Wisteria vs Ashley

Here Ashley found herself at the finals match of the 2021 Last Woman Standing tournament! She'd been through some rough matches to get to this point and she had the bumps and bruises to prove it. Courage Takemi and Ichika Rei had been tough opponents for the blonde, and from the sound of things it seemed like Wisteria Khan was set to be the same; if Ashley was being honest she was quite amazed that a relatively unknown wrestler who had debuted so recently had made it so far. But as impressed as Ashley might have been she still intended to win!

Once her theme started playing Ashley would walk out, instantly met with massive cheers from the audience after the amazing matches she had given them so far. Between Ashley and Wisteria a lot of excitement had been built up until now, and you could feel it in the air as Ashley walked down to the ring, waving at her fans as she made her way. After climbing into the ring Ashley would walk into the centre and pound a fist into the air to get one last large cheer from the crowd before her theme faded away. She would then settle in the corner and wait for her final opponent to make her appearance, a wait that felt as excruciatingly long as it had for her first ever match, or possibly even moreso as she felt the aches and pains from her first two matches throbbing all over her body.

When she had initially signed up for this tournament Sheena never imagined making it this far. Both her matches had been gruelling and intense contests with women older and more overall experienced than her, and frankly Sheena was grateful and a little surprised herself she won. Granted both bouts had been shorter as she had come to find out, but they were also brutal and hard hitting, a stark contrast to her opponent in the finals, Ashley.

Swallowing a lump of nervousness Sheena stared at the curtain as she awaited to make her entrance, knowing that this would likely be one of, if not the biggest match she ever had in her rookie year, and it was against someone with a similar style as herself, and unlike her past two opponents far closer in age but much more experienced, she couldn't deny that she had her doubts. But it wasn't what she needed to worry about right now, no as her music kicked on she banished the doubts and worries as Kyoko taught her and focused on one thing... Winning.

As the beat dropped thats when Sheena would come out and to a massive applause from the fans who had gotten behind her for her underdog victories in both her previous bouts. Standing at the entrance ramp Sheena looked around at the massive cheering crowd bathed in the purple lights from her entrance and couldn't help the proud smile that covered her face as she drank the sight in engraving it to her memory. Stepping forward she walked down the ramp with a confident gait and expression on her face as she approached the ring.

Climbing up the steps she walked to the middle of the outside apron before throwing a arm up in the air getting another pop from the crowd as she did so. Smiling softly Sheena wasted no more time as she slipped through the ropes and entered the ring proper as the light and music from her entrance died down. Focusing on Ashley across from her Sheena offered a nod to her opponent as she approached the center of the ring and offered her hand. "Congratulations on making it this far... but you won't get past me." Sheena said respectfully but in a even tone, making it clear that she had every intention of winning while waiting to see if Ashley would accept her handshake.

Soon after Ashley settled in the corner her opponent's entrance theme would kick in and Wisteria Khan would make her appearance and begin confidently strutting her stuff down the ramp. The first thing that Ashley couldn't help but notice was that Wisteria was quite fit, her body had noticeably more muscle tone than Ashley's last two opponents and she seemed to have a slight size advantage over the blonde. It seemed that in terms of pure power Ashley was at a disadvantage, though muscle power wasn't everything and Ashley fancied herself as having the advantage in technical skill and experience. It remained to be seen which would prove to be more important in the end.

As Wisteria entered the ring she and Ashley would exchange a nod before the younger fighter offered Ashley a handshake and some congratulatory words. For a second Ashley wondered if this was a trap, but as far as she could tell Wisteria was a pretty good sport and had little reason to have a grudge against her, so the blonde would step forward and accept her hand "Likewise. You've done well to get this far but I'm gonna win!" Ashley would declare with a competitive edge to her voice but a well natured grin to show she wasn't being too serious.

Soon after the handshake broke up and the two of them returned to their corners the bell would ring, signalling the start of the final match! Ashley would slowly make her way out of the corner with her hands raised, indicating that she wanted to engage in a collar and elbow tie-up with her foe. Except once she had crossed half the distance between her and Wisteria she would suddenly break out into a run and throw a kick aimed right at her gut! Having come into this match already hurt from the last two fights Ashley had no intention of starting things off slowly and methodically like she usually would and was instead going to beat Wisteria down with fast paced aggression!

For a moment Sheena wondered whether or not Ashley would accept her offer of a handshake or not. She certainly wouldn't blame the blonde, after all knew what kind of antics her previous opponents had tried? But eventually the woman reached out grasping Sheena's hand and shaking it causing the purple haired girl to smile. After her last bout she was glad to be able to start off on the right foot with her final opponent. Of course however neither were here to make friends, and Ashley's own challenging words served to remind Sheena of that making her nod in determination.

Similarly the time for camaraderie was over as the two dropped each other's hands and retreated to their respective corners. Leaning against the corner Sheena watched Ashley with a calculative gaze and unphased determined expression, already knowing this would be her most difficult bout to date. After what felt like hours but was in fact only seconds, the time for waiting was over and the bell rang, officially starting the bout between the two finalists!

