Personality
Normal Personality
Ayame generally comes across as aloof. She is typically brusque when talking to others but otherwise knows how to handle herself without stepping on too many toes. Despite Ayame's apparent aloofness, Ayame is actually quite fiery underneath her facade of ice.

If you get past that icy exterior, you will find someone who is obsessed with keeping control. She loathes not having control of her situation---in fact, not having control terrifies her. Between her extremely overbearing father, the sudden loss of her friend/older-sister figure Fumie, and her incarceration, Ayame felt like she never had any control (although in actuality, apart from the death of Fumie, Ayame had some control over her situations).

Because Ayame felt like she never had any control, she (almost obsessively) seeks to take control of her situation. If someone directly or indirectly takes control away from Ayame, she will usually aggressively try to regain control (this has led to some friction between Ayame and her manager). It should be noted that Ayame is not obsessed with controlling others, however---she is primarily concerned with controlling her own situation. Somewhat of a contradiction, despite being fixated on maintaining control, Ayame has a somewhat fatalistic outlook on life. She believes that the world can and will arbitrarily take everything from her and that she should try and maintain what little control she has.

Ayame has a hard time forming close relationships with people. Her father was emotionally-distant, only caring about turning Ayame into a skilled martial artist, and her mother was too afraid to stand up to Ayame's father. Moreover, Ayame did not have any genuine friendships growing up. The only close relationship she had was with her older-sister figure, Fumie Kimura. Unfortunately, this relationship only lasted for ten months as Fumie was killed by a drunk truck driver. Because of this, Ayame avoids getting close to people out of fear of losing them. This is not to say that Ayame would not like to form a close relationship---rather, she is anxious about doing so and finds it much easier to keep her distance. Furthermore, despite not forming close relationships, Ayame is more than capable of interacting with people, albeit in a somewhat-distant manner.

Interestingly, had Ayame been subject to different conditions/experiences, she would have been a kind, outgoing woman.
In-Ring Personality and Tendencies
Before the match
Note: This is not canon. Instead, it demonstrates a scenario that could happen before one of Ayame's matches. Moreover, the other woman speaking is supposed to be Claire Thomas.
In the dressing room, Ayame sits silently. Nervousness, fear, and inhibition permeate her consciousness as her heart races. She takes deep, slow breaths, her chest rhythmically rising and falling. Slowly, she rises from her seat, her feet moving slowly but smoothly as she takes a few steps forward. The rhythmic motion of her chest continues as oxygen cycles through her lungs and she slowly gets into her fighting stance.

Tss!

The sound of Ayame forcefully exhaling fills the air as she throws a lightning-fast jab. Ayame stands motionless, having returned to the exact same position she was in before throwing the jab.

Tss! Tss!

Ayame throws out a one-two, her punches slicing through the space in front of her. Her body ever so slightly begins to move in a rhythm as her feet begin to bounce, almost imperceptibly.

Tss! Tss! Tss!

A jab pierces the air, stabbing through the head of an imaginary opponent. An instant later, a cross comes barreling forward, slamming into the opponent's chin. The sounds of the two impacts merge together, creating a single sharp crack. Then, like a scythe, a left hook flies through the air in an arc, the tip of the scythe sinking itself into the exposed chin of the imaginary figure in front of Ayame.

She watches as her opponent's jaw is severed and falls to the floor. Her opponent begins to crumple as blood begins to freely flow from the wound. Ayame drops her hands and tilts her head upwards as she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. As Ayame exhales, the gruesome scene begins to fade from her mind's eye like a dying ember as she returns her head to its normal position. Slowly, her eyelids open, revealing her fiery golden eyes. As her eyes glow with fire, the chains of restraint begin to burn away, the ashes scattering as if blown by the wind.

Suddenly, a young woman with white hair and the only other person in the room speaks up. "Ayame-chan, time to head out," says the woman.

Slowly, Ayame's feet begin to move and she exits the dressing room. As she walks backstage, images of herself beating, dominating, and humiliating her opponent flash through her mind.

"It's okay if she dies," Ayame tells herself. "She signed up for this."

The doors to the arena creak as they are pushed open, bright lights flooding Ayame's vision as she hears the roar of the crowd. Her heart rate quickens slightly as she walks down the ramp, to the ring.

"I will decide her fate," thinks Ayame as her vision adjusts to the light. "I have control."

As Ayame gets closer to the ring, her fear begins to diminish and her inhibition begins to fade. All eyes are on Ayame as she walks towards the ring---but Ayame is not paying attention to the crowd. The fear and inhibition in her heart is being replaced with confidence and drive. She will dominate, no matter what. She will have control, even if it means breaking her opponent. And she will enjoy it.

As Ayame steps the ring, she is no longer the same person that she was in the dressing room. No longer is she a woman laden with doubts, fear, and inhibition---now, she is a monster with one goal: to dominate.

"I'm back," whispers Ayame.

Suddenly, a hand finds Ayame's shoulder. Ayame turns around and sees the white-haired woman, standing just outside the ropes.

"You'll do great," the woman says, a sad, sympathetic smile adorning her face. "But don't go too far."

"We'll see," says Ayame. "We will see."
Normally, Ayame does not revel in hurting people. However, before matches, she will "flip a switch" inside of her mind and get into a different state of mind. When in this state of mind, she is cold and merciless, taking pleasure in dominating others.

Because of this, when inside the ring, Ayame can be described as sadistic. She enjoys breaking her opponents and making them lose hope. She has no qualms about beating up her opponents or subjecting them to extreme (sexual) humiliation. As long as she can dominate her opponent, she is "happy". It does not matter what sort of match it is---she will use whatever tactics are allowed to secure control of her opponent. Ayame feeds off of the feeling of control.

