Heavyweight Championship Tournament and Title Plans

Unread post by winner3 »

Summary: Hey, guys. I'm currently announcing the beginning of the heavyweight championship tournament qualifying round. This will basically be a rehash of what we did for middleweights. If you're already familiar with the process, you can go ahead and attempt to begin your qualifying match here and your match will be submitted for mod approval.

For those of you that are less familiar with the process, I'll explain it down below, but you can also look at how we did it for middleweights, here.

Based on a previous poll, the demand for the next weight belt to establish after middleweights is heavyweights. Therefore, to take part in the tournament to determine LAW's inaugural heavyweight champion, please enter the qualifying round and have your character qualify by winning a qualifier match.

You can enter the qualifying round by visiting this section of the site. There you'll find an area where you can have a match to enter your girl into the Heavyweight Championship Tourney. You can start this match at any time, just like all matches in the Special Events section. Do not be intimidated by the message that says you need mod approval. Just submit the first post of the match and more than likely, myself or a mod will approve it and it will be posted. So if you have a heavyweight girl that you'd like to have in contention for the LAW Heavyweight Championship, please find an rp partner and start a qualifying match with them in the section I linked previously. The winner qualifies to compete in the rest of the tournament with other ladies who qualify.

There will be a cut off date for when you can no longer begin a qualifier match and a subsequent date that you'll need to finish by. Though, I will allow ample time, since there will be many people participating or prepping for other events, such as the We Are LAW PPV coming up. I'll post notices well in advance for when the cutoffs are, so for now, act as if you've got all the time you need to get to it at your convenience.

Once your girl has qualified, she will be added to the list of qualified participants. A list which I will keep updated in this thread and on the site front page.

FAQ's:

Q: So how does posting the match work?
A: Go the heavyweight qualifier section under special events and post a start a qualifying match with an rp partner. Whichever girl wins earns the right to compete in the rest of the tournament.

Q: It says I need mod approval, can I still post the match?
A: Yes. Post it, I'll approve it. If I don't, I'll let you know why and you can try again.

Q: Do both girls have to be heavyweights?
A: For the LAW Heavyweight Championship Tournament Qualifier? Yes, please.

Q: How do we decide who wins?
A: You and your rp partner do for the qualifiers, same as a normal match. This one will be in Kōrakuen Hall/The Tokyo Dome, though. So treat it like it's a big fight, similar to a ppv.

Q: My girl competed, but lost her match. Can she fight another to try again and qualify?
A: No, Sorry. When the entire tourney is done, though, I'll post a breakdown of the tournament and show the results of the qualifiers, so she'll be represented/shown in some form. But she doesn't get to try twice. You qualify or you don't.

Q: One of my girls competed in a qualifier and lost. Can I have another heavyweight on my roster compete in a qualifying match?
A: Yes, yes you can.

Q: My girl won her qualifier match. Can I have another heavyweight on my roster compete in a qualifying match?
A: As long as the other girls on your roster lose, yes. That would be a huge help to others and would be a great way for you to give back to the community and help out those who are looking to qualify.

Q: Can more than one girl on my roster qualify?
A: No.

Q: What type of match should the qualifier be?
A: Standard match won by pin fall, submission, knockout, count-out, or disqualification.

Q: I won't finish my match in time. Could I have more time?
A: I'm gonna try to be strict with this, so odds are I won't allow more time and ask you to rush your match to completion or not take part in the tourney. By posting this months in advance, I would hope that I've given everyone ample time.

Q: How will the tournament be booked? Will you be choosing the results for the entire thing?
A: I'll hash out those details with the people who qualify for the tourney.

Title Plans: The mods and I have decided that to help compromise between people who want the introduction of titles accelerated and those who want to wait, that we could introduce both the Hardcore title and the Hentai title at the same time, sometime near of after a the first Heavyweight Champion is crowned. Lemme know what you guys think. Maybe we'll do a poll or something.

UPDATE: I think at this point, almost everyone who's interested in the Heavyweight tournament has started their match, or will start very soon. Therefore, if there are no objections, we'll make the cutoff date for being able to start a qualifier match the first Friday of the new year, January 5th. This will be marked on the event calendar

The date to finish qualifier matches will be somewhere in the ballpark of late to mid February. Though right now, it's negotiable.