Putting her hands up immediately Sheena would approach Ashley with a measured pace and see her opponent seemingly mirror her stance and approach. However it wouldn't be for long. Eyes widening in surprise as she saw Ashley dash forward there was little Sheena would be able to do before Ashley came in with her leg shot upwards to bury into her stomach! "Guh!" Gasping in pain Sheena stumbled backwards a few steps wincing Sheena would soon look up at Ashley with a determined glare before charging forward, swinging her leg upwards to try and deliver a pump kick in return to Ashley's stomach as payback!

Ashley would start the match up by approaching with her hands raised, baiting her opponent into believing that she intended to start things off with a grapple. With Wisteria sufficiently fooled by Ashley's opening gambit the blonde's kick would fly with no obstacles in it's way, striking Wisteria sharply with a swift kick right to the gut! This would leave the young fighter stumbling back to make some space, space that Ashley intended to swiftly cross so that she could continue her attack. Unfortunately Wisteria had bought herself enough time to recover from the attack, leaving her free to return fire and strike Ashley right in the gut with a kick of her own "Ugh!" Ashley grunted out as the kick forced her to hunch over, leaving her torso hanging over the mat and giving Wisteria ample opportunity to follow up on her attack!

Sheena panted, already feeling the welt forming where Ashley had kicked her. This was the final match of LAW's most brutal event of the year, so it was no wonder Ashley would come swinging like it... But the reverse was true of Sheena. Despite the kick she suffered she was able to return fire driving her own leg into the blonde's stomach and folding her over as a result! "Hah.. Still so sure?" Sheena asked rhetorically referencing Ashley's last words before the match started. Immediately after speaking them however Sheena would grab Ashley by the shoulders and pull her in while swinging her own leg up to drive her knee into the blonde's stomach! If successful in doing so Sheena would then turn, pulling Ashley along before releasing to send her fellow finalist running towards the ropes!

After the two women's exchange of strikes left Ashley hunched over and clutching her stomach Wisteria would waste little time in following up by pulling Ashley in for a knee strike to the stomach "Guhh!!" Ashley cried out as the toughness of her abs was put to the test by her foe, with bruises already beginning to form underneath her singlet from the attacks she had received. This would leave Ashley vulnerable for Wisteria to send her to the ropes with an Irish Whip, leaving the blonde running into them with too much momentum to stop herself before being bounced back and forced to run back at Wisteria!

However, though she couldn't stop her involuntary charge she could at least stop Wisteria from taking advantage of it! As Ashley was about to meet her opponent on the return visit she would attempt to duck under her attack in the hopes of avoiding it entirely! If she did Ashley would dash to the ropes on the other side, rebound off of them, then use the momentum to charge back at Wisteria and leap up for a dropkick aimed at Wisteria's spine! If this move hit then the young woman would certainly be knocked down to the mat, something that Ashley intended to take advantage of if she could.

With a fast and hard knee to the gut Sheena managed to secure an advantage against her opponent, knocking the wind out of Ashley and leaving her ripe for the purple haired girl to take advantage of. Something she wasted no time with as she yanked on the girl's arm, turning sharply and sending her final opponent running at the ropes! Sheena knew that if she wanted to win this bout she needed to keep the pressure on Ashley, more specifically she had to get as much offense in as fast as possible.

Thankfully thats what she managed to do so far as she sent her opponent running at the ropes forcing Ashley to rebound back towards her! Narrowing her eyes as the woman approached once again. Tensing and extending her arm Sheena prepared herself to push herself forward to do a clothesline on Ashley! However before she was able to do so Sheena's eyes would widen in shock as rather than impacting with Ashley's chest her arm swiped through empty air! Stumbling forward a bit more from the missed momentum Sheena would look side to side with a confused expression before...

"AGH!"

Pain exploded in her back as Ashley successfully delivered a devastating drop kick to her back making Sheena cry out in pain as Sheena flew forward face first on the mat. Hand immediately going towards her spine Sheena winced and bit her lip in pain as she tried to push herself back up. She knew that she needed to do something soon but the pain in her back was debilitating and making it hard for her to do much of anything leaving her open to whatever her opponent wanted to do next!

As Ashley was flung back towards Wisteria by the ropes she would take a gamble by ducking at the last moment, hoping that her opponent would throw an attack aimed up high, but if she misinterpreted Wisteria's intentions then she would be playing into her hands! The gamble paid off however, as Wisteria would go for a clothesline that soared over Ashley's lowered head, sending her stumbling from her wasted momentum and leaving her open for Ashley to bounce back and land a heavy dropkick on her spine!

With Wisteria lying vulnerably on her front from the attack Ashley would waste little time in getting up from the dropkick and approaching the downed girl. Given that this was Ashley's third match today she was already feeling quite drained even from their initial skirmish, so Ashley was looking to lay on the damage as much as she could to put Wisteria down rather than attempting to engage in a long and drawn out struggle with the girl.

With this in mind Ashley would stand beside Wisteria facing her legs, then she would squat down and wrap her arms around the woman's torso before starting to deadlift her off the ground with a groan of effort. Ashley hoisted her up until Wisteria was dangling in her arms by the side before flipping her up so that her legs were draped on Ashley's shoulders; a position that Wisteria would likely recognise as Ashley set her up for her signature Gutwrench Powerbomb! With a roar Ashley would drop down into a sitting position while throwing Wisteria down, looking to smash her against the mat as Ashley landed one of her signature moves early on!