Even when winning, however, Ayame is usually careful not to give her opponents a chance to escape or counterattack. Unless she really gets in the zone, it is not be easy to catch her off-guard while she is dominating.

Additionally, Ayame is invigorated by the energy of the crowd: whether the crowd is cheering or booing, the energy of the crowd will push Ayame to either fight on or become even more cruel (depending on how the match is going). The crowd is not everything to Ayame, however. She can still fight without it.

When Ayame is struck, especially with a strong blow, she will sometimes hide her pain and act as if the strike did not hurt. She does this to mess with her opponents psychologically.

Generally, Ayame does not seek to inflict major injuries on her opponents. Through experience, she has learned that going too far will cause her opponent's mind to "shut off", causing them to not react as strongly to pain or humiliation. Ayame usually prefers to inflict psychological anguish so she is inclined to avois anything that would get in the way of that.

Ayame prefers to exert control over women and is not keen on fighting against men. Her reasoning is that men tend to not (outwardly) show emotion as much as women---the reactions she gets from women, at least in her mind, are more satisfying.

Moreover, Ayame does not fight for sexual gratification. She is not sexually attracted to women, although she does find the female body to be aesthetically pleasing, in a non-sexual manner. However, if she thinks it will humiliate her opponent further, she will fake getting-off to her opponent's humiliation. It should be noted, however, that Ayame can become aroused due to physical stimulation.

If Ayame feels like she is losing control of a match, she will desperately fight to regain control. She is not above resorting to cheating in these sorts of situations. She usually does not blatantly cheat though---however, if she is in a really tight spot, blatant cheating is not out of the question. When Ayame is desperate, she can sometimes make careless mistakes or bite on feints that she normally would not bite on. However, Ayame is not unaware of this tendency and can usually regain her composure after a while.

Ayame has a very strong will that is hard to break. Being on the losing side will not cause her to go into despair---rather, it lights a fire within her. When she is in a humiliating position, she will almost always be fighting back or biding her time (unless she is physically unable to).

Finally, Ayame prefers to fight opponents who provide some resistance. She is not above squashing jobbers but prefers to break down her opponents instead of beating them outright. She can also derive immense satisfaction from breaking a strong opponent.
Combat Information
Physical/Mental Abilities
Ayame is extremely explosive, especially in her legs. She uses this in many areas of her game. Quick and nimble footwork, swift counters, and lightning-fast kicks, all of those are made possible through her explosiveness. However, this explosiveness comes at a cost: she can sometimes "gas out" if a match drags on for too long. While Ayame has excellent cardiovascular endurance, her muscular endurance is inherently low. Through training, however, Ayame managed to get her muscular endurance to be slightly above average---despite that, tiring out is still a possibility for her. Moreover, for her size, Ayame is quite strong.

Additionally, Ayame has stellar reaction time. She can often react to strikes in time to either block, dodge, or move out of the way. For the strikes that do get through, Ayame can rely on her excellent durability to keep her in the fight. She has a strong chin, making it quite difficult to knock out; moreover, she can withstand a good amount of punishment to her body and limbs. However, she can still be hurt (although she tries not to let her opponents catch on to that).

Ayame is also skilled at reading her opponents. She can pick up on her opponent's subtle (and overt) habits and exploit them. Moreover, Ayame is capable of reading physical cues. For instance, she can pick up on the difference between the startup motions of a front kick versus a low kick and react accordingly.
General Tendencies
Ayame likes to put pressure on her opponents. She utilizes aggressive footwork and feints to keep her opponents on edge. Furthermore, using her explosiveness, she can rapidly close the distance and strike her opponent. This means that even if an opponent is out of immediate reach, they may not be safe. Ayame tries to always remain a threat so that her opponents are never at ease.

Using this pressure and aggression, Ayame tries to put her opponent on the defensive. Ayame tries to force her opponent to become reactionary, focused on dealing with Ayame's actions instead of being focused on mounting an offense. Hopefully, the pressure will cause her opponent to make mistakes or fall back into old habits, which Ayame can capitalize on due to her ability to read her opponents.

Ayame generally likes to maintain control and have some idea of what her opponent will do next. When she loses control, however, she can get flustered. When in this state, Ayame tends to make more mistakes and will sometimes bite on feints that she ordinarily would not bite on. However, Ayame is aware of this tendency and can usually regain her composure after a while.
Stance
Ayame fights using a wider, more bladed stance, somewhat akin to a karate stance. This allows her more mobility and stability. Due to her background in karate, she will utilize both orthodox and southpaw stances when fighting. She favors slightly favors orthodox, however.

She typically holds her hands lower than a lot of other mixed martial artists would. She typically holds her hands at around chin-level or lower with her lead hand slightly forward/out. This tends to work for her as she relies more on footwork and head movement to avoid strikes. It also helps against takedowns. However, despite generally holding her hands lower, at closer distances Ayame will raise her guard.

Despite typically fighting out of a bladed stance (due to her karate background), she will sometimes make adjustments to her stance. For instance, against a takedown-heavy opponent, Ayame may adopt a stance that is low and wide, has her feet and hips squared up, and has her hands held slightly low. Making these modifications helps Ayame to better defend against takedowns. Alternatively, she may adopt a Muay Thai-style stance if she needs extra defense against leg kicks or if she wants to throw even faster roundhouse kicks (however, Ayame's kicking speed is already extremely fast in her "natural" stance).
Striking
Ayame uses her explosiveness to great effect in her striking. She can use explosive footwork to rapidly move in and out, as well as cut angles. Moreover, she has extremely fast hand speed and kicking speed, being able to throw extremely quick and powerful strikes. Due to her training, these strikes are rarely telegraphed.

