moved from one side of the ramp to the other, exchanging high-fives with the fans as he moved down the ramp. He paused briefly for selfies with some fans, before looking back over his shoulder. He then waved to Holly, calling her out of the entrance area. Holly joined him, smiling professionally as she walked out in front of a cheering crowd. However, the British Bombshell maintained a purely professional pout throughout, wanting to look 'professional.'
Spoiler
The luchador flew toward the ring, rushing toward the steps and jumping up so he could plant a boot against the steel steps, pivot off of them, and come up on the ring apron. Blanco gave a wink to the fans before he pulled himself up, stepped between the ropes, and ducked into the center of the ring. There, Blanco got down on one knee, crossed himself, then raised his arms high into the air, drawing cheers from the fans as the arena lights hit the reflective material of his mask and cast him in a halo. Holly led a loud applause, as his music died down. Blanco remained in position. Holly, meanwhile, turned toward the entrance ramp, in anticipation of Eileen’s grand entrance.
