Marie had assumed that her first match would be tagging alongside her sister Chloe. However it looked like the LAW bookers had wanted to see how her skills as a singles competitor. Even more so, she was to be the wrestling committee for another debuting wrestler named Chika Igarashi and what she had seen of the wrestler had made Marie excited. Soon the Quebecois was called up and was the first to head towards the ring as the crowd prepared themselves for the upcoming match up. While Marie was still a relative unknown to the wrestler world at large, she still managed to gain some louder cheers from a few of the fans meaning that a couple had done their research.

Marie entered the ring and started to do her stretching to mentally prepare for her opponent. Win or Lose, Marie was going to make sure that the people would remember her more than Chika.

Chika felt several things as she sat down on a bench in the locker room, thinking about the whirlwind that was 2019 for her. Between her daughter going to school and herself winning several major Joshi promotions top prizes across Japan, it was definitely a great year...however, once she realized that despite all her success, her funds would still not be enough to cover the school fees (wanting to provide the best education for her daughter that she possibly could), it was time to finally switch from the independants and sign with a major promotion. LAW offering her a very high-end contract as swiftly as it did however, was the best Christmas present she could ask for. And needless to say, she had to not disappoint them tonight to justify it...

Her daughter was already somewhere in the audience, with Eiichiro, her adoptive father, sitting with her (LAW's kids hours happening way earlier in the shows until...specific matches were allowed and children were practically kicked out of the building at the sight of them). During her entrance she had to be on the look out for them.

In the meantime, she took on finishing touches to her entrance attire, putting on her large raven mask and the claw, already wearing the armor. Once she was done...she sat down, and held her breath. Debuts were always exciting and frightful for her. She had quite a few fans the world over, quite a large portion of that in Japan...but LAW definitely had more reach than independant Joshi and Puroresu feds around Tokyo. There will be fresh eyes on her, judging her...

Lastly there was the matter of her opponent tonight, also debuting. Marie St. Pierre, a heiress to a reknowned martial arts family from Canada that was making quite a name for herself great both as a solo and a tag team wrestler, the latter with her sister. This was a great foe to debut against. Established, well-known fighter from overseas against a veteran Japanese wrestler. A tale that was quite oldschool for Puroresu...with both conclusions just as possible to occur tonight:

"Hmmmm...no. There is no possibility of her winning. I will beat her. Full stop!", she would promise herself.

Dashing slightly anxious thoughts away, she heard a knock on the door, and a woman's voice in Japanese saying: "<Two minutes to your entrance>". Nodding, she stood up, and headed for the Gorilla Position.

Lights would go down shortly after Marie's entrance, and Chika's music started playing, pausing right before it's first major part as a spotlight turned on...

...and the Raven Knight rose to her feet, her sight directed right towards Marie as the song returned to the speakers.

She made her way down the ramp, approaching and smirking at the members of the audience, keeping her field of vision wide to make sure she could see...

...a cute little figure wearing her mask right in the front row, with a large man who was easy to guess to be a pro wrestler sat down next to her. Kairi would jump up and down as her mother approached her, smiling at her with the widest grin she could muster:

"<Kick her butt, mom!>"

"<Oh, I will.>", she would tell her, before whispering to her in a hushed tone: "<I love you...>"

After that, her attention was squarely towards the ring. If she wanted Kairi to see her win, focus was incredibly important. She climbed on top of the ring apron, lifting her claw up into the air as she stood a top her perch...before efficiently hopping off, happening to be right in the corner opposite to her opponent.

She quickly proceeded to take off her entrance armor off of her, revealing the violet eyed, confident Joshi wrestler underneath, wearing a tied up shirt with a beautiful art she commissioned herself for it (Kairi wearing the same one in the front row), as well as black shorts, wearing kickpads over her legs as her bare feet touched the ring canvas:

"Konichiwa!", Chika greeted her foe with a bright smile, quickly giving way to a more confident one. The ref would approach her to quickly check her for weapons (and doing the same for Marie), before Chika approached the middle of the ring with outstretched hands. Despite being more heroic a wrestler, Joshis of all moralities are known to skip the bell at times no matter the match, no matter if it was against their rival, someone who disrespected them, a newcomer...however, a debut was different to her, however. This was to make it clear that, despite her dark look, she was not a rulebreaker by any stretch of the imagination...

Chika's entrance was definitely interesting Marie thought as her armored clad opponent made her way to the ring. The atmosphere that washed over the arena admittedly gave the Quebecois goose bumps, but she was more interested in seeing how good Chika actually was. The blonde watched as Chika greeted a child wearing a similar raven's mask in the front row before entering the ring. Most likely her own daughter. Once Chika was in the ring, she greeted Marie -- the blonde gave a short bow in response.

As the entrance died down and Chika finished removing her gear, Marie stepped towards her smaller opponent and stretched out her hand.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how good you are."Marie stated in a thick accent, "Hoping the best thing about you isn't the entrance."

Chika and Marie shook hands, with Marie commenting on Chika's entrance in a taunting manner. She found it weird how people of various nationalities in wrestling spoke some variation of English, her own father getting her a tutor to improve it if she were to be a wrestler...and in a way, it made sense when she thought about how vital America and Britain were to the Sport of Kings.

"Oh? Well...I'll be sure to ask you the best thing about me after I kick your cute butt...", Chika said with a warm smile. The playful verbal spar done, the two ladies returned to their respective corners, with referee calling for the bell...

DING DING DING!

Carefully, the two slowly approached each other, looking to meet in the middle of the ring once more. Looking for the first attack on her foe, Chika would attempt to dash forward once Marie was close enough, trying to nail a hard low kick to Quebecer's right leg!

Marie kept a close eye on Chika at the start of the bell as the match between both martial artists began. Chika moved first with a quick, but stiff kick to her leg. The impact of their kickpads colliding made an echo that could be heard by the arena and felt by Maria. Not one to lose to a striking match, Marie let loose one of her own to Chika's leg

The swift low kick would find it's mark on Marie, Chika quickly pulling her leg away for Marie to not trip her up, trying to swiftly step away from her rival to avoid a counter attack...

...only for Marie to give the Raven Knight her receipt for the low kick with her own, right as Chika stepped back! The Joshi winced, pain crystal clear on her face...

...but as she retreated, she would lift her unused left leg up, slicing it through the air. Trying to use the retreat to lull the Quebecer into a false sense of security, she attempted to ram her left leg into Marie's ribs!

Marie saw the kick coming and picked it off, looking to quickly trap Chika into a leg lock.

Despite Chika trying to be swift as she could, Marie was just a step faster than her, managing to dodge the Raven Knight's kick, and grab her leg, the Quebecer dropping the two of them on the floor to trap Chika in a leglock!

"Ah!", Chika gasped and cringed, quickly using her arms and free leg to try to get to the ropes for a break as quickly as she could before Marie could properly work her limb over!

Marie held Chika's leg firmly in her arms, but her smaller foe proved to be quite squirrelly as she pulled the two towards the ropes. Marie planted her foot and pulled Chika into her arms where she looked to deliver a german suplex.

As Chika attempted to wrap her arm around the rope for a break (as shameful as it was to require one this early on in the match), Marie would read her moves, and break the hold early to avoid penalities from the referee. Instead, Marie wrapped her hands around the Raven Knight's waist, deadlifting her off the canvas to drop her with a German Suplex!

"AAUGH!", Chika cried, her neck absorbing all of the punishment from the move. She tried to pull herself up to her feet, a still target for Marie's next attack...