Ayame prefers to fight at a distance, usually around edge of her opponent's striking range. Her sense of distance is very strong and she can usually maintain her preferred distance. In fact, her sense of distance is at a level to where she can sometimes dodge punches just by turning her neck (although this only works when she is at the edge of her opponent's punching range). Furthermore, Ayame will typically rely on footwork and head movement instead of blocking to defend against strikes.

However, despite preferring to fight at a distance, Ayame is capable of fighting up close as well. She has fast and powerful punches at her disposal; moreover, she is good in the clinch.

Ayame likes to use kicks from a distance to pressure and/or hurt her opponents, often utilizing front kicks, teep kicks (modified to fit her bladed stance), side kicks, and low kicks. One strategy that Ayame likes to use is to damage her opponents' legs with low kicks to break them down and take away their mobility. Additionally, Ayame can also throw other kicks as well (roundhouse kicks, various spinning kicks, etc).
Leg kick defense
Because Ayame uses a bladed karate-like stance, it can be difficult to do a Muay Thai-style leg kick check. However, Ayame has several strategies to deal with leg kicks.

In a closed-stance situation (i.e. orthodox against orthodox or southpaw against southpaw), if her opponent throws a leg kick aimed at her lead leg, Ayame can turn her lead-leg knee and shin outwards while shifting her weight to her lead leg. This can result in her opponent's leg kick hitting the hard part of her shin.

Alternatively, Ayame can simply move her lead leg back and out of the way to avoid the low kick entirely. Similarly, she could also throw a counter kick with her lead leg.

In an open-stance situation (i.e. orthodox against southpaw), Ayame can angle her leg so the inside of her thigh is not exposed. This also makes it so that her opponent has a chance of accidentally hitting Ayame's shin when throwing an inside leg kick.
Grappling
While Ayame is more of a striker than a grappler, she can still grapple. When grappling, she typically relies on technique instead of brute strength. This is because she is used to grappling with people who are bigger than her and also because she does not want to tire herself out. Furthermore, Ayame can make strategic use of her explosiveness while grappling.
Submissions
Ayame knows basic submissions and will sometimes use them. She does know some more-advanced submissions but will rarely use them. Ayame is not primarily focused on submissions. If Ayame is winning, however, she may get creative with submissions.
Takedowns
Ayame is proficient with takedowns. She is capable of chaining takedowns together in case her initial takedown(s) are defended.
Moves
Favored Setups
  • Question mark kick setup
    • Establish the front kick/teep to the body, conditioning the opponent to expect those kicks. Feint one of those kicks, causing the opponent to drop his or her hands to defend the body. Then, whip the leg up and kick the head.
    • The question mark kick can also be set up with a low kick
  • Axe kick setup
    • Establish the low kick, conditioning the opponent to expect a kick to the legs. Feint the low kick, then bring the leg up into an axe kick.
And probably others that I have not thought of yet.
Arsenal
Ayame can use a lot of moves, including:
  • Front kicks
  • Teep kicks
  • Side kicks
  • Low kicks (i.e. leg kicks)
  • Question mark kick
    • This can be set up by first establishing the front kick, teep kick, or low kick. Once the opponent has been conditioned to expect one of those kicks, Ayame can fake one of those kicks and then suddenly whip her leg up top to kick her opponent in the head.
  • Axe kick
    • This can be set up by feinting a low kick first and then transitioning to an axe kick
  • Roundhouse kick (rear and lead)
  • Spinning back kick
  • Spinning heel kick
  • Spinning back fist
  • Spinning back elbow
You get the idea.

Additional Notes
  • Ayame can cut weight down to 120 lbs
    • While her endurance does suffer some (going from 6/10 to 5.5/10), she "feels more alive" after cutting weight
      • However, this is only the case if she cuts weight sensibly. If she is rushed or does it foolishly, then cutting weight would have a bigger impact on Ayame.
    • After the weigh-in, she will usually regain a lot of the weight she lost (since a lot of that weight was water weight anyways)
    • During matches, she is usually somewhat close to her natural weight of 140 lbs
    • Thankfully, LAW allows matches outside of one's weight class so cutting weight probably will not be an issue for Ayame
Favored Matches
Ayame is not too picky about her matches. She is open to most matches, including hentai, so long she can dominate and/or humiliate an opponent. Generally, however, she prefers to have a humiliation aspect to matches---although it does not necessarily have to be straight-up hentai.

She dislikes standard matches, however. Her grappling experience does not primarily come from wrestling so she does not like the idea of pins. Ayame does not find pins very exciting either.
History
Summary
Ayame was born in Tokyo, Japan as Ayame Itō to a former Olympic athlete and a famous martial artist. From an early age, Ayame showed an inclination towards books and reading. However, her father, who was a famous martial artist, forced Ayame to begin training karate at age three. When Ayame was seven years old, her father moved to a city in America to start a dojo, taking Ayame and her mother with him.

Shortly after moving to America, Ayame started getting bullied. Eventually, she lashed out against her aggressors after being cornered. This led to her father increasing Ayame's training in an attempt to "straighten Ayame out". After that incident, Ayame became more aggressive and assertive. For once in her life, she had some semblance of control. From that point on, Ayame would use threats of violence (along with actual violence, if necessary) to control her classmates.

The day Ayame turned fourteen, her relationship with her father took a turn for the worse. Fed up with being controlled by her father, Ayame decided to stop training with her father. After that, Ayame would spend most of her time outside of the house, only (sometimes) returning home for meals and to sleep. Ayame quickly got mixed up with the wrong crowd. Shortly afterward, a chance occurrence resulted in Ayame cutting ties with that crowd and joining an MMA gym. For the next ten months, Ayame trained at the gym. Unfortunately, tragedy struck, resulting in Ayame leaving the gym. For the next two years. Ayame trained in a variety of martial arts at various establishments throughout the city. Eventually, she returned to her old gym.

When Ayame turned eighteen, her father kicked her out of the house. After that, the first thing that Ayame did was change her name to Ayame Aoi (Aoi being her mother's maiden name). The second thing that Ayame did was get an apartment. Ayame ended up in a run-down apartment building in a bad part of town. Soon, she was found by a sketchy recruiter for a local underground sexfighting ring. Desperate for money, Ayame agreed without knowing what the match was.

Despite being hesitant at the start of the match, Ayame soon got into it. What proceeded was a cavalcade of humiliation for her hapless opponent. The night ended with Ayame's opponent being suspended upside-down from a flagpole with two vibrating dildos inside of her, one in her pussy and the other in her ass. Unfortunately, two hours later, the ropes suspending Ayame's opponent slipped, sending her crashing to the ground.

Ayame's opponent survived with a broken arm, broken ribs, and a major concussion. Unfortunately for Ayame, she was convicted of battery and sexual assault. Ayame was sentenced to three years in prison. While in prison, Ayame would get into many fights---both sexual and non-sexual. While Ayame would win the majority of her fights, she suffered a few humiliating losses among the way. However, Ayame avenged every one of those losses (often in brutal and/or humiliating fashion). Eventually, Ayame became the "queen" of the prison. She was known as someone who, while not invincible, would always crawl back from the depths, no matter how badly she was beaten down.

After prison, Ayame found herself homeless. She had very few prospects, being a felon and registered sex offender with very little money. However, after a series of chance occurrences involving a kitten, a woman who had conveniently lost a small part of her memory, and a television, Ayame ended up joining LAW.
Complete History
Ayame was born in Tokyo, Japan as Ayame Itō. Her mother was a former Olympic athlete and her father was a famous (traditional) martial artist (specifically, he was a famous karateka, or karate practitioner). Starting when she was four months old, Ayame showed a strong inclination towards books and reading. However, when Ayame was three years old, her father began training her in martial arts. Despite Ayame showing no interest in martial arts, her father continued to force her to train. Ayame's mother tried to provide Ayame with books to read but otherwise did nothing to stop Ayame's father---while Ayame's father was never physically abusive, he would use intimidation and threats of violence to control Ayame's mother. To this day, Ayame harbors deep resentment towards her mother and father, the latter for forcing her into martial arts and the former for failing to do anything to stop it.

After initially resisting learning martial arts, Ayame began to become serious about them as a way to please her father and get his approval. She showed an unusual amount of talent for martial arts, which greatly pleased her father. However, Ayame lacked natural aggressiveness. Her father's attempts to teach her aggression only made Ayame more scared and timid.

When Ayame was seven years old, her father moved to a city in America to start a dojo, taking Ayame and her mother with him. Ayame started school in America during the middle of the fall. Unfortunately, Ayame's timid nature, along with the fact that she was a foreigner and did not know English, quickly made her a target of bullying. Eventually, during a cold spring day, Ayame was cornered in an alleyway by a few of her bullies. Out of fear, Ayame lashed out, giving a brutal beating to her antagonizers. When the news reached Ayame's father, he was furious---not because Ayame had hurt others but because in his mind, it reflected poorly on him and the dojo. After that point, Ayame's father increased her training in an attempt to "straighten Ayame out".

After the incident, Ayame became more aggressive and assertive. For once in her life, she had some semblance of control. From that point on, Ayame would use threats of violence (along with actual violence, if necessary) to control her classmates. While unhappy with her actions at school, Ayame''s father was pleased with Ayame's newfound aggression---he finally had a daughter that could follow in his footsteps and succeed where he had failed.

Every weekend for the next two months, Ayame managed to get herself into at least one street fight, if not two or three.

That changed after Ayame had attempted to mug a seventeen-year old girl by the name of Fumie Kimura. While Ayame managed to get a few good hits in, Fumie managed to take Ayame to the ground and submit her (ironically, the move she used was a kimura). The two Japanese-Americans struck up a conversation and Fumie convinced Ayame to join the MMA gym that she trained at. Shortly thereafter, Ayame cut ties with the bad crowd that she had gotten mixed up with. For the next ten months, Ayame trained at the gym. During those ten months, Ayame made astonishing progress. Additionally, she became extremely close with Fumie, with the two developing a sisterly sort of relationship.

Fumie had aspirations to become a professional MMA fighter. Ten months after meeting Ayame, Fumie turned eighteen and thus was finally old enough to fight professionally. Fumie scheduled her first professional MMA fight shortly after her eighteenth birthday. However, a few days before the fight, Fumie revealed to Ayame that she reminded her of her little sister, who along with Fumie's mother had died after the car they were in was struck by a truck. Fearful that Fumie only cared about her because of this, Ayame verbally lashed out at Fumie. For the next few days, Ayame did not show up to the gym out of shame for what she did. Ayame planned to attend Fumie's debut match (a mid-card match) and apologize to her after she won (or lost, but Ayame knew Fumie would not lose).

On the day of the match, Fumie decided to walk instead of taking a car. With her mind focused on the upcoming match, Fumie blindly started walking as soon as the "walk" signal turned on. Unfortunately, a drunk truck driver blew a red light and struck Fumie, instantly killing her. At the venue, Ayame waited in the audience for Fumie to arrive. Fumie's entrance music started to play but no one walked out (the event had some logistical issues, leading to them not realizing that Fumie was absent). Ayame waited for hours for Fumie to arrive, even after the event had ended.

The next day, Ayame showed up to the gym and was informed of Fumie's death. Ayame was devastated. She began to blame herself for Fumie's death, thinking that had she been walking with Fumie, she could have saved her (although had Ayame been with Fumie, they both would have been killed by the truck). She regretted not getting a chance to apologize to Fumie and began to believe that she made Fumie hate her. That could not be further from the truth, however. While the fact that Ayame reminded Fumie of her sister was part of the reason why Fumie reached out to Ayame in the first place, Fumie treasured Ayame as her own person.
Side Story: Fumie Kimura and the Kimura Family
Fumie Kimura had a very similar background to Ayame. Her father was a famous mixed martial artist named Risuke Kimura and her mother was a marine biologist named Yasuho Takenaka (now Yasuho Kimura). Like Ayame, Fumie was born in Tokyo, Japan. When Fumie was six years old, she and her parents moved to America so that Fumie's father could start an MMA gym.

Growing up, Fumie spent a lot of time at her father's gym (which was called "Kimura MMA"). This gym was the same one that Ayame later became a member of. Despite Fumie spending a lot of time at the gym, she also had other hobbies as well such as violin and biking.

Additionally, Fumie had a younger sister named Ayako. Ayako, while initially not interested in martial arts, saw how her older sister Fumie would do martial arts. Wanting to be like her older sister, Ayako took up martial arts and eventually learned to love them.

Unlike Ayame's parents, Fumie's parents had a good relationship. Furthermore, Fumie's father did not force her to learn martial arts---instead, Fumie chose that path herself. Her parents were kind people and they instilled that same kindness in Fumie and Ayako.

When Fumie was thirteen years old, her mother and younger sister were killed in a car accident. A drunk truck driver crashed his semi-truck into their car, killing them instantly. Fumie and her father were off training and thus were not with them. While devastating, it caused both Fumie and her father to cherish life, both their own lives and that of others. They both independently vowed to make the world a better place so that they could die knowing that they made a difference.

When Fumie and her father saw Ayame, they were reminded of Ayako. They also saw how Ayame was battling with her demons and they wished to help Ayame. Within the short time that they knew Ayame, they came to view her like family.
Side Story: Intersecting Fates
Soon after the death of Fumie, Ayame found out that her father and Fumie's father had actually met before. The two of them had fought a couple of times, with the fights being advertised as a competition between traditional martial arts and modern mixed martial arts. Despite putting up good fights and even putting Fumie's father in some of tight spots, Ayame's father lost both matches, ironically by submission via kimuras.

Ayame's father never got over those losses. Knowing that a third match was out of the question, given their ages and lack of hype for a third fight, Ayame's father knew he would not get a third shot. Thus, he tried to train his daughter to be a martial artist, hoping that she would succeed where he failed. Ayame's father later found out that Fumie's father also had a daughter who was into martial arts, further galvanizing him in his goal of making Ayame a formidable fighter. Had things gone differently, Ayame may have been rivals with Fumie.

Upon finding out about this, Ayame began to ponder. She recalled how similar her and Fumie's backgrounds were. She looked at how Fumie's father had treated his daughter, versus how her own father had treated her. She looked at how her own father had been beaten by Fumie's father twice. She looked at Fumie and how kind and skilled she was, and then looked at herself, a child who lashed out at the world. In spite of this, Ayame did not feel jealousy towards Fumie or her situation---instead, she felt sadness. In her mind, she was Fumie but broken. And yet, she was the one still alive.

"I should have been the one to die."
After that event, Ayame left the gym she had been training at and began to hop from gym-to-gym (the city that she lived in had excellent public transportation). Ayame would do various odd-jobs to pay for gym memberships and eventually started working as a barista at her local Buckstars Coffee House when she was sixteen. Over the next two years, Ayame would train at a variety of gyms and dojos, being exposed to a variety of styles (boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, Brazillian jiu-jitsu, wrestling, sambo, Taekwondo, et cetera). She even got to briefly train at a pro-wrestling gym, learning some aerial moves and showmanship. Notably, however, Ayame avoided karate, which she had trained in for the first fourteen years of her life. Ayame would not keep it a secret from her father that she was training martial arts that were not karate, much to her father's chagrin.

Eventually, Ayame returned to her old gym. This time, Ayame actively avoided getting close to anyone at the gym. While the others acknowledged her as a good sparring partner (who occasionally went a little too hard), none of them considered her a "friend". Ayame was determined not to get close to anyone, only to have the world rip the person away from her. Additionally, while Ayame had an opportunity to be like "an older sister" to one of the younger members of the gym, she did not---Ayame did not want to become a sister-figure to another only to end up dying and leaving her "younger sister" behind. Despite not forming any close relationships with the others at the gym (or anyone for that matter), Ayame became a formidable mixed martial artist. By the time Ayame was nearly eighteen, her skills rivaled those of Fumie. Despite being capable of going pro, Ayame decided not to pursue a professional MMA career. Despite knowing that the fear was not logical, Ayame was afraid that she would end up dying like Fumie if she debuted as a professional mixed martial artist. Furthermore, Ayame wanted nothing to do with competitive MMA as it would remind her too much of Fumie.

Soon, she was spotted by a shady recruiter for a local underground sexfighting ring. The recruiter figured that he could take advantage of a young, attractive woman who is strapped for cash. Without specifying details, the recruiter offered Ayame $350 to participate in a "match" and an additional $350 should Ayame win. Despite knowing that the man was sketchy, Ayame accepted because she was short on cash and rent was due soon. Ayame was to travel to an abandoned warehouse that Friday night and show up at 10pm.

When Ayame arrived, she was escorted through the backdoor. Upon entering the warehouse, she noticed a crudely made "ring"---in fact, the "ring" was more akin to a roped-off area of floor adorned with mats. As Ayame made her way towards the ring, the announcer specified the match stipulations: the match was to be a hentai humiliation match with accepted submissions only. Ayame frowned, not knowing what those words meant. Then, Ayame spotted her opponent. Inside the ring was a girl with short, white hair and purple eyes, dressed in standard street clothes. Then, Ayame looked around the outskirts of the "ring". There were sex toys. And lots of them.

"And now for our combatants! Claire---local hentai champion with seventeen wins and zero losses---will face off against Ayame---tonight's sacrifice!" yelled the announcer.

"What the hell?" thought Ayame. "What kind of idiot matchmaker would put a new fighter with a blank record against a champion? Wait, sacrifice? What the hell does that mean?"

As soon as Ayame stepped inside the "ring", the announcer yelled "AND START!" Immediately, Claire charged forward with a devilish grin on her face. Instinctively, Ayame pivoted clockwise on her lead foot as she threw a left hook. The left hook cut through the air and smashed into Claire's jaw, stunning Claire. Claire's legs turned to jelly as she lost her footing. Ayame followed her left hook with a right cross. However, Claire had already began to fall so the cross sailed above Claire's head. As Claire was falling down, she desperately grabbed onto Ayame's shirt, ripping it and exposing Ayame's black bra.

Ayame turned red as the crowd started to holler. The crowd began to shout lewd instructions at the combatants, most of them demanding that they remove more of the other's clothing. Meanwhile, Claire was still groggy from Ayame's left hook. Ayame stood in shock. She had been mislead---what she thought would be an underground brawl turned out to be an underground sexfight. Ayame felt the reins of destiny slip from her grasp. Once again, she was not in control---upon this realization, the cracks in her psyche grew into fissures.

Then, Ayame pounced. Ayame proceeded to one-sidedly strip Claire completely naked, ripping off her opponent's clothes rather than simply removing them. By the end of it, Ayame was mounted on Claire with Claire in tears underneath her.

The crowd went insane, cheering Ayame on and demanding that she go further. Ayame was completely intoxicated by the cheers as her opponent lied underneath her, naked and sobbing. Ayame basked in the warm glow of the floodlights illuminating the "ring". For once, she was in control. For once, she could decide fate, even if it was not her own. For once, the world would sit by as she grabbed the reins of fate.

What followed next was a cavalcade of humiliation. Forced exposure. Forced orgasms. Self-degradation. All of these things, in addition to the various sex toys (vibrators, dildos, et cetera), were brought to bear on the hapless Claire. Claire submitted many times that night but Ayame mercilessly rejected those submissions. The mats were left covered in a mixture of Claire's cum and tears and Ayame forced Claire to lick her own cum off the mat.

Eventually, Ayame decided to finish her opponent in a spectacular fashion. Ayame tied Claire's arms and legs together, leaving her breasts and drooling wet pussy exposed. Then, Ayame picked up two vibrating dildos and headed outside, dragging Claire behind her. Ayame dragged Claire to the base of the flagpole located outside of the warehouse. As this was happening, the stage crew frantically dragged the floodlights outside to illuminate the salacious scene.

Ayame tied Claire upside-down to the rope connected to the flagpole. With a cruel smirk, Ayame then proceeded to roughly shove the two vibrating dildos into Claire, one in her tight pussy and the other in her ass, eliciting a broken whimper from Claire. Ayame then turned the dildos on and hoisted Claire up to the top of the flagpole as the floodlights illuminated Claire's obscene ascent. The audience made sure to take a lot of pictures of Claire's naked, nubile body.

Once Claire was secured at the top of the flagpole, Ayame left to go home---by her reckoning, it was about 11pm: there was still enough time to catch the train home. As Ayame exited, the crowd went wild. Some sticky-handed audience members tried to cop a feel but Ayame managed to catch them before they touched her. Some well-placed strikes from Ayame got them to back off.

Ayame won by "technical humiliation" as Claire was too broken to submit.

For two hours, Claire hung on top of the flagpole, naked and exposed. After being subjected to countless unwanted orgasms, Claire was a mess. Her womanly fluids were smeared over her taut belly and luscious tits. Her face was covered in a shameful mixture of cum and tears, her cum glistening in the harsh light of the floodlights. Suddenly, the rope that had was holding Claire suspended began to slip. Claire was still conscious enough to notice this but was not coherent enough to realize what was about to happen. The knot began to unravel until finally, it failed, sending Claire tumbling to the ground.
Side Story: Claire
CRASH! SNAP!

Claire hit the ground hard. Fortunately for Claire, she did not die---instead, she suffered a broken arm, some broken ribs, and a bad concussion. However, by the time she fell, everyone had already vacated the premises (the underground sexfighting circuit was not known for its compassion). Dazed and confused, Claire stumbled back into the city. Eventually, a police officer noticed the woman, naked and covered in fluids with two dildos inside of her. Claire promptly received medical attention.

Later, Claire was questioned about the incident. Due to personal reasons, she refused to rat out the underground promotion. Furthermore, she could not remember who her opponent was or what she looked like, due to the concussion she suffered. Despite Claire's lack of cooperation, the police investigation still managed to uncover that Ayame was responsible for Claire's injuries. However, the police were unable to dig up much on the underground sexfighting promotion (the recruiter who recruited Ayame was caught but was mysteriously killed in jail before he could be interviewed).

As for Claire, after about three months, Claire was mostly healed. She moved cities and joined another underground sexfighting ring. There, she suffered twenty-two straight losses over the next two years. Claire's matches almost always ended up being one-sided losses for her. Eventually, Claire gave up sexfighting and moved to a different city. She started a new life working at a local Buckstars Coffee Shop.
Unfortunately for Ayame, Claire had suffered non-fatal injuries due to falling from the top of the flagpole. The police managed to track Ayame down. Ayame was convicted of battery and sexual assault, and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Eventually, after three years in prison, Ayame was released. Ayame then withdrew the money she had in her bank account. Along with the money she withdrew and the meager amount of money that she saved up from her prison job (she worked as a chef), Ayame headed to a different city (she had to hitchhike a lot). She wanted to get away from the city that she grew up in. However, with very little money and being a convicted felon and sex offender, Ayame had very little prospects. She ended up homeless and on the streets for about two weeks.
Side Story: Niko, Ayame, and someone else
While Ayame was on the streets, one night she came across an abandoned Siamese kitten. Out of pity, Ayame gave the kitten some food. She had thought that would be the end of it but the kitten refused to leave, even after three nights of trying to get it to go away. Eventually, Ayame gave up and decided to take the kitten to the local animal shelter.

On the way to the animal shelter, Ayame came across someone being mugged. Ayame managed to drive the mugger off. However, when Ayame got a closer look at the victim, she noticed that it was Claire! The two struck up a brief conversation and Ayame realized that Claire ostensibly had no recollection of their previous fight (in actuality, Claire was being truthful---she did not remember the fight). Claire then insisted that Ayame come stay with her. Despite having suspicions that Claire might stab her in her sleep, Ayame was desperate for a decent meal and shelter. Thus, Ayame and the kitten began living with Claire.

Moreover, since Ayame figured that she might end up keeping the kitten, Ayame decided to give the kitten a name. She struggled with coming up with a name but eventually settled on Niko, a name inspired by the Japanese word for cat, neko.
Through a fortuitous chance occurrence, Ayame managed to find both an apartment and two roommates---one of them being a Siamese kitten that she found while on the street and the other one being Claire, Ayame's first sexfight opponent. For the next three days, Ayame frantically searched for a job. One night, while Ayame and Claire were watching TV, Ayame's kitten pawed at the TV remote, changing the channel. The channel was changed to a news channel which was, at that moment, doing a story on LAW. More specifically, a debate was raging on about whether or not the so-called hentai matches were ethical. Since it was more interesting than the cooking show they had been watching, Ayame and Claire continued watching. Suddenly, a statement caught Ayame's attention.

"Some of the people on the LAW roster are literal criminals," said the commentator. "They show no regard as to who they sign, as long as they thing it will make money."

The debate went on, but no one bothered to argue that there were not at least a few criminals on the roster. That piqued Ayame's attention. She could make money dominating and humiliating people and to top it off, the LAW arenas were located in Japan. Ayame was fluent in Japanese so moving to Japan would not be as huge of a deal for her.

"I'm going to join LAW," said Ayame.

Immediately, Claire strongly objected---being a former sexfighter, Claire knew how brutal it could be. To top it all off, she still blushes at some of the images of herself that are floating around on the internet. Claire revealed this to Ayame but Ayame revealed that she also had sexfighting experience---albeit, most of it was in prison without a public audience. As they were talking, Ayame let a few things slip. Suddenly, Claire realized that Ayame was the one who dealt her that humiliating loss. While Claire did not remember what her opponent looked like, based on the information that Ayame revealed, she knew that Ayame was her opponent that terrible night.

After that, Claire steered clear of Ayame, not out of resentment but out of mild fear (the fear faded away really quickly). Claire did not hold any ill-feelings towards Ayame, however. While Ayame was not very talkative and quite aloof, she managed to piece together that Ayame was not a bad person per se but instead carried a lot of emotional baggage (Claire was actually quite smart).
Side Information: Claire
Claire's parents were both renowned doctors (they were unmarried). Both of them were obsessed with their careers. Thus, as soon as Claire was born, she was given up for adoption. Through some very unfortunate circumstances, Claire ended up as a sexfighter.
After Claire and Ayame finished their conversation, Ayame immediately called up LAW on the apartment's landline. After remarking that Ayame "sounded hot", the telephone operator got Ayame in touch with a manager. The two talked for a while and then the manager asked Ayame for photo and video proof of her appearance. As Ayame did not have a cellphone, she sheepishly asked Claire to use hers. While Claire reiterated her suggestion not to join LAW, she nonetheless let Ayame use her cellphone.

Over the next few days, Ayame filled out the paperwork needed to join LAW. After only a week of staying with Claire, Ayame headed off to Japan to join LAW. Claire drove Ayame to the airport and saw her off. Ayame, while thankful to Claire, did not know how to express her feelings---thankfully, Claire could read Ayame and knew how she felt.

About half a day later, Ayame arrived in Japan. With only a few possessions, two-thousand dollars in cash, and her Siamese kitten, Ayame left the airport and arrived at her new apartment, funded by LAW. The first chance she had, Ayame flopped onto the bed and fell asleep, eager to start her new life.

Meta Stuff
Winning and Losing
I would prefer for this character to win. However, losing is acceptable as long as she can put up a good fight.
References/Inspirations
This character is full of various references, allusions, and inspirations. For my own record, and in case someone else actually cares, I am listing them here:
  • Some of Kouji Seo's work, specifically Suzuka and Fuuka, had some influence on this character
    • Ayame's last name, Aoi, comes from Fuuka Aoi from Fuuka
      • The fact that Ayame has red hair was done to contrast with the fact that "Aoi" means blue in Japanese
      • Incidentally, I believe Fuuka Aoi has red or reddish hair
    • Ayame's mother being a high jumper was inspired from the fact that Suzuka in Suzuka was a high jumper. Moreover, Ayame's mother being an Olympic bronze medalist was inspired by the fact that Yamato in Suzuka won the silver medal in the Olympics for the 100m dash.
    • Ayame's explosiveness was inspired by the fact that (I think) high jumpers use a lot of explosive motion, especially in their legs
    • Ayame's parents' names, Yamato and Suzuna, were named after the characters Yamato and Suzuka from Suzuka. Yamato was directly named after the character but Suzuna was not; I did not want to copy the name as I had already made Suzuna a high jumper like Suzuka.
      • Ayame's parents' personalities were not based off of their namesakes, however. Unlike Suzuna, Suzuka could be kinda fiery. Unlike Ayame's father who forced Ayame to take up karate, Yamato from Suzuka did not force his daughter Fuuka to become a track runner (although he definitely tried to encourage her to take up track). I might have had the fact that Yamato from Suzuka tried to get Fuuka to take up track in the back of my mind when thinking about Ayame's father but I cannot recall if I actually did.
    • Fumie Kimura's first name was chosen because I wanted to choose a name that was kind of like Fuuka
    • The idea of trucks unexpectedly and suddenly killing off people (i.e. Fumie, her younger sister, and her mother) was inspired by one of the aforementioned Koujo Seo works
      • Fun/sad fact: One of Kouji Seo's works contained what is probably the most infamous example of the "Truck-kun" meme
    • Side note: I like Kouji Seo's work (or at least I like Suzuka and Fuuka) but I have not read/watched them in their entirety
  • Fumie Kimura's name, as well as her parents' names, had several inspirations
    • The last name of Kimura was from the character Kimura from Hajime no Ippo
      • I chose Kimura because he was the closest thing that Ippo had to a mentor/senior, apart from Coach Kamogawa. Ippo's other gymmates really did not fit the role. Aoki was mostly used as comic relief and Takamura was... well, Takamura.
      • Fun fact: The term "kimura" is actually the name of a submission. Apparently, some Japanese guy named Kimura managed to submit one of the Gracies (the Gracies founded BJJ) with a kimura and the Gracie family member decided to name the submission after Kimura. At least, I think that was how the story went.
    • Fumie's father's first name and Fumie's mother's maiden name were taken from the character Risuke Takenaka from the manga Teppu
    • Fumie's mother's first name Yasuho was taken from the character Yasuho Hirose from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, specifically Part 8 (JoJolion). The fact that she was a marine biologist was inspired by the fact that Jotaro Kujo from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure became a marine biologist.
    • Fumie Kimura is not named after the character from K-ON!, however (I searched up the name after I thought of it)
  • Ayame's meeting with Fumie and how she came to start training at at MMA gym was inspired by Hajime no Ippo. More specifically, it was based on how Coach Kamogawa found Takamura beating up someone and then decided to recruit Takamura to his boxing gym. I tried to think of a similar situation to put Ayame in but I was unable to think of something that made sense. Therefore, I decided to just have Ayame try to mug Fumie instead.
  • Ayame has a Siamese cat/kitten because... well, I like cats and I like kittens. Or at least the idea of them. I have never actually had a cat or kitten.
  • Claire's appearance was arbitrarily chosen
    • At the moment, I actually picture Claire as looking kinda like Chris from KonoSuba
    • Claire was originally just meant to be an opponent for Ayame to trample. However, somehow I decided to work Claire into Ayame's backstory a second time.
  • The "Red Whale Street Prison" is a reference to the "Green Dolphin Street Prison" from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean (Part 6)
  • Ayame's use of axe kicks was inspired by Ichi from Ichi the Killer. It turns out that axe kicks can actually be set up with a low kick feint so they kinda fit into Ayame's style. I am not the biggest fan of axe kicks, however.
  • Ayame's fighting style and tendency to "gas out" is based on a certain "notorious" MMA fighter
    • However, Ayame's personality is NOT based off of that fighter
    • Unlike that certain "notorious" MMA fighter, Ayame is not a southpaw (she uses both stances but slightly favors orthodox)
    • The fact that Ayame is explosive fits with how her fighting style was inspired by that certain "notorious" MMA fighter. Explosiveness (probably) implies lots of fast-twitch muscle fibers. Fast-twitch muscle fibers tire out more easily. At least one person has speculated that the certain "notorious" MMA fighter in question has a lot of fast-twitch muscle fibers and hence is prone to "gassing out".
    • It also fits how that certain "notorious" MMA fighter often uses a stance that resembles a karate stance. Most of Ayame's training was in karate so I could see how she might adopt a similar stance (although that certain "notorious" MMA fighter's base is not karate).
  • In addition to Ayame's fighting style being inspired by a certain "notorious" MMA fighter, her style is also partially based on a certain MMA fighter whom many would call a "wonderful boy".
  • The "Before the match" story was inspired by how a certain "Iron" boxer would be nervous and afraid as he would walk towards the ring but would gradually grow more confident as he got closer to the ring. I also recall hearing from someone about how one's state of mind leading up to an MMA fight and during a fight can be different (since most people don't walk around being okay with punching people in the face). That also had an influence on that story.
  • For some reason, it seems like I like to use a lot of coincidences and parallels between characters in my writing. Or at least I did with Ayame's backstory.

Faceclaim update notice
  • Changed the faceclaim for Ayame to Touko Aozaki from Kara no Kyoukai/the TYPE-MOON multiverse
    • Note for KillerV:
In the character search catalog, Ayame's faceclaim was listed as Gudako (as of October 8th, 2021). This is no longer correct. Additionally, Void-Effect's character uses Gudako (a.k.a. Ritsuka Fujimaru) as a faceclaim, but that character was not listed under Gudako in the catalog.
